Good evening everyone. I am getting ready to light the pumpkins and see how many kids actually come out our small, dark, deserted street in between two cemetaries and a 350 year old Indian monument....

Well, its just me and the dog once the family leaves to go trick or treating.Wow, sounds like a party!
b/t/w your siggie line is looking quite pro-fessional these days![]()
We BOBers are also doing our own trick or treating. The information is on Cass's site. We are also looking forward to possibly doing MNSSHP on 10/31 the night we disembark as well. The kids will have sooooo much candy.Any T-O-Ters yet? I read somewhere that DCL will have trick or treating on the ship next year for anyone sailing around Halloween. Does that mean they'll have it on our cruise? I can jsut see the wee ones disembarking in their costumes and trick or treating on the way out.

Only one kid has come to the house so far. I may turn out my lights soon!
That sounds like fun..It was shortly after I read about the Bash trick or treating that I read something about the ship doing it. I didn't know if it would be on our cruise or the one that leaves the day we return or both. I may have to take some special decorations for our cabin again - although this time they may have to be Halloween themed. This year I took my lights that were palm trees and parrots and we strung them up in the couch area in the cabin. We also had streamers from one of the shows, so we draped those on the light cords. It was festive.

I am sitting here reading about DVC FAQ's. I don't want to spend a fortune and I really hate the thought of annual fees. I am sure I could work those in, but that would be a major sticking point for Elaine. I think we would go to WDW at least every other year, so if we got 100-120 points we should be ok if we borrowed or banked. Maybe after the cruise next year, I will do some major thinking. Maybe our first WDW trip after the cruise can be as DVC members. The odds are long, but improving I think!
Yeah I was looking at the resales. If we did this, we would do a resale to save some $$$$. I also would want to have a better selection for a home resort as well. I know Elaine would want AKV, i would be more interested in BCV, BWV. I do like the theming though for AKV. Ahhhh, who knows. WDW has always been my favorite place to go, and it is now approaching 4 years since we have been there, so i desperately want to get back and have a blast of a vacation!I think that DVC is requiring a minimum of 160 points for a buy-in. You can do much better on the (reputable) resale market if you're looking for 100-120. Some of those contracts even come with some banked points! The word on the street is that there will be some sweet deals on the resale market next year, with people looking to sell their points for cash. Remember, too, that there are other DVC benefits such free parking, discounts, etc. Not to mention that it is something you can pass to your children...

I just had two, and then my kids of course! We've only had about 6 kids so far tonight and the curfew for those under 18 starts in 20 minutes. Last year we had about 25 kids. I wonder how many people from our area went over to Philly today for the Phillies Celebration?

Yeah, I want to kick back and relax soon. Hard to do that when you "think" you might have to get up and pass out candy.
Thanks Dan...Chris Nancy and I have been members since 2001. At that time we were on the fence but we are so glad we did it. As you know Chris both Nancy and I are retired. We arn't the riches people just regular workers who had a family and now are enjoying our second family our DVC friends like Roger and Joanne, Kathy' Mimi and Mack, Mary. Leasha and Tom. I could go on and .on They will be withus on the BOB. We met Roger and Joanne two years ago on a cruise and have become fast friends.
Your still young with kids Chris this is the time to do it so you all can enjoy it for while the kids are young. If not you and your wife enjoy it. I know we do .
