Okay I am going away tom for 5 nights to help out deaf children at Outdoor Adventure and I hope you have a lovely time at cruise and remember take lots of photos/video

I will be watching the Panama on Monday but I don't know what time for UK.

anyone know of somewhere nice to stay at Yosemite National Park?,as Hazel has just said "I'd like to stay there"...

You will never get a room this late. We stayed at Tenya lodge very nice but it's an hour ride into the Park. The Lodge at Yosemite Falls is the most
convienent and the Awanna- I think that's the name is really nice.

Yosemite is one of my favorites. We were there last summer, we rented bikes, rode horses and took the valley tour. It's beautiful. Good luck finding a room- maybe they have had cancelllations due to all the fires.

Did have a nice 90 minute workout this morning where I got rid of another 850 unwanted calories........

I'm guessing it will be early afternoon in the UK by the time the Magic starts heading through the Panama Canal this time around.

I'm sure I will already be at work when it enters on the Pacific side so I will have to wait until lunchtime to see if I can catch any of the Magic then....

Absolutely lovely here today. Right now it is 67* with low humidity, the high temp today will be in the low 80's, this is "MY" kind of day, especially after receiving a $284 eletric bill in the mail yesterday(our highest ever).......

Morning all!

The opening ceremonies last night were fantastic ... one of the best we've seen in a long long time. I was really moved by the story of the US flag bearer who is a naturalized US citizen who was a victim of all that absolutely stupid crap that has been happening in the Sudan. He was six years old when he was taken from his family and imprisoned in a labor camp. He escaped into Kenya and lived in a refugee camp until the age of 15 when he was adopted by a US family.

Truly an amazing and inspirational story and to top it off, a great political yet non-political statement by team USA as a whole.

Lina's BFF Trish and her mom, are joining Lina, Hazel and I tonight as we go to the Pitman Theatre to see the play Damn Yankees. Trish said she wanted to see this play, so we purchased her ticket as our high school graduation gift from Hazel and I. Hazel and I still have two more plays to see this season at the Pitman Theatre, on 10/4 we will going to see The Mousetrap and on 11/15 one of my favorite musicals, The Music Man. With buying our 2009 season tickets before 8/1, we also get two free tickets to see the Christmas show The Magic of Christmas on December 13th.

The six shows for 2009 are:

Annie Get Your Gun--Feb 7th
The Cocoanuts--Mar 28th
Oklahoma!--May 16th (Hazel's favorite)
All Shook Up--August 8th
Little Shop of Horrors--October 10th
Peter Pan The Musical--Nov 28th

We stayed at the Apple Tree Inn in Fish Camp when we went to Yosemite in 2003 http://www.appletreeinn-yosemite.com/ It didn't take us long to get into the park from there.

Oh, forgot to say earlier - all that slimfast I took on holiday must have worked...

Last year went to Greece came back about 8lbs heavier

This year went to Greece, took slimfast for every brekkie plus snack bars and swam (A LOT) and came back..........

the same weight as I went

Lina just told me that the mother of a girl she graduated high school from had a massive heart attack at the Jersey shore on Wednesday. The woman called her husband and asked him to come pick her up as she wasn't feeling well, by the time he got to her, she had passed, right there on the beach. The woman was only 54 years old. We have known this woman since Lina was in Kindergarten, as Lina and her DD Kelly grew up together.

So sorry to read this Andy. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
