hi Reedi,
saw you all are from Bush Louisiana, we are orginally from New Orleans! nice to see some Saints fans on the Cruise, WHO DAT!!

AWESOME! I should have guessed by your screen name. :) Are y'all from the city or the metro area? We are originally from the Westbank, but moved to the North Shore after my husband got out of the service. Where are you at now?

We just knew the Saints were FINALLY going all the way last year. We made our usual Feb trek to the World, but I planned MK for Monday because I just knew I'd have a date with Drew.:banana: The only bummer was that we asked several times about whether AKL would be showing the game and we were always told yes, although the location kept changing. Long story short, we got booted out of the library just after the national anthem and had to watch the game alone in our room. We tried REALLY hard to keep the noise down so that we wouldn't get kicked out.:cheer2::cheer2:

We'll be on the look out for you, or should I say ear, 'cause y'all prolly talk kinda funny, huh? :rotfl:

WHO DAT, BABY!!!

Coronado Springs and MNSSHP Friday night for us! :thumbsup2

hi all!

anyone know how cold it will be in the evenings on the boat?

also I checked with disney cruise lines and there will be trick or treating on the boat

For the trick or treating, are we to brings candy, or does Disney provide? Are the kids to dress up in Halloween costumes? Do you know if we should bring a trick or treat bag? I know, I have alot of questions about this, but I did not even thinnk about it. Thanks for sharing this information

We have done it for the last 3 years. They have sort of a parade route to various candy stations throughout the ship. They provide the bags. if you have been to MNSSHP, they are the same bags. They can pretty much fill the bags.

This post has a pic of the bags and Trick or Treat map:

Are you traveling Southwest Airlines on October 20th? Our plane stops in Phoenix in the morning for a 10:20 am connection. Our connecting flight out of Phoenix is #0997 Southwest.

We are staying at Pop on Friday night!!

Also I found out through our TA that we now have main dining after we were wait listed. Is this a good thing? I have read both pros and cons for main and late dining.

Hi Dave...looking forward in seeing some MORE of you pictures of Pop. It's a cool resort...I love all the 'Disney touches'.

Late or main dining is really up to you. There are pros and cons to each. We've done both and like the early a little better.

We eat a little later than normal at home...however, the second seating is a little too late --- for us. I'd rather not go to bed on a 'very full' belly. Your mileage may vary.

Either option...you'll still have a GREAT time!!!

Yep - yep - yep!!! We are on the same flight to MICKEY-LAND!!! Look forward in meeting you and yours. I'll make you a deal...you save some isle seats and I'll smuggle in breakfast or adult-beverages...maybe both? DING - YOUR NOW FREE TO....ORDER UP!!!

I am soooooo ready to get on that plane and get this vacation going.

Am trying to keep myself busy to keep from going crazy. So far; we have a bathroom to paint, roof to resurface and a few rooms to tile. Before you get impressed and think 'I'm handy'...Kevin is scheduled to paint...and...that's it. My bride, Nancy, strongly suggests that power tools and sharp objects be operated by professionals. Smart lady.

It's been soooo long 'in wait' for this trip...for us, almost 2 years. How are the rest of you planning to get through the last few weeks. I sure can use some help here - thoughts?

Actually, Angela, we are arriving Wednesday, Oct 20th and staying until Oct 23rd and staying at Caribbean all three nights. We are doing MK Thursday and Epcot on Friday. It seems quite a few folks are doing Epcot on Friday. Maybe we should try to meet up there for those who will be there.

We might do MNSSHP on Thursday.

Hi, Dave.

We actually tired late dining on our last cruise and DH and I both decided that we prefer the early seating better. We usually eat about 5:30-6:00pm at home. I like doing the show after dinner. I don't know. For some reason, we felt that the dinner dragged on and on for the second seating. By the time we left the dining room, it was almost 10:00. That is DH's bedtime. Just did not enjoy it at all. Never had any problems with the early seating.

My bedtime at home is usually 10 - 10:30 but when I'm on that ship, I live every minute I can! With the later seating, I found that because I did not want to go to bed on a full stomach, I would stay up and enjoy the night life the ship offers. (Which is not like me at home! Hahaha). On the contrary, early dinner followed by sitting in a cozy chair in the dark....it was lights out for me! But what's great about DCL is they have a plan that makes everyone happy!:thumbsup2

We arrive Wednesday and are staying at the BCV - attending the Food and Wine Festival on Thursday and enjoying the resort Friday before heading to the port that evening. Cannot wait!!!

You have a deal! I will save the seats and buy munchies for all of us:thumbsup2 We will be in the Phoenix airport for what I believe is a 2 hour layover. Our first cruise on the Disney Magic was on October 18, 2008. It has been two LONG years for us. It truly was and still is the best vacation we have ever taken. My 19 year old son keeps asking how much longer until the cruise.....He has been asking the same question for two years now:rotfl2:

When my husband "fixes" something in the house, he looks for the glue ......So that is the extent to which my wonderful husband Alan does home improvements:rotfl: My son RJ and I just laugh and hide all the glue in the house and call the handyman.

Can't wait to meet you and your bride, Nancy.

Hi, Angela. I have added the info to my FE list.

Yes, I think that's a good idea. So, here goes:

HEY, EVERYONE, WOULD YOU MIND TELLING US WHERE YOU ARE STAYING FRIDAY NIGHT? THAT WAY FOLKS WHO ARE STAYING IN SIMILIAR/SAME AREA/HOTEL CAN HAVE MEET & GREET BEFORE THE CRUISE.

Now, for a volunteer to maintain that list. Angela, would you mind collecting that info?

Oh, and we will be staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort. Our plans are to go to Epcot Friday. We have ADRs at Coral Reef and Teppan Edo. Haven't quite decided which to cancel yet.

We fly into Orlando on Friday and are staying at the Hyatt in the airport. We booked everything through Disney, the flight , shuttle, etc. Maybe not a smart move but I guess you learn from your mistakes. Anyone else staying at the Hyatt?
Bob

We were originally scheduled to stay at the Hyatt for 2 nights. But, then we decided to go to WDW for a couple of days and so decided to stay at WDW instead.

It may not be the least costly but it would be what I would do if we were flying down. This way Disney is responsible for all parts and if anything goes wrong they will fix it. You should not regret it and may find that you will opt to do it again.

Janet and I are staying at the Country Inn and Suites at the port area for two nights before our cruise. Janet does not know it but I plan a short trip to Downtown Disney to do some shopping on the Thursday before. Then to the coast for dinner and to watch the Wonder pull out. Friday is a day to relax at the pool or beach and then Saturday!!!! I can't wait.

Originally i had planned to stay at the Hyatt friday nt since my sister her daughter and my daughter were all supposed to be flying in friday...but sis got flts on thurs and there's enough room at the treehouses...so we're all staying at saratoga till sat a.m. - only my daughter arrives late fri but magical exp will bring her to Saratoga where she can go right to sleep

My typical bedtime is 8 pm :rotfl: (well i do get up at 3:30ish) BUT like you i want to spend as many hours as possible AWAKE so we prefer the late dining and that does help to keep us up later!!!! and midnight onboard the ship is only 9 pm for me anyway:thumbsup2
