Yep, I know how much the tix to get into Epcot will be, but I am starting to wonder about the food at the booths.

Where can I get some info on that? I know Brenda has info.....anywhere on the DIS?

Paige, the food samples typically run between $2-$4 each, with a few so-called premium items ranging a little higher. They're tasting portions, not full-sized, but some booths are more generous than others ... no way of knowing how or when but it does happen. Heck, last fall we paid for a 6 oz Dos Equis at the booth in Mexico and they gave us a 12 oz ... when I told them it was wrong (before I even touched the cup) the girl behind the counter just told me to take it anyway.

The alcohol gets expensive fast at F&W and the portions are not generous.

Jay and I try to share everything we sample, so that we can try more. I'd say on average we can spend $125 - $150 noshing around the world showcase over an entire trip and maybe $30-$50 in one afternoon depending on how hungry we are.

Adds up fast. :scared1:

OH CUTE!! He looks like he's having a blast!

Here is DS on CC. He made shoes out of sand on the beach.

We'll be looking at Airtran, too.

I hate it because it is usually only open at 7 months out. I wish they'd do 330 days like the rest, but then again, AT will change the flight times about once a month until we fly. The big drawback for them. :sad2:

I think I've only had one job post-college that paid me for overtime. That was when I was a multimedia designer and had to do press runs in the middle of the night. It was nice getting a bit more $$ but I don't miss that job in the least!!!

Evening Mel.

Yes, it is a drawback. When I first started where I was, the "exempt" people got more vacation time, now it is all the same. No real perks for being Salaried (other than higher pay). We don't have any of our hourly employees getting overtime. We watch their hours.

We're actually using Airtran for our December flights. I got really great rates on direct flights out of Philadelphia. That is what secured our going again so quickly.

We're flying Delta in a couple of weeks and I do NOT look forward to those flights. They are not direct.

Are there a lot of different beers offered at the booths?

Thanks.

He had a blast on CC, always does. The only time he was upset is when big, bad AFEG dumped him off his inner tube. :rotfl:

Too bad AFEG won't be back before the thread closes. He won't see that to comment.

Actually, AFEG came up and went "boo". DS' reaction caused him to tip over. He was scared when he hit the water and wanted to go to shore. He had been by AFEG all trip long, but would have nothing to do with him after that (at least for 15 minutes or so :rotfl: .

Plus Delta cancels flights a lot.

The problem with going with NWA, if we go in November, would be the potential merger with Delta. Does anyone know when that is suppose to take place?

We need Jet Blue or Southwest to come into Milwaukee as Midwest cuts back to gives us service. It would be a great alternative to O'Hare for the people living north of Chicago.

Well everyone, I am back, and missing out on the airline talk.

Welcome back Chris. We just started.

Who are you major carriers up there that fly non-stop?

Is it too difficult to get to NY for flights for you?

I'm with you there, especially at Christmas time...7 days a week, about 15 hours a day from the middle of November until Christmas Eve.

Sounds like my year-end/audit time.

I have no time for myself.

Hey, I just noticed I'm only 4 posts away from 300 on this thread. Might as well get one out of the way.

What is the post limit per thread?
How do you see how many posts you have on the thread?

Matthew:confused:

The airport we typically use is Bradley which is just north of Hartford. Southwest and Delta fly direct to Orlando from there. My parents who are cruising with us live in Portland, Maine, so my dad has told me all New England airports are in play for us to fly. Looking at it, Bradley is still our best bet.

The New York airports are about 2-2.5 hours from my house. LaGuardia being the closest, but last cruise I considered flying Airtran from Westchester (White Plains). They offered a direct flight and the prices were reasonable. The only catch was getting there to catch the flights and drivign down I-95 or the Merrit Parkway during the morning rush would be rather stressful.
