And as for watching fireworks from their observation deck or even inside the restaurant ... we think it's overrated. The place gets packed with people who are trying to eat during the show or all the earlier diners who come back to watch ... it's like a cattle call and we don't care for it one bit. But a lot of people swear by it and it's worth seeing at least once so you can make up your own mind.

It's nice to have the fireworks as a background perhaps while enjoying dessert, but to go to CG just for a certain view of the fireworks? Just not a good view or phenomenal experience. Fireworks are much better from MK.

Now if it was San Fran with a stop for Ghiradelli's.......

Wait a minute...I know who's going there soon..........Chris:banana: :yay:

Miss Heather do you Ghiradelli's? We happen to have a Ghiradelli outlet just up the way from us. Any requests?:confused3

I posted a long incoherent explanation last night, but the short of it is that WDW dining isn't going to allow reservations until August 25th and they're not releasing program details until August 22nd. For people trying to finalize their travel and dining plans for a festival that begins on the last Friday in September this is just an asinine poilcy. And the events are all non-refundable now, too.

I just got tired of not knowing what we were or weren't going to be doing on our trip so I re-did everything so that we're covered for what we want and have pretty much written off all the special dining events but one or two .... depending on what the details look like when Skull and Bones, er I mean Disney, lifts the veil of secrecy.

BTW ... your food pics are making me hungry! :thumbsup2
Ahhhh, F&W details and plans. I get it now.

I have not been happy in the last couple of years with many of hte dining changes at disney. The kids choices are bland. They've taken away a lot of specialty adult drinks. The dining plan changes suck eggs. :headache:

yes, I can go on.

and yet I still love eating at disney
damn them!

113:scared1: ....are they mad? I thought 131 was bad enough for the Repo. Are you one of the 113?

I signed up before the end results came out. I am looking at oriental trading to get something cheap. I think I may have found something.plus I am going to get my sister to pay half.:thumbsup2

Well good morning everyone! Now off to get ready for work.
Neighbor, I will be checking up on you now and then if I get the chance. Kids at school have been a little "off the hook" as we say since the weather is getting hotter again.

It's 9:40 already here at work and I've done......

NOTHING!!!:lmao:

Must be nice, I have printed checks, billed people and am trying to clean up all the loose ends so I can leave a clean desk next week.

Laura can join my club Steve. I'm such a rookie at it myself.:sad1:

When is your birthday Beth? I'll write it down for next year.

"Well, blow me down". :woohoo:

Yes, and for a Hamburger today, I'll glady repay you Tuesday. :goodvibes

Scrapbooking: YIKES! I am soooo far behind. I thought I was doomed when Matthew went digital. (I love it now, though!) I'll need to kick him off his computer and take over photoshop for awhile!

Birthday: Mine is July 21. Matthew's is coming up tomorrow: July 25!!!

Popeye and friends: Yes, Wimpie, you may pay Tuesday for a hamburger today... this one time!

Okay, I'm not caught up, but Megan wants to go to Walmart to buy something that includes 3-d glasses for the upcoming Disney channel showing of Hannah Montanah concert. (Which we already saw in the theater!)

Have a great day!

Hi Steve.

Sorry I missed you. I've been up, but working, so not checking the DIS.

No prob, I jumped on for only a short time last night anyway. I was building my new controllers for my christmas lights. And that took me well into the night.

They're implementing a new reservation system but no details have been released about it. Until some time late in January 2009 ADRs can only be made 90 days out instead of the usual 180 days. After this mysterious new system is complete they will revert back to 180 day dining reservations.

Steve, if you're thinking of LTT for the character interaction dump it - the character aspect of this meal is being stopped as of the first week of January 2009. They'll still offer lunch and dinner but no furry Disney friends to make it more fun.

Haven't tried Cinderella's Caste so I can't give you any thoughts on that one, but as for California Grill ... don't go just for the fireworks. They have incredible food and service there ... yum!

And as for watching fireworks from their observation deck or even inside the restaurant ... we think it's overrated. The place gets packed with people who are trying to eat during the show or all the earlier diners who come back to watch ... it's like a cattle call and we don't care for it one bit. Thanks for the info. I knew about the characters being D/Ced from the LTT but the travel channel show really talked up the food there. As far as the California Grill goes... well, I had heard that the food was fantastic so I was looking forward to that, but the fireworks I thought would be a plus. Especially watching them from the table. But if there is going to be a bunch of people standing about obscuring the view then I'll probably not like that. (And my son usually goes bananas about that sort of thing. I don't know why but that'll set him of faster than anything I know. He hates to have anyone getting in his way of seeing something!)

I'm casting a strong "NO" vote on that one. I'd much prefer to let people make up their own minds about what they want to leave for tag.

OK. Now I'll have to put my creative thinking cap on and come up with a good idea.

I've done plenty this morning, already read 105 meters, only 20 more curb meters to finish after lunch and I will have meter book #4 done for this week, with one more day to go.

Lina's computer is toast and she is not a happy camper right now. :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

was it the storm that you were talking about?

I believe that probably had something to do with it. It was working fine when the electric went out, then 5 minutes later when the electric came back on, the computer did not come back on. The tech said it would cost as much to fix this computer as it would cost to by a new one.

Drats! Big billing job just came in. Guess the party's over earlier than I thought. :upsidedow
