We have USAA insurance but it never occurred to me to check them out. I am going to be doing that for our next cruise. What all does it cover?[/QUOTE]

I got the basic, med vac, if we get in an accident on the way down and mis the ship or if we get sick and can't make it. You can get all types of coverage. You should check it out for next time.

Happy Thanksgiving to the rest of the Canadian Cruisers!

Man we are getting close to the cruise now - only one more Sunday, Monday etc.

Following an interesting thread over on Cruise Critic - under Disney - "Favorite Moment on The Disney Cruise Line" - really gets you excited about going. Mainly focusing on things that make DCL special. Pop over and have a read - you'll be glad you did.

Well, Strawberry Brenda, I have to concur with this one. I don't want the Braves to win. It's almost over! Just need a double play.

Well, there you go, Strawberry Brenda. The Giants WIN!! The Giants WIN!!!
OH YES Sunshine Brenda they did!!!!! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!! I may have to rethink my entire cruise wardrobe! :rotfl: but i only have 4 Giants shirts

I know it is the norm not to wear shorts into dinner. I have one evening where I packed DH linen shorts and a linen shirt. He thinks he shouldn't wear that. I swear I saw people in shorts in the dining room. They are dressy shorts. What do you think?
Also on pirate night we are planning to do pirate t-shirts and shorts-don't you think that is fine as pirate night attire is kind of an exception??

This question usually stirs up quite a debate on the main cruise thread. This is what DCL has published as its dress code.

On 7-night cruises:

First night: cruise casual—no shorts, swimwear or tank tops
Three additional "cruise casual" nights—no shorts, swimwear or tank tops
One pirate or tropical night (deck party)
One formal and one semi-formal night—formal wear for men: tuxedo or suit; for women: gown or dress; semi-formal wear for men: suit/jacket; for women: dress or pantsuit.

Dress for dinner at Palo on all cruises:

Men: dress shirt or jacket, no shorts
Women: dress or pantsuit

I said no to shorts for my DH EXCEPT on Pirate Night. Now people will do whatever they want, of course, and that is why you have seen shorts in the dining room. Some think it is their vacation and will wear what they deem appropriate. So that's the long answer!

The short answer is it's up to you and your DH!

My flight is ONE WEEK from tonite!!!!! WOOOOOOHOOOOOOO :cool1::banana::woohoo::cheer2:

I know there is storage space under the beds, but does anyone know the height? We're trying to figure out how wide of a suitcase we can bring.

Thanks!:thumbsup2

SO EXCITED!!:banana::banana::banana:

We are hoping to book our next cruise when we are on this one, but I don't see any 2012 itineraries yet. :confused3

Any word on when they may be out? We are thinking we want to give the Dream or Europe a try next time! :woohoo::banana::woohoo:

Thanks:thumbsup2

I can't find anything through a search or in the main boards FAQ's. I can share our experience. We've been able to store ~26" rolling suitcases under the bed. initally they won't fit...however...if you lift up the bed frame a little you can get enough clearance to slide the suitcase under the bed. This is a great place to store your luggage.
