I have to wait until at least June to book my airfare to make sure that I don't get transferred, so we won't be making any concrete plans until then. I do like to know what the market look like to plan though.

Another thing with Northwest is their merger with Delta and the effect that might have on the overall industry. Next year could be a very tough year for the airlines.

Well, since none of my work got done while I was away, I worked until 7pm tonight. Hazel is heating up my dinner, then I'm going to get a nice hot shower and chill out for the rest of the evening!!!

This is the bad thing with my job, when I'm away, nothing gets done......

I just looked, and we will not beat the top 3 posters (not counting us) on this thread. We'd have to go to Page 258+ and get all the posts until that point to do it.

I'm only quoting this post to say CONGRATS to Walt, this was post #40,000 on the BOB threads.

BTW, we have surpassed the total posts on the KK board. I think we touched just over 41,000 there.

My calcs on the EB Repo thread was a total of 131,480 for post up until the time the ship sailed. We have 13+ months to go. Wonder if we'll make it?

We could book at 330 days out, but the only airline that books that early from MKE and flies non-stop is Midwest. I would NOT bank on them being around at that time. They maybe, but I won't take the gamble.

I will wait for Air Tran to release their fares.

Northwest I think flies non-stop now, but they are over priced.

To top it off, the prices will be high because it is Teachers' Convention weekend at the end of the cruise and everyone will be flying down to FL that weekend. The return flights will be bad.

We'll be looking at Airtran, too.

Yes, it is a drawback. When I first started where I was, the "exempt" people got more vacation time, now it is all the same. No real perks for being Salaried (other than higher pay). We don't have any of our hourly employees getting overtime. We watch their hours.
