I think that DVC is requiring a minimum of 160 points for a buy-in. You can do much better on the (reputable) resale market if you're looking for 100-120. Some of those contracts even come with some banked points! The word on the street is that there will be some sweet deals on the resale market next year, with people looking to sell their points for cash. Remember, too, that there are other DVC benefits such free parking, discounts, etc. Not to mention that it is something you can pass to your children...

Amen, Kathy! It really is worth it and we wish we had done it so much sooner. We always thought we couldn't afford it and that we were already doing Disney on a shoestring. Had we done it earlier, we could have done Disney more often and more nicely than we had. We even took our "once in a lifetime, only time on property trip" before we bought into DVC. We splurged since it would be what we thought was our only time to stay on property. We could have almost paid for our DVC with what we spent on that trip.

A friend sent me this today:confused3:confused3:confused3.

I had to forward that on to some family members.

This is very cute! I wonder what little Kira would think of this - she doesn't like the gooey stuff, right Cass? :rotfl:

Ewwww Kathy - thinking of me last night; ewwww.

Chris Nancy and I have been members since 2001. At that time we were on the fence but we are so glad we did it. As you know Chris both Nancy and I are retired. We arn't the riches people just regular workers who had a family and now are enjoying our second family our DVC friends like Roger and Joanne, Kathy' Mimi and Mack, Mary. Leasha and Tom. I could go on and .on They will be withus on the BOB. We met Roger and Joanne two years ago on a cruise and have become fast friends.
Your still young with kids Chris this is the time to do it so you all can enjoy it for while the kids are young. If not you and your wife enjoy it. I know we do .

Another nod to the DVC and the reasons why. If we had bought when our kids were younger, I can't even begin to imagine the memories we'd have made as a family.

Elaine had our kids out, but Jay got tired so now he is sitting here eating candy watching SpongeBob.

She still has Samantha out though and will probably be back in a little while.

The "not" so funny thing is, Hazel bought Hershey's chocolate bars for 30 kids, all these leftover chocolate bars, not counting what Lina brings home later.

8pm....curfew hour has arrived......

Watching SpngeBob! My husband would be laughing his head off if he were watching SpongeBob. As much as he loves reffing football, I think he'd rather be watching SpongeBob right now - well, it'd be close.

I too wish we had done it earlier. We spent all those years at the all star. I really like having a kitchen. Breakfast would have been so much easier and cheaper ,when they were little. My youngest has been to the beach club with us but DS # 1 has not been. It would have been cheaper if we had sone it in 94 when we got back to the states.

Yes we have made great friends. It's amazing how much we all had in common. Our dinner table at the DVC cruise was fabulous. We were never in a huury to leave.

I'm not yielding to temptation, I had Hazel hide the leftover chocolate bars............:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We've only had about 6 kids so far tonight and the curfew for those under 18 starts in 20 minutes. Last year we had about 25 kids. I wonder how many people from our area went over to Philly today for the Phillies Celebration?

What time is curfew out there? It is 11:00 here.

6 kids, that's it? When we lived in Waukesha we'd push 200.
