well its now early friday were heading to castaway cay for our last night. and about 5 hours ago we joined the vaction club. deal could not be turned down 89.00 a point with the new grand california villas.

Hi me and my dfi are on the 7 day western as i type. and the other day we rebooked for our second cruise on oct 23, 2010 for the seven day eastern. Were not even off our first and were planning our second cruise.

WOW!!! when you get 'bit' by the 'Mickey Bug'...you get bit HARD. A DVC membership and a returning cruise booked in the same vacation...nice. rebooking while still on the ship is one way to curb --- post cruise depression.

Hi Gang I have been away because my family has been going through alot. since our summer Vacation.
Our oldest sons wife asked him for a Divorce. She moved out when he was at work first she called me to ask if the kids could spend a few hours with me because she needed to do something. She never came back just called him at work and told him she filed for the Divorce. With this and the tail spin of other issuses with our son. He said he would not be able to go next year. But really wants to go on Vacation with his kids so we are thinking 2011 things should be all figured out, and we will have time to adjusted to our new roles. My daughter in-law is slowley seeing the kids less and less. I have a feeling she will be a Mom that just walks away. My son was totaly blindsided by this because he thought they had a happy marriage. The worst part is she had moved on months ago but just now came clean.
We have had to really step up and help with the grandkids.
I have asked my TA to check on prices for 10/22/2011. If they are fair enough we will switch otherwise we are going to sit tight and see what happens. I just wanted to share since Brenda was kind of enough to give us her SPH room. Brenda please let me know if you want it back. I will let you all know what we end up doing next week.

What a mess. It is always hard to adjust to life changes that were not expected. On the bright side she left the kids. I will keep a positive thought that it will work out for the best. I know that you will make the best possible decision for your family. Lois

As it stands, we are on 7 night B2B right now but looks like we may have to move this cruise to another date since it may be a school week for DS. I'll know more when I see the 2010 fall calendar. In the meantime, I'm going to stay lurking around on this until we figure it out. I'd hate to leave this group since this is a good group.

Just saying a quick hello and commend what a great job you are doing at keeping this thread interesting. To those of you having a tough time right now. I hope all things are better from here on out. We are leaving for a visit to the World and a 3 day Wonder cruise 4 weeks from today. We are very excited as we taking our Disney nieces ages 9 and 10 and it will be Halloween while we are on the ship.

Then next year this cruise will the second half of our back to back 7 night cruises. Even better was securing the same cabin for both. I will try to post A little more often but for sure will be lurking about this thread throughout the coming months

Not much new going on here, just feverishly working on our baby-to-be's nursery and assorted other household projects.

Wow, Brenda, I can't believe that you and your family is going through this. I feel so sorry for your son and his children. I am sure that you are giving him all of the support that he and his children need right now. I hope that everything works out and you all are still able to cruise with us. I was really looking forward to meeting you.

I will check with my DH about the room. But, I think that we will probably keep the one we have for now. But, let me know if you do decide to change.

Found us on page 3 this well not do. Just wanted to drop by to say Hello. We paid off the December WDW trip. It is ust about 2 months before we return. I am so excited. Once I have my spending money set aside then I begin to focus on paying off the cruises for next fall. Which is less than 13 months away. Before we know it we will be meeting at the Terminal on the coast.

We just got back from our WDW and Disney Wonder Cruise on 10/1/09!! It was a second cruise and was 4 nights from 9/27/09 to 10/1/09. OUr first was a 3 night in 2008 which was waaaay too short! DW and I loved the day at sea on our recent cruise, something we lacked on the first. We decided that an Eastern Caribbean cruise whihc has three days at sea would be perfect for us! So We booked this cruise while onboard the Wonder. We'll be joining you all and we can't wait!!! It'll be me (John), DW (Cheryl) and DD 12yoa.

OK we have a question. The FE thing sounds fun but very expensive. If we've got over 200 DISers already checking in here in the thread, does that mean we'd have to have more than 200 gifts to pass out and place into FE's? This sounds pretty expensive.

Or are we assigned only a segment of the list?

Each family decides if they want to take part in the FE. It can be expensive but you decide how much you want to spend on each gift. There is no rush to decide if you want to take part, However, I will tell you that the kids get a kick out of it and really enjoy getting each gift no matter how small or useless it maybe. In the two I took part in we gave a gift to each family that also took part. I hope this helps. Lois
