10/15/2011 - Taking the West by Magic!

I know most all of you have older kids than mine. So, there'd be no reason for you to be on Disney Junior. But...there's an adorable show called "Jake and the Neverland Pirates" and the music is awesome pirate music! The cd is being released next week (finally! Long awaited in this household). I wanted to tell you all in case anyone is looking for some good, funny pirate music for the cruise on pirate day ;)

We love Jake in our house too! Are you packing a princess dress for Natalie? I got Sienna a special Pirate Tinkerbell outfit for Pirate night.

I want to get Natalie a tinkerbelle or princess dress from the Disney Store. They seem to be the only ones that have her size! I had a cute Minnie Mouse dress made for her for the dress up dinner.

I was wondering where you were ... I almost sent out a BOLO (be on the lookout) for you !!! We havent seen you in a month. We could have been your shoulder:grouphug: and your cheer team :cheer2:

There will be several uf us that are going to the ruins through disney in cozumel. Just look for our green bands :rotfl: - those are the ruins your talking about YES :confused3

I thought drama and politics were just on tv. But oh well. Anyways, if you're talking about the ruins where you have totake a ferry boat and a bus to get to the ruins, then that's it. I think its about 99 per adult.

We'll do 4 on the pom poms. I don't have a preference on the color. So excited!

We should all head up to the 10th deck for sail away party. My favorite part of the cruise... the countdown then the "when you wish upon a star" and the cast members with the mickey hand waving goodbye!

That's atually one of my goals for this cruise, I've always been on deck 9.

ohhhhh which ones to go with? I havent ordered yet but will order them on monday. I dont know if we want to go with red and black (Mickey's color's) or all white. They don't have lime green :sad2: (dont they know we need LIME GREEN :lmao:) I'll go with majority so please post as to which color. THANKS!!!!!

Don't know if you got my last post, but we will take 4 pom poms...doesn't really matter which color...my family will be waving them around like complete fools anyway...we are so excited! :rotfl2:

Is deck 10 "THE" place to go??

I would vote for the Mickey colors. We are in 2600 and 2602 but would like to get upgraded to adjoining since these are not. Do any of you with 10+ boys have experience on whether any ever dress up. My boy is almost 13 and I am pretty sure he will join in for pirate night.

Does anyone (older boys) dress up for Halloween or princess/prince night? Since it's a surprise I have to decide what to pack for them.

We are quite outgoing and will generally jump into anything without much prompting. I am trying to talk my DH into the Mayan ruin / Mexican cultural trip but he is still sort of shell shocked about the short notice of the trip and the fact he hasn't been on one.

Thanks so much for welcoming us latecomers.

We are interested in joining the brunch if that is still available. Should post separately about that?

Do you mean connecting? Because those are adjoining, they're next to each other. 2602 is connecting with 2604, one thing you can do, if you're brave enough, is to get with the folks in 2604 ASAP after you board, and see if they are willing to trade you, so that you'd be in 2604 and 2602, and they'd be in 2600, that way they wouldn't have a connecting cabin, and you would, Disney is known to do that.

Mine's 8, when we did our Halloween cruise he wore a costume, but we've never dressed up for Pirate night.

I made my kiddos dress up for formal night. Otherwise, it was cruise casual, or for our Med cruise it was whatever we wore to our excursion because we got back about 10 minutes after dinner started!

Hans will have to speak to the brunch, don't want to step on his toes, but welcome to the group! I'm sorta jealous that you guys can take advantage of these last minute deals on cruises! Are you in Florida? (Can't see it right now on the message editor.)

Either the 9th or 10th deck. On the 9th deck they cover the family pool and everyone dances around with mickey and friends. However I think from the 9th deck there are plexiglass windows... Maybe someone can confirm this? We like to be on the 10th deck b/c you can watch down on mickey and get great pics b/c there is not plexiglass. If you have little ones I do recommend staying on the 9th-this way they can dance and enjoy the party.

Yes, deck 9 has the plexiglass surrounding it. You can see out, but it's much more crowded with all of the people at the party. Deck 10 is a little more open.

We were unable to book with Hans for the brunch because it is full but from what I have been reading as long as we attempt to book when we get on board, we still have good odds to book the brunch, just not with our friends from this thread:(

I just got notification that our wristbands are in production! These guys are really good about notifications!

(24hourwristbands is the place I went to in case anyone ever needs such a thing again...)

Mildly curious. Just looked at the website. What kind did you get? Silicone?
