That sounds great. How did you enjoy bell ringing? I imagine it is quite cold in Wisconsin doing it. We are writing up all of our angels now for the Angel Tree. Elaine is having volunteers write them up. The good thing is a lot of our stores where we have kettle stands are also angel tree spots, so when we pick up our workers, we can also pick up toys. Last year we received about $40,000 in Angel Tree toys.Hi everyone!

CaptChris - My company gives us 1 day off (paid) each year to volunteer - for the last 2 years I have done something for the Army. Two years ago I did bell ringing and last year I did "Angel Tree".
All of my stands except for one are outside. I am really hoping for good weather this year, but the first two days (tomorrow and Friday) look like rain.The year I did bell ringing I lucked out - it was a pretty mild day and the kettle was placed inside the entryway of the grocery store. I had a bathroom and a water fountain right near by - excellent location!
I think we only have 1 angel tree spot - but it's in the mall, which is handy for people.
I can't decide which I want to do this year - they were both fun. DH brought DS to visit while I was volunteering for the Angel Tree and DS picked out an Angel - it was for a 2 year old girl, which I thought was cute. A couple days later we went shopping together and picked out the toy.
It might have been something I missed, but our we talking about a pet bird?
