10/23/11 - Disney Dream

I've been so busy since we got back home on Sunday, that this is the first time I had a chance to post.

I wanted to thank everyone for the FE gifts. There where so many that were very creative. It was awesome!! We loved them all.

Just got back last night, thank you to everyone for the fish extender goods! Loved coming back to new gifts every night!! Thank you all!

Back home and back to work..the cruise and our days in the parks was GREAT...thanks everyone for our first ever fe gift exchange..it was so much fun

When I went to go rebook, their systems were down. They had me will out a card and said someone from onshore would contact me in a few days and they would still honor the onboard offer. I was really nervous but on Monday I was contacted and was able to rebook!!! I was so happy. I was able to pull up the internet while I was on the phone and look at room reports, prices, etc.... I wish it could always be done like this! ha! ha!

Hi there! Well, our first cruise was fantastic. The FE was a highlight of our trip. I'm so glad we participated in that. The boys LOVED checking and delivering their Mickey mail! I have to say, I just now have stopped being dizzy! I felt that ship moving up until Nov. 1. So, if we do this again, we will do Disney BEFORE our cruise, not after! I'm going to do my first ever trip report, and we did rebook onboard! It was so very nice to meet you all. Here are the only 2 Shutters pictures I purchased ... and a short video my husband put together of our cruise highlights! For us, The Golden Mickeys was a highlight (since the boys were interviewed and sang), the Stingray excursion on Castaway Cay was our favorite, and golfing with Max on the Nassau Day! Tam

You guys look great.:thumbsup2Now that's where I got caught up on...before I knew it, almost $200 worth of pictures were purchased.:scared1:What will I ever do on a 7 night cruise???:lmao:

Thanks! I had planned before the cruise to buy the Shutters CD. We did every photo opportunity we could - knowing I planned to buy the CD - and we still only managed to get 77 photos taken by them. There were maybe 6 that I really liked. There were maybe another 6 where someone had their eyes closed. So, in the end, I could not bring myself to spend that much on the CD. I couldn't spend $120 on the 6 I liked! So, I picked my 2 favorites. Especially after they had taken practically the same photos with our camera at each photo opportunity. I myself took nearly 1600 pictures!! The family pictures on the white background were great, but the kids had those big kid's club bracelets on in them. I got the pirate one because it was better than any I took. And, we didn't get one with my camera when we boarded. It was a good time! Tons of photos to go through! Tam

Thank you to everyone for the FE gifts! We loved them! We unfortunately did get something stolen. We went out one morning and saw a Duffy or teddy bear item in the last pocket. We left it there so that my 3 year old could pull it out. And of couse it was gone less than an hour later. So bummed! So lesson learned, we pulled everything from then on as soon as we saw it.

We loved the new ship a lot. I agree, that Cabanas is a huge improvement to Beach Blanket/Topsiders. I loved that there were stations and not one long line.

Ewerstruly, I saw your boys sing at the Golden Mickeys, and they were great! I loved the youngest one singing the Selena Gomez song. Now everytime I hear it, I think of him singing it and how adorable it was!

It was so nice to meet everyone at the meet!

We rebooked onboard as well. We are going on a Mexican Riviera cruise in March, 2012. Very excited that we will be back on a Disney cruise in a few months!

The 4 nights are just too short. By the time you get used to everything, it's time to leave the ship. But we had such a wonderful time.

I have enjoyed getting to know all of you this past year on this thread :).

I saw them too! They MADE the GM for me (my favorite show was Believe!)

I've done a long TR on another forum, and if I can figure out how to post it here, without typing the whole thing in, I will. I have put a couple of reviews of the food overall http://www.990square.com/2011/11/dining-on-the-dream/ and Remy http://www.990square.com/2011/11/dinner-at-remy-on-the-disney-dream/ up on my blog, as well as some pictures from pirate night http://www.990square.com/2011/11/wordless-wednesday-11-2-2011/. If a grown man dressed as a pirate scared your child by challenging them to a duel on pirate night, I'm sorry, that was my husband!

We also rebooked onboard. I loved the Dream so much...I can't wait to cruise with Disney again!
