Haven't stayed at the Hyatt, but it's right in the airport. You have access to the restaurants and shops at the airport. There are a couple of Disney stores, Universal, Seaworld, Nasa, Crocs, can't think of the others right now.[/QUOTE

I have never been in an airport so I have no clue what to expect. I can't believe that they have shopping in an airport let alone a hotel. We live in a little town that has a very small airport and the city that we are flying out of is even smaller. I can't wait till we leave. Thanks so much for the info :)

Well, this is going to be quite the adventure for you then. The area where the shops are is a bit like a mall. There is a fast food court - with several options and a few sit down restaurants. The Hyatt is sort of built in a square - I think - have only seen it from the airport perspective. The centre of the square is open to the airport concourse below. There is apparently a nice pool on the roof - if you get there early enough and want to go for a swim/hot tub. The Hyatt also has it's own restaurant I think.

That's pretty much right. I really enjoyed staying at the Hyatt. The beds are super comfy.

Hi there! I had asked a while back ago about participating but I guess it got overlooked! If it is still possible we would love to join in on the fun! It is going to be me, my DH, DS-6, and DS-2 and we are GTY! Let me know if we can still get in!!

~Natalie : )

We also PM'd about being on the FE list a while ago please add us
Mary Jo & Phil room 8578 2 adults
Katherine & Mark room 8576 2 adults

We are staying at the Radisson at the port on Friday night. Find us at the pool

This is where we will be as well. We land at the Orlando Airport on Oct. 20th about 5:30 pm and then we are going straight to the Raddisson at the Port. We plan on relaxing and swimming all day Thursday and on Friday going to the Kennedy Space Center. I hope to get my picture with an astronaut:hippie:

I am so glad to know that we are not the only ones. Have you stayed at the Hyatt before? Is it nice? Is there some shopping around.

Anyone know about this hotel? Is there anything to do if we get there at a decent time?

Crystal:goodvibes

Carla and I were at the Hyatt on our last Magic cruise. Great location, nice amenities, etc. There are shops around - Disney, Universal, and others. A food court is nearby. There is a nice outdoor pool. If you're taking DCL transportation, at check in you will be given info about your luggage, where to meet, etc.

Carla and I arrive in Orlando at approximately 9pm.

It'll be a culture shock when you arrive at MCO, Crystal!!!! You will be taking a shuttle/tram from one part of the airport to the other. LOL

Also at the MCO Hyatt, only registered guests are allowed on the floors - you have to use your room card in the elevator to access the floor your room is on. A very nice safety feature, especially for us ladies traveling alone.

Thank you all for the comments about main dining. I think this will fit us a lot better then the late dining. We to plan on taking in as much as we can on the ship. No early nights for us!!! :rotfl:

So I am going to an 80's party tonight and when I went to Kohls to see what I could put together...I was shocked:eek: to see that all the 80's styles are back in the juniors section. I never in a million years would have thought that those styles would come back...I got spandex pants with working zippers on the sides and a studded black dress, no to mention all the accessories...I had just found out a few months ago from my neice that leg warmers were back...Really leg warmers...What are the children thinking??

I will say that the 80's style was really fun but definately a distater!

HEY, EVERYONE, WOULD YOU MIND TELLING US WHERE YOU ARE STAYING FRIDAY NIGHT? THAT WAY FOLKS WHO ARE STAYING IN SIMILIAR/SAME AREA/HOTEL CAN HAVE MEET & GREET BEFORE THE CRUISE.

We will be jumping around... arrive on Wed (late 11:30 pm) staying at Hyatt
Thurs- Four points cocoa beach
Friday-Radisson at the port.
Sat-oh you know where we'll be on Sat:goodvibes

I...oh...so hope...the 70's never come back in style. That is a 'fashion era' that I'm still trying to forget. Just when I think I've gotten this out of my head - one of my DD's shows me pictures....and...they are of....me:scared1::scared1::scared1:

Hope all have great plans. K

Come on Kevin show us one of those "70's" pics.... I'm sure we would all love to see them.

Hi DVC member here
We will be staying at Kidani Village on Friday the 22nd. and will be enjoying the FW at Epcot that day. Just what we need before the cruise, more food.

O Come on... I loved the 70's fashion. I just wish I had the body to wear them. But I never stopped growing. I just went from growing taller to growing wider. So today I wear grandma clothes, they may not be in fashion but they sure are comfortable.

For those who plan to be at the Port on Friday before this cruise, does anyone want to try to have a quick meet. Maybe pick a time and place to eat that night.

I am game and willing to try to get something arranged if there are others who are interested. PM me if you are interested K?
