Daisy looks so cute!
Eric - but as a true Aberdonian why would I buy new shoes when I have perfectly good ones at home? As for the life expectancy - yeah, yeah.
Herzlichen Glückwunsch to you both.
Wendy

Michele -- Daisy is darling -- what a sweet face! So glad you finally have her at home, even if it doesn mean a little(?) extra work.

..... I always say losing the weight is not the problem it is keeping it off. I've been trying to vary my exercise routine also. For all the time I spend in the gym I should look like Anja.....
*Big Sigh* .... If only we all should look like Anja...

Well, us of the female persuasion that is.... puckerup:

Ave! Four BIG ones! That's a huge dent in your budget! Just keep trying to think of how worthwhile it will all be in the end. I only saw the shell of the home and the beautiful front door, but I can see that it will be a wonderful home to live in.

BTW - I have pictures I need to send. Two great ones of the dolphin encounter. I am so mad that at my first two stops (Flagler and PCB) I didn't use the camera as much as I should have. I missed taking pictures of my niece and her children in Flagler and I missed taking pictures of your whole family and Mary's too in PCB. Next time!

Yay! to Dave and Ellen staying with Cruisetoberfest! YES!

Want to post a zillion things in response to all of what is happening here (VERY cute puppy Michele!) but time always plays a negative factor in doing same.

Cathy, Glad to hear that Art is doing better. You and your "Goofy" stuff will be missed. Love and Hugs to you both! :grouphug:
Eric, Thanks for the map. Love it.
Rosemary, We can't all wear size 4. I would love to have just a few of your inches. "Short people got nobody to love." :rolleyes1
Lots of time to plan the Cape Canaveral Resort/Hotel Thing. Just throwing out some ideas. Cathy, Thanks for any help you can send this way. :goodvibes
Jeanne, CONGRATS to your son!!!!!! That is so exciting! I'm sure the boss will not fire you. He needs a line dance partner. :rotfl:
Michelle, Cute dog! Don't you just love that puppy breath!
Wendy, Thanks for being here.
Jim, PLEASE keep posting! :bitelip:
Hey Everyone, In just a few short weeks we will be at the one year mark! :Pinkbounc

House Update: The reason for the extra cost is that we wanted a "gravity feed" septic system, instead of the more common electic pump system. And this required a lot more fill dirt. After spending many days without power after Ivan, we thought this was a good move. Just didn't realize it would cost so much. The wireing was installed today! And I went to the Flooring store and pick out our carpet, tile and vinyl. :Pinkbounc
Later, Avé

Ave - in that case it will be money well spent although I certainly don't want you to have any more hurricanes to se what a good thing it is!

Oh no, Ave, I almost forgot about that.....how embarrassing! We need to open up another position: someone has to teach me the electric slide, the macarena, the we-like-to-party dance, etc., etc :confused3
(Because I may swim worse than I play golf, but even my swimming is better than my dancing!)

Nancy - Do you ever go into the Bob Evans' in York? My brother just got a Manager position and that is the one he is training in right now.

Melody,

I know right were that Bob Evan's is, but we don't go that way very often. It is right near the interstate and Rt 30 intersection and traffic gets backed up there frequently. So we usually take another route to go to that end of town. So how long does he have to stay in the York area?

I believe you can only purchase it if you have an annual pass. Otherwise we would definitely have gotten one!

I knew I could only purchase it with some sort of discount that I had. I have so many different disney cards it is hard to keep track of them.

But I thought anyone could purchase for $75. But for that price not as good as bargain. I just found a website that you can prepurchase counter type vouchers for $16, but you would really have to watch were you use them. I believe it includes side, main, drink and dessert. But I would never eat that much at a counter type place in one of the parks.

Gosh we have talked alot about food today. I just finished dinner from Panneri's.

Gosh I thought I was the only person who could not do any of those dances. I don't think they taught them in gym class did they.

Nancy,
have you heard of that neverending fountain of wisdom called 'GOOGLE' ? :earboy2:
Here's their best hit SUDUKO
I didn't know I either, but it has no calorie-burning virtues, so I won't do it :rotfl2:
BTW, I work out as much as Anja and even move twice the weight while doing it and she has far better abs than I do. So I guess a lot of it is genetic. And I love chocolate & gummibears far too much :teeth:

Thanks for all the info about DDE. That's not our piece of cake, as we usually eat very little at the World:
-We love the burgers at Electric Umbrella in Epcot
-We always eat cake at the Kringla Bakery in Norway - and feed the little birdies with crumbs
-We like the Character Breakfast at the Breakfastosaurus/AK
-We once did a Character Dinner at Chrystal Palace

But usually we don't eat a lot in the Florida heat. We have a good breakfast with cereals, bagels, fruit and yoghurt. Over the day we usually have some fruit for lunch, and perhaps an icecream. And in the evening we just have a snack at Taco Bell (Our favourite) or at a food court in a mall. But I have to admit that we are Dunkin' Donuts addicts so we often 'kill' half a dozen of them in the evening while watching a movie :earboy2:
Fortunately there aren't any DDs in Germany except for Berlin ;)

Hi everyone  Miss you all! I haven't gotten over here much this week. Not because of switching cruises but because I'm going to Disneyland in 6 days!! There is so much to do right now, but I'm sure it will all come together this weekend. We "just" found out about Peter and Jenn's surprise.

I got the photos forwarded from Peter, without a note and started looking at all the pictures. I couldn't figure out who Wendy was and why Peter was sending me her pictures. When I got to the food, I looked through a couple pictures and thought "this looks good, I wonder where it is?" and then it hit me  This is V&A's! Great pictures Wendy! I am so excited about this  :cheer2: and don't worry, I won't eat anything before going. I'll be on my post-Disney cruise diet!! Though I'll go off of it for one night! What a great way to end our vacation :cloud9:

Does anyone else get the Allears newsletters via email. There was a great article a week ago about why having an annual pass costs you more money. Because you keep going back to get in more trips.

LOk - I can vouch for that one!!!

Ave,
just a -perhaps- dumb question: Why didn you you take that electric system and bought one of those little Honda 4-stroke-generators? That would have saved you at least $3000 und you would not only have power for your septic system, but also for your fridge and a couple more appliances when confronted with a black-out.
BTW, I'm always amazed about those septic tanks as in Germany nearly all houses are hooked up to public sewage systems.

Michele,
Anja asked me how far it is from Boston to West Virginia ;) , but
a) it is too far and
b) you would be mad when your dog was suddenly missing :rotfl2:
She's a real cutie and we would love to see more pictures!!!

Nancy,
I've been subscribing to the AllEars Newsletter now for many, many years and enjoy it very much. And yes, I read that article about the AP in the end costing you a lot of additional money. And that also made me think of another issue:
The 11 Day-crusie is not only considerably more expensive than the 7 Day, but also has twice as many Ports-of-Call, which means twice as many locations to get rid of stacks of little green pieces of paper ;)
One more reason to stay with Cruisetoberfest - especially if you're from Scotland :teeth: or from Frankfurt :rotfl2:

Wendy,
I have to tell you a story from WDW:
Anja and I are always interviewed by CMs doing guest surveys. I don't know why, but they always get us. So this lady asked us the usual questions: Where are you from, where do you stay, how many times to WDW, how many days at WDW, annual income (A taboo question for Germans, but that's another topic ;) ), etc. She just checked off boxes after every question without looking up for more than a glimpse - until she asked 'How much did you spend today in the parks?' (It was near closing time) and I replied '$2.50!'. Her head shot up, eyes wide open, jaw dropping '2.50 - You're pulling my leg!' I said 'No, we had a Diet Coke from a street vendor and that was it'. The rest of the questions came with a slight stutter and she never seemed to have recovered fully :rotfl:

I still dont understand why the people choosing to do another cruise date are constantly being put down for it..its a choice to try other ports and see other sights not the usual....

Actually, I thought the biggest muscle in the human body is the brain.......shouldn't you also be exercising your mental capacity? :rotfl2:

I took a look at the Sudoku site you posted and didn't like it very much. This one is much better: http://www.dailysudoku.co.uk/sudoku/index.shtml
I like it because it classifies them according to 4 different levels of difficulty and you can work your way up to the more difficult ones. You can search the archive for all the different levels. My favorite is the "very hard", but with those you will reach a point where you have to choose between 2 different answers (I call it the leap of faith) and it's very convenient to have access to a copy machine so you don't have to start at the very beginning if your choice turns out to be wrong. I prefer to do the merely "hard" ones when I'm traveling (like when John's driving and I'm the passenger!) because you can solve it completely with logic alone. Everyone in my family (except John!) is completely addicted to these and my younger son and I are very competitive when it comes to solving them quickly.
