I just watched it again and realized that I only picked out three of the four background songs. The one from the Lion King was a special song picked out by one sweet lady for me.

When we were on one of our excursions last weekend, cruising the intercoastal waterway in Boca Raton, Jay and I were seated at the very top level of the yacht where the pilot was steering and the wind was in our hair and we had this fabulous view of the ocean and we both just grinned at each other and said, "aren't you glad we're taking another cruise next Ocotber?"

I wonder if Jeff has been following the convention while on the cruise?

Thanks, Bendy Girl. My sister her DH and 2 kids, my brother, his DW and 2 kids and my parents are driving to Austin on Sunday and have ressies until Wednesday. The last time they evacuated (Hurricane Rita=Sept 05), they came home to this.

My mom is really nervous, but I'm sure the stops that my dad will make every hour for "scratches" will make her feel better. I'll keep y'all posted.....

There's nothing like high school football on Friday night. Quantico High Warriors won their first game in 2 years tonight! We had a blast, although my boys are not old enough to play yet (Derek will never play, I'm sure. He's a soccer boy.) Just going to events like this at the school is important to me. It fosters a sense of community for my kids, almost like "putting down roots." Joanne did you feel this way when your DH was still active duty?

Anyway, after the game, a bunch of us "girls" hopped in the car and went to see Mama Mia at the movies. I liked it, but I preferred seeing it live. We all wanted to sing along, but didn't want to offend anyone.....

Emily, 10th grade. Killing me.

Derek, 7th grade. Already taller than Emily. Killing her.

Alex's first day of 3rd grade was taken quickly and is not on this computer (and I was lucky to get one shot of him--he was so embarrassed), so here he is with Jiminy Cricket at Conservation Station in AK. I didn't even know that Jiminy was one of the characters that greeted people.

I saw the pics and discussion about the deck at the Port. We hung out a bit on it and I snagged a few pictures.

Nice piccie - does anyone know if those windows by the barrel looking things are our free ones? They sure look similar but I've only seen the view from the inside

Well it is now official. I just sent our deposit to DU and received our cabin assignment. When I told Jay and Sam, they asked what "floor" we're on then argued as to who should get the top bunk!

We are now officially on the ship!
