That's ok, you can buy the second round since I'm sure one round of drinks won't be enough to satisfy everyone!:teeth:

Talking about rounds: With more than 90 people on The List already, I expect us to be nearer 200 this time. So we won't bring the mini-bottles of Schnaps this time, but large ones:drinking1 and disposable shotglasses - and no sour Schnaps this time, just the sweet one. I had to drink most of the sour shots myself ;)
Our maximum allowance is 2 litres (~1/2 gallon), but perhaps the other Germs can bring two bottles as well. A gallon of Apple-Schnaps should be sufficient for the Sail-Away-Party pirate: It's 200 shots.

Do you think you will have room for your clothes?

OMG ... I can't believe how active this thread has been since it was started. I didn't check too much in the last day and now I have lots to catch up on.

WELCOME :sunny: to all the newbies. Don't feel too bad about being a newbie cause before you know it you will be hooked and will be called a "veteran".;)

Sharon, I did take a second and checked out the band's pictures and they have awesome uniforms. I really wish them lots of luck in
the next stage of competition. What an honor!

George Jr ... Happy Birthday

(Afraid if I don't do it now, I'll miss it ... is it Saturday?)

Kim - OK ... I want to see a picture of Bette parasailing and one of Mike if you have it too.

Eric ... I know you won't believe this but could you send me one of the "red butt reindeer".

Everyone else ...

Wow you guys have been busy - so hard to keepup with all the posts:)

Ave & Mark so sorry for your loss.

Welcome CRSNDSNY -where in PA are you from?

Renee I love the pic of Haley - so cute! I've heard it is a great time to have their haircut at the world, do you think it was worth it? how long were you there? with all the other things to do we've never been able to squeeze it in. Have a trip in Jan so maybe I can this time.

does anyone scrapbook with their pics?

Yes, definitely worth it. It only cost $14.00 plus tip for the haircut, and she got a really cute certificate with her name, the date and the name of the person who cut her hair in caligraphy, the Mickey Ears with "First Haircut" embroidered on it, and "pixie dust" wrapped in a paper towel with her hair.

We got really lucky since we went when it was raining so there were only two people in front of her already getting their haircut. We only waited about 15 minutes at the most and then it was Haley's turn. I'd say we were there about half an hour. I heard that the wait could be hours if it's a nice day. That's why I picked to go when it was raining.

Renee that's a really good deal for Haley's haircut. I keep telling Jim that he should get his hair cut there but he won't go for it.

Sharon - looked that the band photos and like the uniforms. We have school bands here but not marching bands with uniforms like in the States. It's actually mandatory here for kids in grades 7 & 8 to take music and play an instrument but not many continue into high school. DS played the tuba which was great to have to carry that home on the bus!

It's supposed to go up to 20C here tomorrow but rain. It really looks like fall though with the trees all losing their leaves and it's definately getting cooler.

We will: We usually travel with two to three large bags/suitcases to the USA - And return with four after all the shopping. This year on the way to the States we had two bags for us and one large bags full of gifts - But also returned wíth four as usual ;)
We did our very best to help you fight your deficit:teeth:

I do, but I get pretty behind at times. I still haven't done our trip to DL in May, but just before the May trip finished last November's cruise.

Tracy

I also scrapbook but am behind also. I have to do last WDW Dec trip, May cruise and Oct cruise. Plus I have scrapbooks for each son which are about a year behind. Since I got our digital camera I have had a problem getting the pictures developed to scrapbook. I took the CD that my son burned for us to the CVS and it wouldn't recognize it. They show up on our computer, ub t not there. Since I now have the new computer and going to try to send the pictures to CVS via their website. Apparently you can then pick up the next day. I did print out a couple pictures that I was using for a project on my printer, but don't want to do that all the time.

Jeannic--- Are you celebrating today?

Jeanne--- Welcome back. Maybe you could open up a B&B instead of selling that house. Wasn't able to get tickets for Clay's Christmas concert in Baltimore. Tickets went on sale at 10 am and keep trying through ticketmaster no luck. Sold out in 15 minutes. Some are on ebay already but I'm not spending that kind of money for tickets.

I didn't realize that CRSNDSNY was also from PA. Up near Sarah's Mom and Goofynut.

Renee--- Haley does look so cute in that picture.

Oh Peter where are you?

Everyone have a great weekend.

OK, I was just reading Eric's cover letter for the cruise list #2 along with everybody else's postings and I gotta tell you that the lady from Charlotte, NC who just retired is JEAN (no -ne at the end). JEANNE (like the hurricane!) is the person from both Raleigh and Wake Forest, NC who is still working and unfortunately a long way from retirement!

I changed my post quickly to get the right name, I don't want that Hurricane Jeanne blowing through PA.

I'm pleased to report that today, Friday, October 29, 2004, I have achieved a new Personal Best Time in the Daily Supper Preparation Category of four minutes, 23 seconds.

I achieved this astounding time by opening two family-sized can of beans, emptying both of them in to my medium sized crockpot and then added four Jumbo-style hot dogs. I Bammed!!! a couple of quick shakes of Chef Paul's Meat Magic Seasoning Blends and then turned the crockpot on. The time includes slicing the dogs up in to bite-sized portions.

I feel that I can improve on this time by eliminating the dog slicing process but I will resist eliminating the Bamming!!! of the seasonings. I also plan to eliminate the wearing of earphones playing something that I had to air guitar on; I felt that I lost valuable time doing that, but it did improve the experience.

I've decided to forego the opening of a can of peaches for dessert this evening. This would probably take the time well over five minutes and I would be expected to put in that amount of effort for every supper time in the future.

Jim.

Hi all! Just wanted to pop in to say we will be joining you for the Oct. 14th 2006 cruise. We just got off the Magic on the 23rd. We booked while on board.

This will be only our 5th Disney cruise, but we are looking forward to going to Castaway Cay twice!

Our Clan is:

Garry (dis name Boardwalk Garry)
me- Julie (dis name wildernessgirl)
Makenzie - DD (5 yrs now)
Garry - DS (3yrs now)
Brooke - DD (9 mo. now)

Can't wait to meet all of you!

Nancy -- I am celebrating by relaxing and planning all the things I am going to accomplish in my leisure time, altho I am being asked to return PRN after the first of the year. People say I am going to get bored, but I am exhausted already with planning my projects, the biggest of which is getting my house and my mom's ready for sale in the spring. Luckily Sam is still working so I can get rid of loads of his stuff while he is out of the house -- think I have to do it gradually so he won't notice. I want a smaller place without a pool and all the work that goes with it.

Jeanne -- It is confusing with our names, isn't it? Dis Boards wouldn't let me get a "Jean" name so I went with Jeannie which looks almost like Jeanne.

Welcome, Wildernessgirl! How did you happen to choose your DIS name?

Jim -- Keeping posting your recipes. I suppose I will have to learn how to cook now that I am home all day. By the way, are you wearing your new ties while you playing chef?

Eric,
I made my family (son and husband) travel as light as I did in Europe a few years ago. One carry on each and nothing else. We threw out old underwear and clothes to make room for souveniers. I am trying to get my Mom to do this for our trip to Mexico in December, but I am sure that we will end up with at least two suitcases and a carryon just for her. She's my darling fashion plate Mama!
We head back to Europe in March - 17 days (2 travel don't count!) and I am still insisting that she travel light. We will see how it goes in December!

Rae

Rae the bigger the car we drive down in, the more suitcases we seem to carry. We did better this time. Mike

Hi Jean. I picked wildernessgirl because my husband and I are DVC'ers and own at Wilderness Lodge and at Boardwalk. So his board name is Boardwalk Garry and I picked the other resort.

You all seem to be a great bunch! I'm looking forward to chatting with you all until we cruise!

If you happen to come to the Frankfurt area, you'd have your native guide at your disposal ::yes::

Julie,
I got your mail
Welcome aboard pirate:
Your family name sounds suspiciously German ;)

Unfortunately I had to take work home, so the next update has to wait til I'm finished. We have a special project going on im my company, which will be a major breakthrough in aviation. I can't tell more details right now as all the info is still classified, but will post as soon as we finished the job. We're working on a very tight deadline, so I'm going to spend the whole evening and most of tomorrow on it (But I mustn't tell our union, because sunday-work requires a special permit, which I hadn't time to obtain;) )

Sorry about putting the wrong Jeanne on retirement and congratulations to JEAN:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Jeanne,
we checked out your house and like it very much.
