10/17/2010 Wonder Cruise

Finally got that banner changed---been so long I forgot which one to use!

My kids, my mother and I have two cat. 11 rooms booked. It is my 3rd cruise, my kids' 2nd and my mom's 1st. We are SO excited!! I am on the boards each day making plans!

My fiance and I will be on our honeymoon during this cruise. It is our first cruising experience and we are so excited!!!! We also plan on doing 3 days at WDW after the cruise.

Welcome KatRob, DisneyMomfromGA and WhitneyDanielle. With you guys, that makes 11 groups of DIS people on the cruise.

Can we join in?? :goodvibes

On this cruise it will be myself and two of my DDs (11 and 12). We are doing a little girls trip and leaving the rest of the crew at home!! We are from northern Minnesota and always have part of this week in Oct off from school.

This will be Disney cruise number 13 for me (but only number 3 on the Wonder), and number 10 and 6 for my girls....but they have never sailed on the Wonder and are really looking forward to it!

We're looking forward to planning with all of you and making some new friends!!

Hello, it doesn't look like may from the Dis are taking this cruise.

Just booked a Cat 12 guarantee for this sailing for myself and my son. Hoping for an upgrade. It will be my first time on DCL, and I can't wait!

Since it's my first time I'm dying to do everything. Has anyone checked a child into the kids programs and gone to Palo? I'm considering doing it, but I'm not sure it will be so much fun all alone.

I'd also love to hear if anyone has excusions planned for Nassau. I'm inclined to stay on the ship. I haven't been there in a long time, but I'm nervous about venturing out just myself and a preschooler. Has anyone done an excursion there with a small child that you can recommend?

We do not have kids, so I can't help much here. Also we have not been to Nassau, and not sure we will be leaving the ship there. I can say that Palo is very over hyped when it comes to dinner, just like the show in Animators. The brunch is great, but it is only offered on sea days so you may not be able to get in since this is your first cruise.

Thank you for answering what you could aan1701!

No Problem. I did forget, people in cat 12 are the ones who get upgraded but you are a party of 2 so I don't know know how that works to be honest. Also, don't try to do everything. It is only a four night cruise, don't run around like a mad person and go nuts trying to everything and then some. Just have fun and enjoy.

Welcome aboard, aan1701, Lahmanfam05 and FigmentGal96. I may have lost count but I think that brings us to 15 cabins of DISers.

FigmentGal96, I stay on the ship in Nassau but depending on the age of your son, there is a pirate museum that some people have gone to. As far as Palo's, we have not had any problem having the kids go to the club while the adults did the brunch.

Tiggerish, I would be delighted if you could try to add me to your brunch reservation. I am not traveling with any other adults. Thank you for the lovely offer!

FigmentGal96 - Glad to have you. It should be fun.

I will be calling at 12:01 AM on July 20 and if not successful, I will try again on August 4 and if not successful, then will try again as soon as we board on the 17th of October. I am determined to get a Palo brunch spot.:cool2:

I will post or send you a message when I am successful!

Hello, everyone! I was just wondering if our group was considering doing a FE?? I was thinking that if we were I would like to get started on it this summer. What does everyone think??

I'd like to participate!

We don't do the FE thing, but if anyone here is a night owl I would love a drinking buddy or two.
