10/23/11 - Disney Dream

Thanks, I am sure it's still going to be a blast.

Exactly!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1: And it might give me an excuse for an extra cocktail or two to take away the pain. :lmao::drinking1:rotfl:

I like the way you think!!
:goodvibes
I hope you still have a magical time! And you're right-- I'll be able to spot ya now!

since we don't have travel insurance  (might be doing this from now on), we would loose like 50% of our points for the 1st cruise & 75% on the 2nd cruise.
My DH bday is the 24th & mine is the 31st which will be our travel day home.
So sorry to hear about your foot. Last year we had a woman on our Wonder cruise who had to wear a boot on her foot due to an injury. She still had a great time. I never book with travel insurance. I had to almost use it twice. Once when I thought DD had chicken pox but it turned out to be flea bites from the neighborhood sandbox.:scared1: Then on the same trip I got sun poisoning on day 2 of our 10 day trip. Decided to tough that one out but almost had to go home:goodvibes

These group photos are so confusing, are you the couple in the Middle with the two kids, or are you the couple on both sides of the family with the two kids???

Because if you are the guys on the outside, I saw you last year on the cruise..

:goodvibes
:rotfl2:Kidding aside that's a lovely family shot.:goodvibes
Happy October birthday's to all.:bday:DD will be celebrating her 21st at the World and on the our cruise. I'm afraid my bar bill will be increasing.:lmao:

This is us from last year. I'm about 25 pounds lighter and my hairs a little shorter. Heather got her hair chopped off and Dan??? A little less hair and a tad grayer.:rotfl:(sensitive issue) We are arriving from Disney on Sunday morning so we won't make the meet at Fishlips but we'll be at the meet on the Dream.:thumbsup2We'll all be wearing our Dream shirts and just in case I put my DISname on the back of mine. Can't wait to meet everyone.:goodvibes

Well, I have had an interesting development. On Sunday, I went for my 6.5 mile walk/run as I am training for the 1/2 marathon at WDW in January. My left foot was very tight throughout & was really hurting afterwards, but then eased off until 12:30am when I awoke in intense pain. Went to ortho yesterday & I have a stress fracture in my left foot. :sad2: The ortho recommended not traveling because I cannot weight bear for at least 3 weeks & will be in a boot, crutches & some pain. :headache:
I called DVC this morning since we are cruising on points & since we don't have travel insurance  (might be doing this from now on), we would loose like 50% of our points for the 1st cruise & 75% on the 2nd cruise. I asked about just moving it forward until Nov/Dec but that is a no go either, so much as I figured, we will be sailing. I am happy & sad at the same time if that make sense. I have been so looking forward to these back to back cruises but if we could have made it work, of course I would have preferred cruising with a healthy foot & without mobility challenges. BUT, we will make the best of it & still have a wonderful cruise. We will just rent a wheelchair so that I don't have to wear myself out on crutches the whole time. Had to cancel our dolphin excursion :sad1: & I won't be able to do the Castaway Cay 5K like I was planning, but the rest of what we have planned should work.

Anyhoo, enough about that........
Here we are in May on Cali Grill observation deck for recognition purposes, although I guess now it will be even easier to recognize me since I'll be in a w/c or on crutches.
We will be at Fishlips & try to be at the meet on board as well.

I hope you still have a magical cruise and I'm glad you still get to go! :thumbsup2

Good idea on posting a picture! This one is from July 2011 when we were choosen as Family of the Day at the Contemporary! :yay: (not the bext pic but it's the only one I have of "the moment" as I was clearly in shock and not thinking straight!)

Also....a shameless plug letting everyone know I have started at PTR (link in my signature) for our upcoming WDW/DREAM Cruise/WDW Vacation! It will go from a PTR to a Live Report! Thanks, everyone! popcorn::

I guess anyone can play, but unless you are doing a b2b and this is your 1st leg you will never know if you win or not.. And unable to collect the Prize..

But does anyone want to take a swag at how many people will be doing the b2b with us..

I do think it will be a big number 300..

Oh per rules Men, women and Children count, no matter the age

Per a prize... well I do have some free soft drink coupons at the aft drink station that the winner could get???

Hi Everyone! I've been busy reading posts, trying to catch up on everything. Our schedule is hectic right now so I've been out of touch! I am just now getting together our FE gifts, figuring out Pirate Night, etc... Yikes! I am feeling a bit stressed but it will make the time on the ship even better - I need the break!

So let me get this straight:
Saturday, 10/22 meet at FishLips around 4:00pm for drinks (yeah!!!) and watching the Magic cruise by? We are going to try to make that - sounds like fun.

Sunday, 3pm to see someone's cabin? Sorry, I'm in a hurry and can't remember who or where. But if there are Mickey Bars, we'll be there! :yay:

and 3:30 at the D Lounge to meet more fellow DIS'ers, right?

We are going to try for all of them. We'll see how organized I am by then. Right now I am totally unorganized!

I am hoping to convince DH to book another cruise while onboard. I was hoping for Alaska but he does not want to do it. It's too expensive to do it if he is not excited. So now I am thinking the Fantasy in a year or so???? Another thing I need to research!

We are so excited and ready (sort of) to get onboard the Dream! :yay::yay::yay:

As soon as I get time, I will try posting a picture of the 5 of us.

We won't arrive in time to join the meet at Fishlips, but we look forward to meeting everyone at the next meet.

I couldn't find any recent photos of all 6 of us in the same shot, so here are 2 separate pics from our February trip. See you soon!:thumbsup2

(BTW- I've never uploaded images here before, so I'm crossing my fingers here)

The photos aren't showing up in my preview so I must be doing something wrong?

We won't arrive in time to join the meet at Fishlips, but we look forward to meeting everyone at the next meet.

I think I've figured it out...and I scanned in some photos that include all of us. :upsidedow I'm getting smarter at this! :upsidedow
