We stayed in the East Tower. The tower rooms are bigger than the pyramid rooms. We stayed in the pyramid last time and didn't like it because we kept hitting our heads on the slanty partPlus when I found out that they haven't been refurbished in over 10 years, I really didn't like that part! The pyramid rooms were cheaper but we only payed about $135 a night, which was our budget so I am glad we went with the tower. Mind you, it is a little further away from everything but after eating burgers all day, I needed the exercise!

Yeah, I'd much prefer the towers, but I got out voted by a 7 year old.
Actually, Suz and I have been staying off-strip lately in non-gaming hotels. We are actually liking those better. We stayed in the Embassy Suites before the 1 night (that's what I gave DS) on the strip. We stayed in the Luxor back in 1994 and had a concierge room (free upgrade at check-in). It was nice back then because it was newer. My pyramid room was definitely in need of repair this last trip. Seemed like a lot of wasted space in my room too. Not sure if that is because of the slant of the window. I would like to have seen the tower rooms. I hear they are much better.

I had a really bad headache on Tuesday, then that afternoon my neck started hurting and when I got home I started with a fever. We went to the ER and I had a spinal tap and they found I had meningitis.
It is viral so that is a good thing. I got home a couple of hours ago but am still sore. No work for me tomorrow. Can't go til Monday. So I'm sure I'll have time to catch up.
Very good.
