Say hi to Mack and hope you enjoy your Pulled Pork.

danandnan

Home from work - the house smells SOOOOO good! I can't wait till dinner is done! Okay - adventure together in 2012! Sounds great! How blessed you two are to have been together so long! We are a blended family, so we missed out on way too many years! I am so thankful for what we do have though - and to finally know what marriage is suppsoed to be!

Mimi,

What number anniversary are you celebrating in 2012?

I'm looking for a longer WDW vacation sometime soon too. We did a week the first time we took DS in 2003, but since then it has just been long weekends or a couple days before a cruise. Would like to just go and "take it all in" again.

It will be our 20th anniversary in 2012.

Good morning/afternoon all! How is everyone?

I'm doing pretty well....lots going on at work but otherwise things are pretty quiet here.

I'm starting to try and get organized for Christmas and our AZ/DL trip....I've just figured out I have a lot to do between now and then.

For Christmas presents for my in-laws (Pete's mom and dad and sister and BIL) I am making a "DCL care package". I am making them each a "BOB" t-shirt, custom luggage tags, and a couple of door signs for their cabins. Does that sound odd? I think they'll enjoy them, and I know it's something they wouldn't do on their own. Hopefully they'll like them. But that means I have to get all that stuff made up!

I think this is an outstanding idea! To be sure they will love it!!!

Hawaii sounds good to me. If we all save our points it will only cost air fare.We can do our own adventures by disney.

I'm game - let's start planning for it! Hawaii would be amazing!!!!

Oh My, the funniest thing just happened to me. I was in a warehouse attempting to read the water meter. The meter is on the top of two 6" pipes about 6' above the floor. The only way to get to the meter is to stand on the bottom pipe, which I have done hundreds of times. Well, this morning I lost my footing and started slipping off the lower pipe, as I was slipping off, my foot kicked the emergency valve and water went spraying everywhere. By the time I was able to get to the valve and shut the water off, I looked like a drowned rat. Luckily, no one saw what had happened. I quickly climbed back on the pipe, being extra careful since it was now wet, read the meter, and ran out of the buliding. I had one more building to go to after this happened and you should have seen the looks I got going in there as I was still dripping wet.........:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I got home for lunch a few minutes ago and put a dry set of work clothes on for this afternoon...........:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Oh my goodness - that is SO funny! I do wish you had pictures. Too funny!!!!

I wasn't even thinking, I should have had Hazel take some pics of me when I got home for lunch, I think everyone would have enjoyed those pics.......:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That would have been a funny picture. Getting soaked fully clothed is never fun!

I see that a lot of people are looking at doing a WDW vacation next. If you had a choice between doing a couple of weeks in either the end of june or the beginning of july vs the 2 weeks at christmas time (like the 19th on) what would you choose?

If I'm going in the summer, I'd prefer to go as early in the summer as possible - less heat and humidity, less chance of tropical weather, some schools go into June, so those folks probably won't take their vacations first thing - maybe less crowded; and I'd want to go about then anyway since we get out of school in May and go back in early August. My preference though would be to go at Christmas - I'd love to be there at Christmas, and with that much time, who cares if it is crowded.

Christmas.

The crowds will probably be just as nuts either time, so why not go and see the decorations.

Granted the rooms will be more.

Why not do 1 week in summer and 1 week near Xmas (go the 19th to the 26th and get out before the crowds show up :thumbsup2 ).

I am *hoping* we can do a week at WDW in 2010. I need to do my research, but it looks like late August is a value season at WDW (correct me if I'm wrong) and they sometimes have free dining. I'm sure it's hot in FL at that time, but we wouldn't have to take DS out of school then.

Once we do that, I may have gotten enough Disney in for a while and we can do other vacations....

:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Hurricane season is in full swing in late August. Not too dangerous in Orlando, but it could "rain on your parade."

Besides the ending shows in the parks, there are the afternoon parades. I think the last time we really watched one was on our Oct '03 trip (when we went for a week).

I really would like to get back there and just take our time going through the parks and making it a point to see all the parades and show.

I don't think we need a full week, but more than the 2-3 nights we spend there. I think, with the right flight times, we could do it in 5 nights, but I'll take 7.

We were there for 2 weeks this past summer and it wasn't enough.....;)

Would love to but the airfare would kill me. We are just trying to plan for Sarah's graduation. She doesn't care when she goes so I am thinking we could try and get a treehouse and take her brother and his girlfriend at christmas as a present as well.
