Morning all! :goodvibes

The opening ceremonies last night were fantastic ... one of the best we've seen in a long long time. I was really moved by the story of the US flag bearer who is a naturalized US citizen who was a victim of all that absolutely stupid crap that has been happening in the Sudan. He was six years old when he was taken from his family and imprisoned in a labor camp. He escaped into Kenya and lived in a refugee camp until the age of 15 when he was adopted by a US family.

Truly an amazing and inspirational story and to top it off, a great political yet non-political statement by team USA as a whole. :thumbsup2

I agree they were amazing. Only thing was that Rick's video missed the lighting of the olympic flame. He used the EPG on the machine and the programme must've overrun as we missed the end.

Absolutely lovely here today. Right now it is 67* with low humidity, the high temp today will be in the low 80's, this is "MY" kind of day, especially after receiving a $284 eletric bill in the mail yesterday(our highest ever).......

We have horrible weather today...windy and rainy. A real curl up with a hot drink type of weather.

Hazel and I just got in from going to CVS, we had to pick up some meds for The Kid. Time for me to fix my Slim Fast shake for lunch!!! :thumbsup2

What you up to today? Rick and I have finished packing. No doubt here will have a few things to add yet though.

Nothing planned other than going to see "Damn Yankees" tonight at one of our local theatres. Kind of a quiet day at home until then!!!

Thanks for reminding me Cheryl, I started looking at them yesterday but didn't get to see all of them. Going back to watch them after I get my shkae made!!! :goodvibes

Andy, When we were on our vacation in June we got gas in NJ not far from NYC and you could not pump your own gas, you had to let them do it for you. Is that the way all gas stations are in NJ? This was the only place we saw that and we were surprised, we only have self-serve gas stations around here.

All I did was compare our RCI cruise with DCL the whole 4 days, and I wasn't the only one doing it either, our DD was more critical of RCI, she really didn't care for it at all. I asked her at the end of the cruise if she wanted to go back on RCI in the future, her answer was "NOPE!!!" I think I created a DCL monster.......:rotfl2:

Al keeps wanting to try another cruise line and Rachel and I don't really want too, somehow we keep managing to get him back on the Magic and he always asks after we book how it happened that we are cruising DCL again :rolleyes1 We love DCL and I'm afraid if we tried another cruise line we'd keep comparing too.

You should try another cruise line.....DCL have limited ports as you know. Princess was lovely - not sure that Rachel will appreciate it though, lots of older people on that cruise. RCL was good, but only experienced the 4 day so far.
