So Dawg, if you and Tart come up to WI, you can get all your "extreme" stuff done in one afternoon. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

I think that will take care of your ticker for sure..........

I just got done booking the WB crossing. Cat 7. That is the year I turn 40 so I figure it will be a year long celebration. Yeah if WDW get almost 18 months to celebrate something, I get at least one, right?

Annette :)

Good job Annette! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Just wondering if anyone else instantly knew the meaning of the VA plate! (Or am I the only die-hard grown-up Harry Potter fan on this cruise?)

Beth, Brenda is a total Harry Potter fan. She even has HP parties when a new book comes out. :)

Okay... now that is LOW.

I admit to taking pictures of kids, hubby, self in hats/ears etc and not buying the hat or ears. But, come on... this is thievery! That is their work...their property...not just the print, but the image itself!

Last year I saw people taking the pictures from Shutters, sitting on the steps "pretending" to look them over and the next thing you know, they're running up the steps with a ton of pictures in their hands, pockets, purses. I saw it more than once too.

Anyone else book for 2010 today?

Can you believe that 2010 is cheaper than 2009? I was shocked at that, but very happy.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I did get a 2010 ressie. :thumbsup2

I went zip lining with my 76 year old father in St. Lucia last April. I can't believe how much fun it was!!! :yay:

Good for Dadio!   What a trooper. :thumbsup2

I finally got my painting done! :woohoo: I just have some small trim to worry about but it is pretty much done! My back is killing me though.

I LOVE THIS!!!!:rotfl:

That's how I was feeling last night until I took two aspirin, they helped greatly!!! :thumbsup2

That's the worst! :headache: That's straight shoplifting.

I wonder if the same people would go into Mickey Mates and pocket merchandise and sneak out? They probably self justify by saying, "Hey, they're just going to throw them away anyhow..." There's no excuse for stealing. ::cop:

I wonder if DCL has security cameras that they catch these folks on. Perhaps they get a knock on their cabin door or a bill before the end of the cruise. :bitelip:

This brings up an interesting question. If they catch somebody onboard doing something illegal, shoplifting, stealing from other guests, etc., what do they do with them? Is there a DCL Master at Arms. Is there a brig? Do they wait and hand them over to authorities at the next port?

At the airport, you see thefts of opportunity. Laptops at the checkpoint, unattended carry ons that "walk away". There must be some of that occuring on cruise ships too.

Interesting question! I hope they have a way of dealing with anyone who is breaking the laws or hurting others on board. I would think this would all depend on the laws in which country the ship is registered or the ownership of the waters at the time of the crime, possibly - but I would think registry would carry more weight if not in port. I do hope there are means and facilities though.

True story - We were on the riverboat Missisippi Queen, docked in Baton Rouge, when some drunken idiots thought it would be fun to jump from the dock onto the boat. Big mistake. Some big, burly security guys grabbed them and locked them up until the police arrived. We were told that they could actually be charged with PIRACY, under maritime law, since they boarded the boat without permission.

It seems that it would be a bad idea to commit a crime anywhere if you're not sure what law might be applied or what the consequences might be...

OK, I probably missed this somewhere. What is behind the bunny with the waffle on its head? I just noticed the cute one hopping around in your siggie line.

No problem. The little hopping bunny is what started it all! We had a thread for the SS Member Cruise 2008 and were getting silly one night talking about smilies when Mark posted the little hopping bunny. Turns out that he represents a very famous bunny, Oolong the performance bunny, who even has his own Wikipedia entry! He was famous for being photographed balancing things on his head, including pancakes and waffles. We thought he was so cute that some of us adopted him as sort a of mascot. We even had a picture taken in Palo with pancakes on our heads on the member cruise.

I saw the Palo picture and kinda wondered. I figured whatever is fun while on the cruise is OK. I thought maybe your waiter suggested it. I hear they've been known to put funny things on people's heads. :rotfl:

Good to know - I'll be listening for when it is the waiter's idea. Could be interesting.
