Today the first Airbus A380 paid its first visit to Germany doing a fly-over of the Airbus plant in Hamburg. I hope that the A380 will aslo come to Frankfurt soon. Even though I work for Boeing - as an European I'm very proud of that aircraft and want to see it in real life.

The plan is definitely for wireless! One last question, when I look at the upgrades to 60GB there is 5.400rpm and 7.200rpm - what difference does the rpm mean?
60GB (5.400rpm) IDE Hard Drive [add £58.75 or £1/month1]
60GB (7.200rpm) IDE Hard Drive [add £111.63 or £2/month1]

PS Mum thinks this is wonderful me getting advice from Germany and USA - thank you so much.

More revolutions means faster data-transfer, but as far as I know also higher powerconsumption, which is an issue with a notebook. If you have money to throw away go for the faster one, but if you mainly use your laptop for surfing, wordprocessing, downloading digital pictures, and perhaps to watch a DVD from time to time, stay with the slower one.

Perfect - thank you so much! Now any questions about cross-stitch, interactive whiteboards, The Waltons or Little House on the Prairie I'm your gal!
Wendy

:rotfl: Anja used to watch Little House on the Prairie, and as a kid I always watched The Waltons with my family.
But cross-stitch or needlepoint is not our thing, and what is an interactive whiteboard? Is it one of those whiteboards with an integrated printing device?

I have an interactive whiteboard in my classroom. It's connected to my PC and a data projector. At it's most basic level I project powerpoint lessons onto the screen and move text /diagrams around. We can also write/annotate over word documents and print them off. I take photos of the specimens pupils are looking at down the microscope and label them, play education games etc. Put it this way it is being upgraded this week and I have been totally lost without it!

I have a rectagled shaped box that sits under my computer deck, and a tv looking thing that sits on top of my computer desk. We bought it in 1998. Still works just fine. Of course DD wants a new computer or her own laptop. Not going to happen anytime soon. :teeth:
No hurricane for us this week. :cheer2:
Going to NASCAR party at sister's house tonight. :moped:
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Neat cake Michele. School here doesn't start til the day after labour day although there was a school in Brampton that started the beginning of August as it's going on an all year round system. First one in Ontario I think.

Am at work today just trying to clean up my desk. I left on Friday leaving piles behind and wanted to clean them up before Monday since I have a meetings all Monday morning.

Our accounting program has been found. There is just stuff in the wrong places so that will take a bit to fix but otherwise it's looking good.

Was going to go to the ball game today but didn't quite get there. Wanted to stop into work first and on the way got a flat tire. Had to wait for CAA to come and change the tire and then had to get a new tire. Am now finally at work but $140 poorer.

Wendy - your whiteboard sounds really neat. Wish they'd had something like that when I was in school.

Big news here also is that Jim has said that if I want to go to WDW for my birthday I can look into it. :cheer2: :cheer2: That's early December so we'll see about flights and stuff.

Take care everyone.

Fiona

Ave - so glad that you are safe from Katrina. Fiona so glad they found your accounting system. Dec is a wonderful time to go to WDW. And yes I think the whiteboard is very neat - and I even let the pupils use it sometimes too!
