Now Scott's thinking that we might actually do MNSSHP on the Thursday night. If so, then maybe those of us who are going can meet up!

Has anyone stayed at one of the Downtown Disney hotels before? We're staying at the Holday Inn DD for the first two nights we are in Florida (using rewards points) but we are looking for a place to stay on Saturday night when we get back from the cruise. We won't be using points, so I thought we might try somewhere else. Since we'll be hanging out at Downtown that day/night, I figured it would just be easier to stay there than on-site. Recommendations??

We stayed at the buena vista palace at DTD about 4 years ago it is a brilliant location for DTD you come out through the pool area and cross the road into the Disney bus drop off area, the rooms were lovely spotless clean ( we were there just after the refurb) the pool was also very good if I had to stay at DTD area again then this would be my choice.

I'll check this out...the only place we have actually ever stayed at Disney was Fort Wilderness (we have an RV) so the hotel scene is new to us Thanks for the information

My lot would love to hire an RV we went round Fort Wilderness last year to see all the decorations that people had put up it was great.

Next holiday, rent an RV and drive out here to Colorado! There's tons to see around here!

For those of you looking to get MNSSHP tickets.... there are DVC discounts and i know CM discounts on select nights(though u would need to know a CM to get that). Not sure if there are annual passholder discounts as mine expired in Feb and i didn't renew it.

I have a feeling we'll be skiing a lot more this year. Jillian is going to ski on the Devo team at Winter Park, she's really excited! So pretty much any weekend this winter between December and March we'll be up there!

Welcome aboard Cayley! I've got a 10 year old daughter too, so it's great they can have someone to look for.

We've got a couple of things going, right now there's a meet scheduled for the first day on Deck 7 aft (directions to an awesome map are in the first post), we're looking for a few more folks to join us for a meet brunch at Palo (adults only, and there's a $20 per person charge for eating at Palo) and we've got a group together who is going to get wristbands for our cruise. All of the information is on the first page, so check it out! I'll add you to the roll call, if you want to add family names, let me know and I'll add them as well.

Hey everyone, I also kind of rearranged the roll call (again...) to put those of us who are pretty active up on the top of the list. The original thread had plenty of folks, but there are a lot of them who aren't really chatting any more, this should hopefully make it easier to find names for folks we've been talking to! (although I have to admit, there are a couple of folks from the cruise we took last year that I still refer to by their DIS names )

Can you please explain about adding names and the activities you've got? I have been on another blog until I found this one today. This is our second Disney cruise but the first time we've met people online prior to sailing! This thread is so long I don't have time to follow it all to catch up!
