Thanks, Bendy Girl. My sister her DH and 2 kids, my brother, his DW and 2 kids and my parents are driving to Austin on Sunday and have ressies until Wednesday. The last time they evacuated (Hurricane Rita=Sept 05), they came home to this.

My mom is really nervous, but I'm sure the stops that my dad will make every hour for "scratches" will make her feel better.:rotfl: I'll keep y'all posted.....

true dat. See, Di is not the only one who knows all the kids lingo.:rotfl:

Oh my  Here's some pixiedust: for them so that it never happens again!!!

Well, since I seem to be all alone, I think I will post a few pics....

How about 1st day of school?

Emily, 10th grade. Killing me.

Paige, love the pics :goodvibes Great looking kids

I especially love that first pic....I spy with my little eye.....something that is cute and furry and peeking out the window :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Good morning everyone...

It's 5:40 am, so I slept in a little better.....too bad I was up until past midnight!

My mom fell while riding her bike with a friend yesterday and fractured her foot in 2 places. She had to have surgery on it last night, and she is fine, but now I'm trying to figure out how things are going to work out when she comes home. Her condo is an upstairs unit, so she'll probably need to come stay with me for a while first (we have a ranch house). I'm sure there will be doctor's appointments and such she'll need to go to, and I work full time. I could use some pixie dust - here's hoping my boss will be understanding through all of this!

On the plus side, Pete came home yesterday! He got home early and we picked Thomas up from daycare together. Thomas was pretty happy to see his daddy!

Sorry to hear that Jen

Karen - I venture out to the Dining and Cruise main boards. I occasionally hop on a TR or two, as well (cruise or regular WDW ones).

I've been loving TGM and Tagrel a lot lately. So other than those, another board I love called The Lodge and this thread, that's about it! :)

Have a safe trip Andy!!!

Off to play cards with the hubby! :)

Mel, I "purchased" TGM for our Dec. trip seeing how we will be at WDW when it will be very, very crowded! Do you just look at all the TGM info or do you read the boards there too? I haven't really checked out the boards there at all, just the pages and page of planning info, am I missing something?

Good luck with the outlaws Bendy :thumbsup2:goodvibes

Mike & Robin, have fun at Addi's second birthday party today!! party:

Sistah! I believe I keep seeing that same picture on the news every now and then. I never realized it belongs to your folks. For all of you.

Karen, that first portwhole(free window), you are talking about that sits back from the others, that's cabin 5520, which is my cabin!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Anyone got a pick of the other side...or is it exactly the same? I have a SPH for the BOB cruise and I'm still worried that I won't like it. I'm used to a cabin with a verandah. :snooty: ;)

i can pop around to all the SPH cabins and snap pics for future girls of the
konked kruisers calendar.:woohoo: :cloud9:

You may want to skip my window Dawg. Your calendar efforts will come to a screeching halt!

Great pics Paige - your kiddos are too cute! :goodvibes

  for Jenmouse and her mom.

heading off to lunch with the in-laws today ... :scared1: send us some good vibes if you can spare them. There's always one set of parents that seem to stick in the craw, ya know what I mean? Oh well, I can have a couple of key lime pie martinis and they'll just fade into a pleasant blur.

EDITED to remove unnecessary negativity ... you guys don't need to listen to me crab. ;-)

:wizard: For you too Bendy :wizard:

Great pictures Paige. Much nicer than those lovely little faces that we saw in Key West last year. :lmao:

yes I called her and she was doing okay. She was in the bathroom when I called her twice. She figured whoever was calling would call her back if important. thanks for asking. Yes we had a great time with you all too. Diane

Glad she is OK :goodvibes

Walt and I spend the day biking from Milwaukee to Green Bay to Sturgeon Bay. It was a nice trip. Now I know where Door County is that Jen talked about last summer. We ate supper in the hotel tonight then went for a walk. We walked by the Harley party but did not stop. We are pooped. Have to get up early tomorrow morning for parade. It is 4 miles long but it will take 4 hours someone told me. How am I going to hold the flag that long. I guess I will do it for Walt. He is having so much fun up here. It is like Christmas for him. I am having a great time too. He is probably sleeping as I am dising so I better go up and get some rest. We have a long day tomorrow with parade in the AM and parties all afternoon into the evening. Bruce Springstein will be there tomorrow night. Well I will close for now. As my grandkids say "Peace Out" :hippie:

Diane and Walt I have the Harley parade on TV in the background as I catch up here. I keep looking up when they mention they are showing some of teh HOG chapters ride by in hopes that I will catch a glimpse of you. Diane I hope the flag holding is going OK! They keep showing a bike that has a lot of flags attached to it, 5 or 6 large American flags along with another large flag and a bunch of little American flags :thumbsup2

You drove up to a beautiful area of our state yesterday! If you are still looking for a Packer shirt for your grandson they usually have them at the Kohls dept. stores in the area and I have seen them at some of the local Targets and Wal-Marts too.

Have a great rest of your stay and safe travels home :moped:

Paige, keeping your parents and your brother and sister and their families in our thoughts and prayers :grouphug: I can't even begin to imagine the kind of flooding like you show in the picture and what must all be involved in the "clean-up". Hopefully they won't have to go through that again! :wizard: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Derek, 7th grade. Already taller than Emily. Killing her.

Alex's first day of 3rd grade was taken quickly and is not on this computer (and I was lucky to get one shot of him--he was so embarrassed), so here he is with Jiminy Cricket at Conservation Station in AK. I didn't even know that Jiminy was one of the characters that greeted people.

Great pictures :thumbsup2 and I love your "captions".
Our kids sure are growing up right in front of our eyes like you mentioned the other day! I bet Derek doesn't ever let Emily forgetthat he is taller than her, now that Rachel is taller than me she likes to stand next to me to prove it.

Nancy, the other side is the same, not sure if exactly but there is "stuff" in front of the portholes. We've been in SPH rooms on both sides of the Magic and we were always happy with them, it was nice to have a "free" porthole and be able to see what the weather was like outside. Like Chris, we had had maintenance working right outside more than once. 5520 & 5020 have the least amount of stuff in front of the porthole, 5524 & 5024 have the most.

Hi guys..thought I'd quickly pop on and say hello. Hope you are enjoying the blog? We are all well...although we've all had a few sniffles and a few scratchy throats. Looks like we missed the hurricane and tropical storm, so should be OK for Castaway tomorrow.

Back again when we get free internet access in the hotel.

Lots of love

Its exactly the same. Here is the view from 5522. My parents were in 5520 and our view in 5522 was not much more obstructed.
