Hey,
your sense of humour is as weird as mine :rotfl:
Good to hear that Bette is fine, give her a hug from Anja & me :grouphug:
BTW,
perhaps we can make a tombola and you can make the tumor the Grand Prize - perhaps in a nice glassjar :teeth:

Great news, Kim! We have Bette in our thoughts and are glad to hear that she is home and on her way to recovery.

Bette:That's wonderful news about your successful surgery.......now make sure Kim takes real good care of you so you'll be up to full speed in no time.

Kim, So happy all went well and your Mom is home safe and sound. :flower:
Thanks for keeping us updated.
Love, Avé

Kim and Bette, so glad to hear everything is well! :grouphug:

Bette--- So glad that you are doing well. You have been in my thoughts and prayers.

Jeanne--- What a great article about your daughter. Makes a Mom and Dad proud. Anxious to hear your good news. Does this mean there will be a trip to WDW soon?

Glad to have the update on MaryJo and Sarah.

Great TV night. Survivor and Apprentice.

I do have one question about Survivor, my snack break took longer than I expected and I missed how the flint fell into the water.

Nancy

AAARGH,
I have to be at the office tomorrow
New special project.
BTW, perhaps some of you remember me talking about another special secret project I was working on through a couple of Saturdays before xmas. It came to a happy ending: We are now the exclusive supplier for Jim and Fiona's flag carrier Air Canada :bounce: :Pinkbounc  This is great news as there was very tough competition, but we succeeded eventually.

They were paddling back to their new camp and their boat completely flipped over. They said that a wave hit them and all of a sudden they flipped. Thus, sending their "fire" box to the bottom of the ocean.

Great news Bette and Kim. Now Bette you DO have to stay in bed for a couple of days to recover ok??

Nice to hear about Mary Jo as well.

Survivor was interesting. I felt sorry for the two who weren't picked to even really play the game. Brought back bad memories of being picked for sports teams in schools. Wasn't surprised at who got voted off either. It will be interesting to see if they find the flint or not.

Have to get ready for work. Have to be in early as I'm leaving early to pick up DS.

Congrats Eric on winning the contract for Air Canada although I have to admit we'll never use them as they are way too expensive!!! Course it's the taxes not the fare but am not paying $800 to fly to Florida.

Fiona

Regarding Survivor: I'm glad they didnt pick Wanda - her singing those songs would drive them crazy and I'm surprised they picked Willard(the older guy) over the young guy.

Also glad that they voted off Jolanda she was too bossy too quick. I am partial to Tom since hes from Long Island and he seems to be a nice guy.

Re Apprentice - glad they fired Michael - seems to be lazy....

Arlene

Glad that I checked in today since I wanted to see how Bette was doing...great news and don't overdo it. Was worried that it might be malignant so that was the best news that it was not!

HAPPY 15TH BIRTHDAY SARAH!! :bday:

I don't check in very often or post hardly at all since things are very bad at our hospital....so far this fiscal year we have lost 4.9 million and they have started to take vacation off of us...for the next 20 weeks (10 pay periods) we will not accrue any vacation so the net affect for me will be to lose 8 days. If we can't turn the hospital around financially, there will be layoffs since we are 66.0 FTE's over so the next 5 months will be very interesting.

Sam is patiently awaiting the start of school...was supposed to start in February but now the start of class has been postponed until the end of March..he is starting to get bored at home. Only problem is that in order to continue to collect unemployment while going to school, he cannot have any time off so it is a 52 week course with no breaks.

Hope everyone else is doing ok...talked to Cathy Werner yesterday but I am trying to not do alot of personal stuff (Disney boards) while at work since you never know who is watching and I can never get on the computer at home without making an appointment with Sarah!!

Happy Birthday Sarah!! :cheer2:  :bday: :cake:

I hope everything works out Mary Jo! Makes for a lot more stress at work, stress that you don't need.

Tracy and Bill

Bette ... hope you are better today and that "gas pocket" pain is gone. I was told walk, walk, walk to get it moving and discipate. Part of what comes with laproscopic. Give Kim another hug cause I'm sure she is mentally drained worrying about you. You guys are an ideal mother - daughter team!

Sarah ...

and remember, next year when you turn 16 and get a drivers license, you can get your free dinner at Cooper's!

Mary Jo ... You have 365 days to stock up on tylenol before Sarah is able to get her license! :rotfl: :rotfl:

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2: :love1:

Maryjo good to hear from you and sorry you are having such problems at work. Hopefully everything will work out....

Arlene

Happy Birthday Sarah!!! :cheer2:

Only another 365 days and you can get your driver's license!

Here's a :grouphug: for you Mary Jo. Can't imagine the stress for you. It must be awful but hopefully all will go well.

Arlene - You're right. Glad to see Michael go.

Jim couldn't understand why I stayed awake last night and had to explain that it was a great night on TV esp with the start of Survivor.

Fiona

Bette: Hope you're feeling a little better each day.
Mary Jo: great to hear from you again! And Happy Birthday to Sarah. What everyone says about driving is unfortunately SO TRUE although girls are somewhat better than boys (Sorry Eric, that's one thing that women are much better at.....avoiding wrecks!)
I thought Survivor was awesome. I love the way they keep changing the rules. OMG, that Wanda lady.......she looked like a very nice person, but the SINGING? I would have thrown her overboard after 5 minutes. I felt bad for the young guy who didn't get selected....what was up with that? I didn't see him act obnoxious.....or was he just too physically a threat? I'm also glad they voted off Jolanda.....what a bossy little know-it-all she was!
Yes, I may have an announcement soon.......I just wish they would go ahead and schedule the freaking inspection so I can feel it's a done deal! I am so hoping to be able to schedule that mini-trip to the Polynesian!

jeanneg...knew that I forgot to post something....when you are in Lewisburg for your daughter's swim meet (I know I am behind in reading the posts!!) but great article on your daughter....be sure to go for dinner at the Country Cupboard....very nice restaurant and nice little shops to stroll through...right off of the Lewisburg exit of I-80.

Yes, I love that place! We discovered it 2 years ago when they had the Championships there also. I was so excited because they sold Mexican Hats (the candy) which are my absolute favorite! In fact, i loved those shops so much we tried to book a room there back in November for next weekend but they were totally sold out already. I was very disappointed until I learned we will be staying in the same hotel as Jen's team (Holiday Inn Express/New Columbia) which means we'll get a little more time to spend with her. But we'll definitely visit the Country Cupboard place again. They've already scheduled a team parents' dinner on Friday night at La Primavera......have you heard of it? Are you guys close to Lewisburg? If so, maybe we could meet. We basically have our free time between around 1pm to 5pm......the rest will be spent on those hard, horrible bleachers!

:cheer2: :cheer2:   Happy Birthday Sarah! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Mary Jo -- The hospital business is sure not what it used to be. We have had several massive layoffs in the last 10 years. They were sorry when they let a lot of nurses go (due to low census) but then the census picked up and they couldn't get the nurses back with the shortage. Retirees used to get a $5000 paid up life insurance policy and they canceled that last year which is a joke since it would have cost them a pittance, but a lot of people were counting on it. Then an newspaper article came out a few months ago stating how the hospital had the biggest profit in years -- can't remember how many million, but I wonder if they made that money by cutting the life insurance for retirees. I know what you mean about using the computer at work. It gets kind of scary when scary things are happening elsewhere in the hospital. Good luck to you. You guys have had enough problems in the past year. Hope Sam enjoys his classes when they finally start.

As for Survivor, I could not believe that Wanda woman. How weird! I think they said she was an English teacher? Wonder if she sings to her classes. Don't know why they did not pick the younger man instead of Willard. Oh well -- last Survivor the men voted off all the strong young guys and that is how they lost so many challenges. Glad they got rid of Jo -- she really thought she was a big deal (with a big mouth). Hope the other guys find the flint.
