Hi everyone! Just checking in. Just been lurking on and off lately and realizing there's lots to catch up on. Hope everyone is doing well. We're fine. Love the banana icon also!
Mary- Chris went to lunch the other day at a little cafe here in Mooresville with some coworkers and Dale Jr. was with some buddies at lunch a few tables away. He just melts right into the crowd. Little Chris just got an ipod for his birthday. He saved up all his Christmas and bday money for it. Things are getting too high tech for me.
Eric- Gruss Gott! Wie Geht's! Love the newsletter idea. There's so many folks in our group, it'll help me keep up with everyone.
Jen and Peter- Sorry, our families are from Philly(grew up there) have to route for the Eagles. Plus, the wounds haven't healed yet from last year's Super Bowl with our Carolina Panthers. See you at the pool on the cruise:)
Laura

Oh Well you can still have a spot at the pool..

Peter

Jenn & Pete,
have a look at my new Countdown-Timer :cool1:
I programmed it for the IcelandAir Flight which is scheduled to arrive at Boston Logan Intl at 6:20pm.
I already did a lot of comparing on the Web: Icelandair calls up €1060 for the two of us, Expedia got the same flight for €1030, a small German website has it for €1026, but last night I found a -so far- unbeatable offer for the same flight at €861 :earseek:

Great job when you get it Nailed down let us know and we will pick you up at the airport... :goodvibes

We're going to wait until May/June before we buy the tickets as another pricedrop or special offer is highly probable. As soon as we've booked you'll be the first to know :wave2:

Well today Is State Wide holiday .. Lol
Not really just took the day after the Super bowl off..

Peter

Congratulations, Pete :cheer2:  :cheer2:  :cheer2:
Now I know what I'm gonna get myelf as a souvenir from Boston :earboy2:

BTW,
a coworker spent some time in BOS last year and will provide me with some guides and a map. What I like best so far, is that so much of Boston can be explored on foot, i.e. the Freedom Trail.
And I got a question: When I want to throw tea into the harbour, does it have be loose leaves or can I also use tea-bags? :rotfl:

Throw either Eric -- although I shouldn't be saying that as we were on the 'other side' of that battle! My relatives actually left the US to move to Canada at that point in history.

Well it's back to work today. Luckily it wasn't bad at all while I was away. My secretary said it was dead while I was away and my desk looks worse than it actually is which is quite true. Love the dead of winter when nobody wants to move.

A partner turned 50 on Friday so the entire office went out to lunch today at Mandarin -- which is a chinese buffet. It was great and free!!

Back to work now though.

Fiona

LOL, Fiona :rotfl2:
I read in the news that some Americans considered to do the same after the outcome of the elections ;)
My old team is invited to lunch too on Wednesday. We'll be lunching in a restaurant which is located in one of Frankfurt's medieval former guardtowers at the old townwall - about 700 years old. They serve traditional German food, which I rarely eat - But when the boss is paying I guess I can make an exception :earboy2:

Eric ... I have an idea for the "NewsLetter" ... could there be a section on the Birthdays or Anniversaries that will occur in the month of the newsletter?

Peter ... I must say, congrats on the game ..
fballch3.gif
BUT I still love my Eagles and it was a good game.

last 10 seconds of the game I knew we had it licked..

to bad Eric the ship was moved to an unknown location ..

Greetings Cruisetoberfest Friends,

I come with good news :) and sad news :sad2: First the sad news...At this time, we are officially out of Cruisetoberfest IV. You think, what could be good news now?? We have booked the week before, October 7, 2006 :bounce:
I am planning to start a new thread on cruise meets and call our group, if there are no objections, "The Warm-up Act". We will try our best to warm up the Magic for Cruisetoberfest IV. Of course, should a scheduling miracle occur, we would try to re-book for the 14th. I only hope the new thread is as successful as this one is. Maybe we will even get some "cross thread" action going. We will work on it and see how it goes. More to come...
Allen

Allen -- Sorry that you have had to change your cruise plans. We will miss you and hope that a scheduling miracle will happen. If not, I'm sure that you will have a great time on the 10/7 cruise, and it will be wonderful to have someone warm the ship up for us.

Allen,
as we're going to the Carribean, where it's always warm, I don't think a warm-up is required - But what about a clean-up? :rolleyes1 :rotfl:
I'll delete you from The List with the next issue  But you may feel free to use our lay-out for your new list.

Cathy,
BD's and Anniversaries could be a possibility for the CruzLetter (What does everybody think about that name?) Wasn't there somebody (Kim, Bette?) working on such a list anway? I could use that list as a source for the CruzLetter.

Just finished watching Day 2 of "Perfect Proposals" made on the Magic (on TLC). Day 1 was very disappointing -- only saw a few scenes of the ship in the last 5 minutes of the half-hour show. Today was great -- 25 minutes of onboard views of the Magic, including the lobby, Pirate Cay, Palo's, the POC party, the salon, pool, a little of St. Marten's etc. The couple played Mickey Mania in Studio Sea where they were set up to win a tour of the ship, including the Captain's bridge where the future groom proposed on knee. Hope tomorrow is as good as today. If you are taping, Michele, don't give up ater Day 1.

I was out shopping today and forgot to get home in time! Good thing I have the DVR set up so I can watch later! Thanks for the reminder! Yesterday was a bit dissapointing. I too, was hoping for more of the ship. I'll have to let the boys watch too. They'll get a kick out of seeing the ship. Time to get those monsters, er, ah, I mean, my wonderful loving boys, off the bus!

I've been watching the Perfect Proposal episodes this week too. I just love seeing the DCL ships. I can't wait for this September!!! It can't come fast enough!!

Allan - BIG RED Bummer ... but I like your thinking "The Warm Up Act" .... maybe we can just meet in the lobby and you can pass off the keys to the ship!

Peter ... That's true, it was such a game that it took till the last 10 seconds.
BTW I was glad it was a clean game and no cheap shots to those that were just healing or ailing. (PS How'd you like my All American Dressed Football Guy?)

Eric ... Yes, Bette or Kim was working on that Birthday / Anniversary list. YooHoo --- Bette, Kim ... what do you think? Just how often do you get a "card" from around the country or world to celebrate your special day! :cheer2:  :cheer2:

(Sorry, I just luv the Bananananananana Guy.)

Work - :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: (OK, I feel better now!)

We just finished watching PP. She was SO deserving of that trip! She is a bigger Mickey Nut then I am! Did you see her kitchen? Wow!!! The boys were excited to watch it too. I'll have to be sure to have Steve watch it when he gets home.

Time to make Valentine's Boxes....

Eric, I think the CruzLetter is a great name and so is the idea! Sorry--we've been in lurking mode also....lots to catch up on!! Looking forward to the first edition of the CruzLetter & catching up w/new & old friends.

Barbara

Congrats to the Pat fans! :cheer2:
Condolences to the Eagle fans! :confused3
But it was a very exciting game, right up to the end.

Loved the Diet Pepsi Commercial with P. Diddy! :cool1: We are truley a sick and materialistic nation.......gotta love it! :teeth:

Happy Fat Tuesday Everyone! Giving up pork for Lent. :sad2: No more bacon, sausage, pork chops, pork roast, ribs, and so on and so on. Of course my heart will probably love me  for it.

Allen, So sorry you will not be cruising with you and your family. There is always 2008. ;)
Later,
Avé
