Cute photo of Haley! Are you sure a second mortgage would be enough for the photo package? I wonder how much it will cost to UPS photos home on the Panama cruise?

Pretty lucky with the envelopes Renee. I got an unexpected cheque from the government yesterday but it was only $24 -- the interest on my Canadian Savings Bonds! Don't think it's going to buy many drinks at all. Just tell Lenny he has to share this time!

Would love to see a photo of Bette parasailing. I'm thinking of going next time but know that Jim will never do it so will be looking for company!

Back to work -- we have an audit next week so am looking through old files. It's a lot of fun. I'd rather open Renee's mail!

Fiona..too funny about the English teacher....I told Sarah to just suck it up and kill her with kindness...Sam already had her feeling sorry for him and I intend to reinforce the "I'm Irish theme...been to Ireland and have relatives that came over to the US from County Mayo and I have some relatives on my father's side that still live in Ireland...blah, blah, blah!! Sarah still wants to have her deported but since that isn't going to happen, the saying goes, you get more with sugar.

Melody....wait until I tell you some stories (over lunch or dinner) about this wild and crazy group of people...you and EB may have second thoughts. Now if anyone would like to bribe me to say really nice things about you...feel free....remember DH is unemployed and we will take cash, visa/mastercard, travellers checks, etc. But Fiona...we do not take Canadian Tire Money!!

Of course, didn't want to her have a "bowl" cut! Actually they gave her the hat after the haircut. It says "First Haircut" on the back. The guy that cut her hair was great, and she was an angel the whole time. She got some "pixie dust" and a certificate with the date on it. They really do cute things for the kids.

Marianne: Our headwaiter's name was Praeglean (sp?).

MaryJo: Do you take rainchecks? Still have the '06 cruise to pay for. LOL We are in Giants Stadium on Friday, November 12. I don't know what time we go on, but it is in the evening. We'll be leaving right after school. I'll send you more details as I get them.

Renee: Could Haley get any cuter? I was almost tempted to buy her photos on the cruise. Is Lenny prepared with his shotgun?

I've been back since Tuesday evening, but I have been so busy and you guys have posted so much since I left, I just couldn't find the time to get caught up. Whew, we are growing in leaps and bounds!

Welcome to all the new people......I won't mention you by name because I'll probably leave someone out and I wouldn't want to do that.

Eric: Thank-you for compiling the list once again......you are truly amazing!

Sharon/Ciara: best of luck with the band competition....the photos are great!

You really have to sail with us next time.......you know we all love Sara, but if for some reason she can't miss school, would you and Sam consider going without her? (and I know she's gonna hate me for that remark......)

re parasailing: who will do it with me next time? Did Lenny ever get to go or was he cancelled like I thought I was?! I really did want to do it, Papa......and wasn't scared a bit!!!!! I'd love to see the photos of Kim and Bette.....just so I can be convinced that it is possible to parasail and live after it!

Renee: that's great news about the escrow refund....I guess the first round is on you! Haley's haircut is so cute!

Peter and Jen: congrats on the Red Sox.

Mary: so sorry about the passing of your MIL.....it's a terrible loss for you, Mark and the family but at least her suffering is over.

N'awlins was nice, but Bourbon Street was just plain NASTY!!! And it smelled really bad too! We had a heat wave while I was there and of course, I had packed all the wrong clothes. The temperature hit the nineties, and the humidity was unbearable!
I ate lots of beignets, but walked my heinie off so hopefully it all balanced out. I started back on my diet on Wednesday, but I broke it so I started again on Thursday....so far, so good and the day is almost over! Some good news:I hit a jackpot at the casino, which is the first time something like that ever happened to me. I won $500 on a quarter slot machine and was going to treat everyone to drinks, but since Renee's check was bigger, she can have the honor! Actually this Monday I have 2 mortgage payments due, so the extra funds will come in handy.......anybody wanna buy a 6 bedroom/5 full bath house? Somebody, please!!

Finally made it back home. Driving to PCB (about 1000 miles)and back in 2.5 days is a LOT of drving! Ave and Mark are doing ok. I am glad I was able to be there for them.

I have DS birthday party tonight. Roller skating/sleepover party for 5 boys!So, no rest for the weary

Yes, Lenny's did get cancelled so he didn't get to go this year.

Where is Boston Pétér these days.....he is MIA...could it be that he is with the Red Sox at Disney World??? We all know Pétér...he will do anything to go to the world or on a cruise including bumming space in people's cabins...he already is planning on the 8/20 repositioning cruise and has bummed rooms in winotracy's and piglet33's rooms--good thing that I cancelled or he would be sleeping with Sam.

Sam is still waiting to start his job with Pétér at his house in St. Thomas. Sam is chomping at the bit to work for him!!!
