G'night all - I am turning this thing off for the night.

Any of you SS member cruisers own at AKV? I am trying to find someone to rent 85 points from (I had a deal with someone but then they backed out :headache: at the last minute) for next October.

I need an AKV owner because I want to rent the Value 1-bedroom and I am guessing those will be gone by the 7 month mark. ::yes::

PM me if anyone is interested :thumbsup2

I've finished my Vegas trip report :thumbsup2 Just posted my last day if anyone is interested. Link is in my siggie :goodvibes

I guess you don't since there were 3 minutes between your post and mine, but it wasn't intentional with that kind of gap.

I'm just joking with ya. There was a time on previous threads where I would purposely go out and steal people's FO's. I'm a kinder, gentler Jeff now. :lmao:

Hi all....

I have spent the entire night in front of my computer - and not a lot to show for it. I've been trying to do some DISigning...for t-shirts and door signs for the cruise and for my DL trip. So far, the only thing I have to show for my evening is this:

BTW - I am not the talented person that drew the stick figures...I am the less talented person that found the blanks provided for DISers' use...:rotfl:

Ok, I've posted a pic, claimed an FO...my work here is done.

I'm headed off to sleep now....:cloud9:

Still in the mid 40s here.

DanandNan,

I remember living in Maine and the huge amounts of snow we had. Now that I live in SE Connecticut, the snow is forecast, but never falls. My kids won't have school if there is just a dusting! The locals blame that on the Blizzard of 78 when kids were stranded, but I strike it up to worrying a tad too much.

Just drive slow, and don't make sudden movements and driving in snow isn't too bad.

My plane was canceled from California to Massachusetts during the blizzard of 78. My daughter Kristen and I left on the first plane out. Boy was that alot of snow. I still remember it. Diane

I forgot to say yesterday....

Happy Anniversary to Melody and EB!

Happy Anniversary to Tanya and Philip!

It's about the same. I am hoping tomorrow I start to see some changes.

We have stayed at the All Star Sports and Pop Century. They were okay, but I would really like a more upscale atmosphere, a nicer pool area and a waterfront. Some day, I want to stay at the CR or WL. Elaine says if we stay anywhere other than a value, she wants to stay at AKL with a Savannah view, but i think its just too far away and we would spend a lot of time on the buses.

Walt and I have stayed everywhere. Dolphin, Swan, Carribean Beach Resort, Contemporary, Polynesian, All Star Music, Sport and Movies, Pop Century, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Coronado Springs. We liked them all. The monorail hotels are great but pricey. The convenience of not taking the buses is a plus. The Swan and Dolphin are nice and comfy. The beds are the best. I don't feel like I am at Disney when I stay there. The Value Hotels are nice. We don't spend that much time in the hotels anyways. We get up early and get back to the room late. My grandkids love the pools at the value hotels. I like the cafeteria style restaurants. I would rather stay at value hotels and have more money to spend on the eats (special meals especially character meals), gifts etc. We can stay longer if grandkids and me stay at the value hotels. By the time we get back from the parks we are exhausted. All we want to do is take a shower and go to bed. The buses are great at the value hotels. I liked taking the boat while we stayed at Wilderness Lodge. Animal Kingdom was far but it was nice to look out at the animals in the savannah. I could go on for ever giving all the pros and cons. Diane

Hello Everyone!

Can you believe it, I've had to once again change my plans for our Cruise!

We recieved the Plane ticket vouchers from Coke yesterday. They expire Jun 30 2009 Travel MUST be taken prior to that date!

Grrrrrr!

So now I have to buy the tickets for the cruise anyway.

But then I had to decide what to do with a set of plane tickets. Well, the most logical thing was to move our WDW portion of the trip up to an acceptable time-frame for the tickets. Since Stuart is out of school for a week in February, it was logical to do the WDW trip then. So now I am scrambling to make all of my plans for that trip.

Oh Well, looking at the pictures of PO:R made me want to leave right now anyway. So now I have an excuse.

Does that mean you're not coming next October?

We're gonna try for DVC at Wilderness Lodge for a couple of next October. We didn't like PO.R (nothing specific, just the whole frecnh atmosphere) but loved Caribbean Beach. Can't wait for DVC at Contemporary. We'll have to try that one.

Good morning Heather. According to the tv we got hit the worst:rolleyes:

More is forecast for today too:sad2:

Its bright now but not enough to melt the awful stuff. I have to go out today too. Loads of chores to do:rolleyes: I'll wait til later and hopefully some of the roads will be better.
