Speaking of driving, my brother Pete called from the Florida Welcome Center a little bit ago. He left here at 4:30 this morning and arrived at the FWC at 4:30 this afternoon. Pete said he only had to stop twice for gas and did what he had to do at those two stops, that boy must have been moving. He is going to our place tonight because he has some stuff he has to store in our shed. Our place is about 2 to 2.5 hours from the state line.

I did some quick math here. If the DS does their 13th and 14th threads before the ship sails, they will be around 132,000 posts.

We were at about 35,500 at the end of Thread 8. We will need less than 100,000 post between now and when we sail to pass them. Using the 3,750 posts per thread, if we get through thread #34, we will have surpassed them.

I'm going with posts through sail date since some threads linger forever after the cruise. Us here will be on KK3 or BOB2 I'm sure once a date can be set.

I was thinking about that the other day Becky. I do have a pair that I received in a DCL gift bag during one of our DCL cruises, I just have to locate them. I think they are in one of our suitcases.

The last I heard, the first of the new ships is supposed to be ready by February 2011(subject to change).

Does anyone have any bee sting remedies? Harrison and his uncle and cousin got into a yellow jacket nest a little bit ago and he is miserable. Harrison got about 10 stings and his uncle got 5 and cousin 2. Any ideas?

Try Benadryl topical (it is in "stick" form). I think that's what Suz uses on DS. I will ask her and tell you if there is something else.

Meat tenderizer. Sounds weird but it works. We use it around here with the wasps that we get.

I checked with Suz and that is it. She don't do the Oral Benadryl because it can make kids either lethargic or hyper (yes, one or the other - DS gets hyper).

She says to be prepared for swelling in the first day. I remember DS getting stung on evening, looked fine at breakfast, but when we got to daycare, his eye was almost swollen shut.

Oh, and a lot of cuddling with him won't hurt either.
