b/t/w Nancy G - If you were 'absolutely perfect' instead of 'practically perfect' you wouldn't have any fun at all!

Believe me, I'm far from absolutely perfect and practically perfect. More like "not even near perfect". :goodvibes

Happy Birthday Nancy K!!!

In the spirit of jumping on the bandwagon about something I didn't know ... DITTO!!

Man I'm out of it this morning ... drugs all kicked at once last night and I got great sleep ... and would like three more days of it. :lmao:

Just call me fog girl ...

Good morning everyone!

The poison ivy seems to be going down. The hot water in the shower didn't irritate nearly as much as yesterday morning. No snow here. I think it is in the mid 30s going to about 47 today. I need to do some yardwork this afternoon but I am staying away from any mysterious brush!

It's funny, Samantha was just watching the news and proceeded to tell us all about Barack Obama and that she wanted him to win because he will end the war, and make things right. She even knew Michelle's maiden name and the names and ages of the Obama girls. I asked her, "do you know anything about John McCain? She said, "no" I just thought it was interesting that she knew so much about that one candidate and not the other. She is young enough that I am not worrying about partisan teaching.
Walt and I have stayed everywhere. Dolphin, Swan, Carribean Beach Resort, Contemporary, Polynesian, All Star Music, Sport and Movies, Pop Century, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Coronado Springs. We liked them all. The monorail hotels are great but pricey. The convenience of not taking the buses is a plus. The Swan and Dolphin are nice and comfy. The beds are the best. I don't feel like I am at Disney when I stay there. The Value Hotels are nice. We don't spend that much time in the hotels anyways. We get up early and get back to the room late. My grandkids love the pools at the value hotels. I like the cafeteria style restaurants. I would rather stay at value hotels and have more money to spend on the eats (special meals especially character meals), gifts etc. We can stay longer if grandkids and me stay at the value hotels. By the time we get back from the parks we are exhausted. All we want to do is take a shower and go to bed. The buses are great at the value hotels. I liked taking the boat while we stayed at Wilderness Lodge. Animal Kingdom was far but it was nice to look out at the animals in the savannah. I could go on for ever giving all the pros and cons. Diane
Thanks for the quick review. There are so many choices and Elaine likes to spend the extra money on tickets, airfare, and incidental expenses too. Just once or maybe twice I would like to splurge! I have kicked around the idea of DVC, but I hate the idea of paying annual fees!

Mornin' all....

I'm just getting ready to start another day....DS gets to take his Halloween costume to school for a party today, and then the Parent-Teacher organization is having a Halloween Party for the kids from 5:30-7! Then no school on Thursday and Friday, so he'll be going to his former daycare while we're at work. Then we'll go trick-or-treating on Friday!

So, what's your DS or DD going to be for Halloween? Thomas is going to be a knight!

Asiah is going to be a vampire. My sweet innocent girl no longer wants to be a princess. She has all the Disney costumes. I guess we will put them away for the next little princess. Elijah is going to be a chef but he cooks bones. Pretty grouse. (sp) Diane

Actually, Lina and her BFF Trish are dressing up and going out, how I dread have any candy (especially chocolate) in the house.

Lina is going to be a "cat" and darn, I forget what she said Trish was dressing up as. :confused3

Time to get ready to head over for my morning workout, see everyone later on.......:wave2:

I am going to be a Harley girl. I leave either Thursday night or early Friday to go to Dallas to spend day at work with Erika my daughter. She works at Southwest Airlines aand they have a party all day. She is dancing/cheering with her friends during the Halloween show. They are doing High School Musical. I go every year if I am home. Last year I was at Disney World. I will spend the day with her then go home and watch kids get ready for treat or trick. Elijah is giving out candy this year and Asiah said she will be going trick or treating as soon as she gets her costume on. She is so excited. She told Elijah she will split the candy with him. I would normally stay for weekend at Erika's but Asiah has a cheering competition on Saturday. Hope the flights are good. All we need is one seat for me. I fly space available non-rev. Di

How is non reving on Southwest? I have a Rapid Reward ticket that I want to use for the BOB cruise, but I have never used one before. Will I have problems trying to use it? I have read so many stories about these FF programs, that I am a little nervous that I won't be able to get a seat on the plane using my Rapid Reward ticket.

:bday:HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANCY K !!!:bday:

Shouldn't be a problem, if you book the RR flights when they become available. Appears to be a 4 month window. To be safe, call southwest :thumbsup2

Non Reving is an art ....:confused3

Di and DD are pros at it. Since I work, I use our RR tickets...

Walt :cool1:

Wow I have not been on in a couple of days and have missed alot. :surfweb: We are freezing here in KY. I am working a lot of hours hoping that we will not have to do another round of layoffs. I am so upset over the prospect of losing more co workers. :sad1: I know that things will get better in time but it is hard to wait. I get so angry that upper management sees positions to cut not the actual people that are affected. Enough of my rant. I need a DIsney fix!!!!!

Have I missed anything big?

Happy Birthday Nanck K!:cake: party: :bday:

and one day late :scared:

Happy Birthday Megan!:cake: party: :bday:

Happy Birthday Sarah!:cake: party: :bday:

Always good to get home. We are thinking we will do the park next eyar on Saturday after the cruise - that will take some extra energy!

I think we are going to stay several days after the cruise at WDW. I am going to be bouncing off the walls by then. I am so excited already.

Us too, but we will be staying at our vacation home in Lake County, FL(90 minutes from the port area). Probably will be staying there a few days before the cruise as well, then driving down and staying at the Radisson Friday night for the DISmeet around the pool!!! :goodvibes

As of right now, I am planning on taking a two week vacation next October.

Just got in for lunch and to get warmed up a bit. At least it has been dry today, did see a few sn*w flurries this morning, but other than that, it hasn't been too bad today.
