I still dont understand why the people choosing to do another cruise date are constantly being put down for it..its a choice to try other ports and see other sights not the usual....

Don't let it get you down. This is the same kind of "junk" that we have been listening to between the East & West Panama cruise groups. One day (trip) soon we will all be together again.I think everyone is excited for those of you that are able to take the 11 night cruise and probably a little jealous as well. In the mean time enjoy your special trip...

Love & Hugs, Kim & Mom

Arlene,
if that is a reference to my post about the cost:
It was in no way meant to put anyone down :confused3
I just stated one of the reasons why we didn't want to book that one - Period
There's no need for you to be so sensitive about, nor is there any reason for you to feel bad about switching.
If I had any negative feeling about the switching I wouldn't helped getting you folks started your List, would I?

Eric:Thanks for clarifying that its not a put down and it is appreciated that you helped starting the list and anything else you do.

I will miss my friends that we wont be cruising with and this is the main reason that we hesitated doing the switch. Definetely will miss the late night chats with Marianne and Sharon,Jims jokes and other peoples smiles and laughs...

Actually, I thought the biggest muscle in the human body is the brain.......shouldn't you also be exercising your mental capacity? :rotfl2:

Wisecrack-mode ON:
-The brain is NOT a muscle
-The brain is the biggest energy consumer in our body
-The brain alone burnes about 115grams of sugar a day (1/4 pound), which is about 460 calories
-The dumber you are the more calories you burn solving a problem. This was scientifically proven by studies in which people of different IQs had to solve problems while being observed with an infra-red camera showing the heat developing in their heads. The heads of people with low IQs really fired up, while the heads of people with high IQs stayed cool.
Wisecrack-mode OFF ;)

But you're right: One has not only to train one's body, but also one's mind. That's why I read at least two books a week, read about 15 different magazines a month. I always read: I read while working out on the treadmill, in the bathroom (Where else? :teeth: ), before sleeping, etc.
Anja & I even took Spanish-classes as a kind of brain-jogging. I try to participate in every training course my company offers. I always say:
Life is like a river and learning is like swimming upstream- when you stop swimming you'll be drifting back.
And most important: Mens sana in corpore sano - Although during a cruise it sometimes is: Mens sana in Campari Soda :drinking1

And finally I just checked out your link: Those riddles are fascinating. I guess I'm going to print some of them next week. Do you know if there are PDA-versions available? I would like to have some of them on my PDA to give them a try without the need for paper and pencil.

No harm done :love2: But I'll have a real New York Bagel on you in eight weeks :rotfl:

SO THAT'S THE REASON WHY I CAN'T LOSE ANY WEIGHT!!!!!!!! I"m just so freaking smart, my brain doesn't need to burn any energy! Thank-you so much for that very reassuring little bit of advice. I will no longer be jealous of skinny people.

Sorry, i can't help you with the PDA thing......I know you can do them online, but if you want to solve the more difficult ones you will need to make little scratch marks and nothing works better than the old-fashioned paper and pencil (but because I'm so smart I always do mine in PEN!)

Cooool: A Russian lady just cleared 5.01meters in the Pole Vault finals :earseek: That's $60,000 for the Gold Medal - and another $100,000 for the World Record.

But is she any good at Sudoku?

But I guess the American men's 4x100m relay didn't make it onto the 'Smart List': They lost the 'Stick' in the first switch :earseek:

Don't you have coverage of the championships on your TV-stations?
We even have it commercial-free as it is broadcast on the public stations.

If I still have abs I don't know where they are!
:rotfl2: :rotfl:

You have to come to the gym with us - and the next day or two you will exactly know where they are (No pain - No gain).

How can I know what's on TV? ..........I'm too busy doing Sudoku!

I always thought females have that multi-tasking ability :confused3

Truth be told, my temperment is like a woman's but my brain works more like a mans! (Could be either a good thing or bad)
And on that note, I'm going back to work! At this rate, I may have to sleep with the boss to keep my job!

Sometimes I skim the posts quickly (small wonder I get things confused at times!)

As far as I know it's quite sure that they will join us.

But for Dave & Ellen it's not as it this weekend is also parents' day at their DS's college.
