Awesome!!! Thanks for all the work you have been doing to keep this organized. I've been in your situation/role and have a GREAT appreciation for what it takes to keep it organized, etc. Thanks again!!!

Hi, Anjelica. The trick is to just stay current. The one time that I had a lag period, over the holidays, it took a while to get back on track. So, I am staying current and trying to post new info as I find it out.

Well, Dave, that depends on how active you plan on being. My loose plans right now are to get to boat and enjoy the sail-away party. Then kick back for a couple of days enjoying the ship and the activities. It's just really too bad that we can't be in two places at the same time.

I plan to book our Palo brunch, tea and dinner online, as with the excursions and spa treatments. Right now, the only excursioin that is a definite, is my huband SCUBA diving in St. Thomas. So, I will be at loose end until I decide what I want to do that day. Maybe I will hang with you all:goodvibes.

I have never been on a 7-day cruise before nor have I been to the Caribbean, so I am having fun do just a little research.

Some one posted really nice navigators for the Eastern Caribbean. I will see if I can post the link here so that folks can get an idea as to what some of the activities will be.

We are right now trying to decide what to do for the FE exchange. That was a lot of fun the last couple of times that I have participated. It's really fun trying to deliver the gifts without getting caught.

Something else we may want to think about as a group and that is having a private Palo dinner. I believe that the private room holds somewhere in the neighborhood of 14-18 folks. Just something to think about.

I don't know what else to tell you. But, I am always willing to answer any questions if I can. So bring them on

What's involved with the "sail-away party" Is this something I need to plan for??

Also count us in for the private Palo dinner. Sounds like fun.

As for the FE exchange, we are unsure if we will be involved or not. First we don't much about it and second we don't have kids with us on this cruise. From what have read it sounds more like a kids oriented activity. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks...

Hi fellow cruisers!

I haven't been here for awhile but things are getting busier. Is anyone heading to the Food and Wine Festival or MNSSHP before or after our cruise? We are going to the F&W before and looking forward to it!:thumbsup2

This is my third Eastern cruise so if anyone has questions I can answer, fire away!

I think I need to dig out my CD DCL sends out post-cruise and put it on my iPod. Maybe that will motivate me on the treadmill!:rotfl:

If anyone is looking for extra onboard credit and wants to transfer their ressie to a great TA, let me know. She has booked our last couple of cruises and has arranged some nice perks if we have a group going with her. I know she has been able to arrange a cocktail party and a group Palo brunch. Might be worth considering!

We'd be interested in a private Palo dinner as well!

Did anyone else have problems opening the navigators link or is it me?:confused3 I'd like to take a look but can't open it!

Hi, Dave. The sail-away party is just that. A Party up of deck 9 or 10. You don't have to plan for it. Just show up. It usually starts right after the Lifeboat drill. Just go and have fun.

As for the FE exchange, my DH and I did it on our first anniversity and are planning on doing it again. We don't have children. We just like giving little gifts for folks. I when we did it last (not with my DH that trip) we made sure to break it out. Who had children, who didn't and bought gifts that were appropriate.

We have to see if we can book the room for Palo. I think that you have to request it by getting on a list or something. I can't remember. It is something that I will have to work on.

Yes! Please PM me her info. I have contacted several "official Disney authorized TA" and they will only book packages. Airfare $ changes daily, I have been searching for our Oct flights. I was wondering about changing our ressie from DCL to a reputable TA that offers on board credits but wasn't really sure of the pros and cons.
Thank you!
Sandy

Happy Friday All!! Sorry to be MIA for so long. Just caught up with all the pages I missed.

Erica - Nice to see Princess Isabelle made her world debut! Congratulations!! I hope she has already begun to sleep thru the night. :dance3: (that is the 3 of you doing the happy dance because you all finally got some rest! HATED those days)

Kevin - I hope all is going well with Miss Hannah. We need a where is this photo!

Brenda - Anyway I can help, please let me know.

Dave - Since you and I are first time cruisers, I called DCL and asked if there would be any available reservations left 2 months prior to sail, like for Palo. She said they have a certain number available for those able to book 90 days prior to sailing, 75 days and, for us, 60 days prior. That was encouraging.

I have been busy working on digital autograph/scrap books for our daughters from this past December trip to WDW. They filled up their autograph books plus I brought autograph cards for our character meals. I decided to scan all the autographs and make the girls each a book from Shutterfly which includes the photopass pics. It has taken me forever but I have had alot of fun working on it!

Did we find out what is happening to the Magic while in dry dock? A lil' nip/tuck? ;)

We are staying at Bay Lake Towers the night before the cruise. Haven't decided if we are going to do MNSSHP before or after the cruise. After would put us right at Halloween which I am guessing would be crazy packed but then they do have a limited number of tix. Don't know what day to buy tix for. I read last years MNSSHP tips thread. The opinions on crowd control for Oct 31 differed between each person posting. THOUGHTS? SUGGESTIONS?
For now the plan is Oct 30 get back to BLT, do laundry, get our equillibrium back, and just chill out. Oct 31 chill out by the pool (like we are going to need more sun and water) or go to MK in the AM, maybe do pirate league so at 4pm we are alredy in MK for MNSSHP. I REALLY want the snow White +7 photo and the one in Cindy's carriage!! We bought annual passes with our DVC discount in December so if we feel up to going to a park we can.

Spreadsheets? ... Colored tabs? ... popcorn::

Just a quick stop to say Hello! Got to go work on the house. It has gotten so bad I need a wheelbarrel and a shovel!! Lois

Miss Hannah is doing fantastic...still adjusting to 'indoor life' - however, you'd never know it if you saw her in her usual place - all streatched out in her doggie bed...wagging her tail when we call her name.

ok...'where is this' - in photo form on next post.

we've completed our 5th sailing - but I can assure you...I will be on-line 15-20 minutes before midnight (EST) when reservations open up to ensure the best options. I'd still suggest doing the same for all levels. If you don't get anything on line...you still can get 'something' by being at port early - doing the 'ressie scramble' after you board the ship.

I love Shutterfly...we make calendars each year for the grandparents - they always come out great. Am sure your book will be a keepsake for many years that bring warm memories.

Did we find out what is happening to the Magic while in dry dock? A lil' nip/tuck? ;)

I am wondering as well. Not sure if this satisfies maritime law (2 dry docks every 5 years) or if they have plans to upgrade and area or add something special - plz pass info if someone is 'in the know'.

We are staying at Bay Lake Towers the night before the cruise. Haven't decided if we are going to do MNSSHP before or after the cruise.

Saw some pictures of BLT...WOW...that place looks fantastic.

Has WDW released the MNSSHP schedule yet? Nan and I might need to fly in a day later than planned. We wanted to do two days 'commando-touring' the parks...but might only have time for one. Doing MNSSHP the day we fly in would help me get my 'disney-fix'.

Kevin - We need a where is this photo!

OK...yes, this is a pool...which one...what deck...location - etc. You must answer in nautical terms.

Bonus question...from where the person taking the photo is - what is the name of the restaurant/counter service...i.e., closest place to get a snack/something to eat?

Hi Sandy - I sent you a PM with my TA's info!

Hey...sorry to take us 'off topic'...but...it's still current events. Anyone doing anything special for the Super Bowl?

My team is out...so...I'm rooting for a good game and looking forward to a new batch of creative commercials.

Does anyone cook/bake/grill anything special? I'll start us off...if you like buffalo hot wings...here is a link to a recipe I've posted on a BBQ discussion boards.

This would be the goofy Pool; Midship; Deck 9 and you are standing in front of Pinocchio's Pizzeria.

Hey Rus - anyone else going on the ATV tour with you? I might be interested in doing this and possibly taking Sydney with us. I know sometimes they have double rider ATV's and allow children 7 and up to ride with parent/guardian. Do you have a tour operator in mind?
Angelica: Here is the link to the ATV tour. www.stmaartencruiseexcursions.com/ATVStMaarten.htm
It looks like Sydney can go as a rider. I think my friend Brad is going to go on the tour. I think Chel and the others are doing something else.:cool1:
