We stayed in the East Tower. The tower rooms are bigger than the pyramid rooms. We stayed in the pyramid last time and didn't like it because we kept hitting our heads on the slanty part :rolleyes1 Plus when I found out that they haven't been refurbished in over 10 years, I really didn't like that part! The pyramid rooms were cheaper but we only payed about $135 a night, which was our budget so I am glad we went with the tower. Mind you, it is a little further away from everything but after eating burgers all day, I needed the exercise! :goodvibes

Yeah, I'd much prefer the towers, but I got out voted by a 7 year old. Actually, Suz and I have been staying off-strip lately in non-gaming hotels. We are actually liking those better. We stayed in the Embassy Suites before the 1 night (that's what I gave DS) on the strip.

We stayed in the Luxor back in 1994 and had a concierge room (free upgrade at check-in). It was nice back then because it was newer. My pyramid room was definitely in need of repair this last trip. Seemed like a lot of wasted space in my room too. Not sure if that is because of the slant of the window. I would like to have seen the tower rooms. I hear they are much better.

Hi guys. Sorry I haven't been around but I didn't have access to the boards in a hospital room! I had a really bad headache on Tuesday, then that afternoon my neck started hurting and when I got home I started with a fever. We went to the ER and I had a spinal tap and they found I had meningitis. It is viral so that is a good thing. I got home a couple of hours ago but am still sore. No work for me tomorrow. Can't go til Monday. So I'm sure I'll have time to catch up.

    For you Lori.

Double posts don't count?:rotfl2:

:lmao: Very good. :lmao:

Nancy, I loved the photos. I loved the prize basket. I love Dirty Dancing. It was filmed mostly at Mountain Lake in Va. That is near where I am from. That lake is now dry. It had a leak. Here is a pic of the gazebo from the movie that the lake came right up to. You can see the lake in now so low.

Is that lake as empty as this one?? BTW...Where did the water go Lori? I never heard of a lake having a leak.

OK, I had to sign back on and share something funny with everyone. Hazel and I exchanged anniversary cards a few minutes ago. We bought each other the exact same card but at different Hallmark stores. We also added the #33 between the words Happy Anniversary. The card she got me, and I got her, were both the same cards we picked up first and didn't look at any other cards. I guess you could say were are in sync.

 Happy Anniversary Andy and Hazel, Chris and Lynn

Everyone ready for another free-fall in the markets today? :scared1: Futures are down by the max for pre-open.

AFEG, I see the Pound:Dollar is down to around $1.55. That's a huge drop since before the repo.

On the brightside, oil is down around $63+. Maybe we'll get lucky and DCL will remove the fuel surcharge (or did they already).

Your not funny ex-friend....:rotfl2: I think we could go as low as $1.30 which would stop us coming over in the near futureI almost bought 5k to stash away just in case a couple of weeks ago,the rate then $1.72....:scared1:....hindsight is a wonderful thing :sad2:

We were about £1 for $2 around the REPO .....:sad2:

To all the jammy (lucky) people going away this weekend have a wonderful time.....:) And don't forget to buy Jeff as many goodies as he can eat....:rolleyes1

Didn't you get like $2.04 or $2.07 to 1 about a month before the repo?

Should have stocked up.

Don't worry chubby, I can wait until next May/June to start and still beat you. After my back surgery, I lost 45 pounds in the matter of 3-4 months. Then my audit came around and I didn't have time to workout and I ate bad. This year, before the repo, I couldn't workout, but I at least ate good. Still lost during that time this year.

Our bet is still ON! I will win.

Good morning everyone...

I think today was the coldest morning yet, oh well it is almost November. My sister and I were talking the other day and she said if it is this cold next year she won't be wearing shorts on the plane to Florida. She doesn't want to be freezing while we park, wait for the shuttle bus, etc.

I am thinking about how much does a pair of jeans weigh and how will that effect my luggage weight on the way home!

I just opened it up and plan to read it throughout the work day. :cool1:
LOL, nothing exciting, trust me! Let's just say that the burger didn't agree with me :scared:

It's there whenever you have some time Mel :goodvibes No rush ;)

I bought some at $2.13 i remember it being far better than any back that's for sure....

I always go shopping on Black Friday with my brother (aka Frank for those that know him). When he lived in Bethel, CT. we would get to the Danbury Mall at 7 am and there would always be people leaving that had already finished their shopping. Now that he lives in Riverside, CT,, we go the The Westchester (yes, it's so hoity-toity they don't even call it a mall!) The 1st time we got there at the crack of dawn and we found out that rich people don't get up early - we had the whole place to ourselves! So, now we don't get there quite so early...

Now you are in my old stomping grounds..........

Good morning all! I hope everyone has a great Friday. It is actually going to be a rather chilly day in Atlanta today - already hit the high of 54 and it is falling all day and raining too - I wish I could stay home with a good book and a fire. Mack refs tonight and the game is on a local channel - should be a wet and cold one.

Happy anniversary Andy and Hazel and Chris and Lynn!

Here too , it's been raining for 2 days.... Where is sunny FLorida?

Happy Friday all.
