busy-busy weekend...

Let's start today out with a new picture...

Question I have is…where is this located…and…who is the artist?

I can't play at work because I can't see the pictures :sad1:. I will have to check it out when I get home.

I believe this is found in the atrium. I do not remember the artist. I believe this one can be found on the Wonder. Although the they are much the same the colors are different. Lois

Artist:
Dale Chihuly

You can see him making one of these on the DCL show often seen on the Travel Channel.

Oh, yes: just scored $49/pp on SWA for bwi-mco this fall. Looks like another trip to the Mouse.

Lois gets the location...AND get extra points for knowing which ship - I'm impressed. Thank you for posting a photo of both pieces from both ships so we could see the difference.

need to offer strong credit to PaDisneyCouple for informing us of the artist...very nice.

As nice as photos of these pieces are...seeing them is quite different - they are awesome. It's hard to believe they are suspended from a ceiling on a ship.

I'm going to check my photos...will need to come up with more challenging ones.

Here is yet another picure to identify. I can't seem to find any that I feel will be difficult but I will keep looking. I am enjoying this so please post your pictures. Lois

Well I just booked this cruise yesterday and felt a little silly booking so far in advance (even though I did cash in Vacation points) but I don't feel so silly now that I see there is already 400+ posts on a thread :)

This will be my DH (Trey) and mine (Tanya) 4th Disney Cruise (17th overall cruise). The last time we sailed with Disney was in 2002. This will be our DD (Noel)1st Disney cruise (3rd cruise overall). She will actually be celebrating her 6th birthday while onboard (27th).

Quick question from something I see in other posts...what is an FE?

Glad to be on board, can't wait to find out what everyone will be planning in the ports.

Hi, Tanya. Welcome aboard. I will add you all to the main cruise thread page.

A FE is a Fish Extender, so named because it is hung on the fish outside of your stateroom. If you go to the Cruise forum, you will find several threads related to FEs.

They are use by cruisers to leave little gifts for fellow cruisers. If you want o join the FE exchange let me know, although, it's a bit early to start organizing that just yet.

Hope that helps.

Hi Lois...nice picture...I wanted to chime in...but thought I'd allow someone else to answer (insert cricket sounds here). Not sure if any are stumpped or having a busy week...so...hope you won't mind if I toss in a 'hint'.

If you were standing where Lois was to take her picture...and you turned ~45 degrees to your left...below is the site you'd see. Does anyone know where we are???

This is so cool. Can't we leave already? Anyway, that is the Disney terminal and the "gangway" to the ship. Right before you get to the place where they are taking your picture before boarding the ship.

You would CORRECT on both accounts! Someone will need to post yet another picture. I may look at my WDW to see if I have a good one. That is if I can remember where I took it.

In order to post a picture you will need to download your photo to a site like Photobucket. Once you have the picture at that site you will see a number of codes. You will use the code to put into your post. You can not see the picture until you either review your post or submit it.

I hope this helps. I am waiting for your 801 post! Lois

yep - yep - yep...I'm using Photobucket. It's a little challenging at first but after you post a few...it's old hat. I went to the Technical Support Forum on these boards and reviewed a few 'stickeys/threads'...those really helpped me out. Good luck.

Hey...it's FRIDAY!!! WOO HOO!!!!

I'll toss a log on the fire...what is the name of these 'items'...and...where are they located? Hope all have a great day....and a wonderful weekend. K
