Eric--- Congratulations on your new car.

Jeanne-- What a nice video, your son did great work. I cast my vote for the group. I also cut and pasted the information to my son since that is his type of music and of course since your son and mine are both basically in the same profession. I'm working on getting Norm to come to NYC in Oct. He is more of the problem than me, remember he doesn't like NYC. My only concern is that will be less than 1 week until my conference and don't know how many things I might have to take care of that weekend. I have looked at Amtrac's schedule so we wouldn't have to drive.

I started taking a new class at the gym called Define Yourself which is using weights. I can hardly lift my arms today as she really had us working on those muscles last night. Good thing I am done with painting as I don't think I could hold a paint brush.

Work is finished so I am heading home. Have a great weekend everyone.

Nancy

Congrats on your new car Eric.

Not a problem Jeanne.

Work is quiet at the moment which is a good thing. One secretary was away this week (back today thankfully) and the other is away next week so I'll see what damage I can do next week. Only one mistake this week! (so far, that's been noticed.....) :goodvibes

Next week I get to see what files I'll babysit for the other lawyer who's away after next week for 2. He had a smile on his face this morning so it could be interesting.

have a great weekend everyone.

Fiona

Guess who will be at Barnes and Noble at 12:01 a.m. with DD....for this I should get Mother of the Year....I'm usually fast asleep by then so it will be interesting!!

Nancy...I am watching the Amazing Race on GSN...I missed the first episode and it is amazing how much differently they play the game....I started tuning in (originally) during the middle of season 2.....wonder who wins this one? It is interesting to hear Phil say that the last team to arrive will be eliminated.... not might be eliminated to keep us guessing. Doesn't Phil look more mature in the later shows?? The only thing that I don't like is the fact that I have to drop whatever I'm doing at 9:00 EST every night!!

Bad day at work today...we tested our emergency generators and we had a power surge when we tried to switch to back-up generator and the voltage went from 120 V to 208 V and we had flames and fire coming out of tons of surge protectors..had the fire company here and we had no power in our Operating Rooms, ICU, Laboratory, Radiology....we were literally shut down due to lack of power....finally after around 7 hours, we just gave the OR the ok to get up and running again. Not a good way to spend a Friday!! Also lost about 29 computers and twice as many printers and fax machines!!

Jeanneg....we will listen to the web site tonight and vote for Mae!!

Harry Potter .....

We got out of going, hey call us at 4 am when you get thru the Line !!!!!!!

Peter

Folks,
List #14 is in your mailboxes - Check it out.

I just found a mail that Amazon has shipped four copies of the new Harry Potter to my office - For me and three of my collegues. So I will start reading it on Monday during my lunchbreak ;)
But I have interesting literature to read for the weekend: 300 pages of manual for the car, and another 100 for the car's HiFi-Equipment.
A have to get used to the transmission: After 20+ years in cars with five-speed manual transmission, I have to get used to the sixth gear in the new car ;)
My second motorbike had a six-speed as well, numbers four, five, and six only had five gears, but for years I tried to shift into sixth - now it's vice versa.
We cruised at about 80mph back home and averaged about 29mpg - i guess this number will improve when the car is broken in. I mainly had it on cruise control. Our old car didn't have that feature and so I drove about 130 mph on the way to the dealership, but cruising at only 80mph is so much more relaxing, that I could get used to it ;)
OK gotta catch some Zs now, it was a long day, but I wanted to get out The List as promised :wave2:

Pete & Jen,
let's Skyp some time soon and talk about Boston and NYC :grouphug:

Congratulations on the new car Eric.

Hope that everyone has a great weekend. Pixie dust to all of our sick and recovering folks.

Welcome to all of our new cruisers to the list and the cruise. Mike

Congrats on the new car, Eric and Anja.

Thanks to all who viewed the video and voted.

MaryJo: Ooops, I totally forgot about the Harry Potter party. I preordered mine from Borders and their festivities began at 9 which is really just a few minutes ago, but John and I just got back in from a "Nine and Dine" and I really don't feel like going out again. I can get the preorder price as long as I pick it up this weekend. Besides, right now I'm reading "The Good Earth" for my book club group so I wouldn't be able to start it until after I finish that. We read "The Other Boleyn Girl" last month and it was great!

Nancy: you go, girl...gotta work on those arms so you can really deck Norm if he refuses to come into the city!

Hi everyone! Sorry that I haven't been around much. Life has been crazy around here.

We're heading to WDW for a last minute weekend for my birthday and was wondering if anyone needed anything. We're leaving in the morning, but I'll be around tonight if you need anything.

Thanks for adding me to the list Eric! Next time you can add my birthday which is October 19th! A sea day, how perfect! I can't wait to book brunch for this day!

Kay, what date is Harry's birthday?

We are going into New York City again tomorrow. DD's birthday was the 12th and 2 weeks ago we saw Wicked, and tomorrow we are seeing Sweet Charity! She kind of has a month long celebration! Lucky girl, her boyfriend got her tickets for Lion King on the 20th! (I wanna go! lol)

By the way, Peter and Jenn, when we were there 2 weeks ago, I went to the Disney Store and got something for you, but have not taken the time to mail yet. Soon, I promise!

Robin

Oops, Robin ;)
Sorry about forgetting to put your BD on The List. I just had a couple of minutes to do it last night and had to rush through it. It will appear with the next edition.

Alles Gute zum Geburtstag, Amy :cheer2: :bday: :cake: :thewave:
Have fun at the World (and please note the slight trace of envy in this post ;) )

Happy Birthday Amy! Have a great time at WDW :cheer2: :bday: :thewave: :cake:

Happy Birthday Amy and have a great time celebrating at that happiest place on earth!!!

Just waiting for Harry to be delivered -- preordered it and they bumped it up to delivery today. Last time I got to the book first and started reading it before Jim even realized it was here. He'll finish it first though as he's at home during the day and I'm not.

Another heat wave day here.

Off to purchase a birthday gift for DN who's 1 today.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Michele:

Jeanne, I WISH it was us going! Amy is spending her birthday there! As of right now, it looks like we won't be back to FL until the cruise...which REALLY bums me and the kids out, BUT we have 2 new cars, soon a new puppy and a few things that need done around the house. So, understandably, WDW will have to wait. Although, Connor is now tall enough to ride the big rides and is trying to hint to his Dad that he wants to try them out soon!

Michele:ooops, when I posted I mistakenly thought you lived in central FL....must have gotten you mixed up with Alikat!
