Thanks for all the well wishes for DD. She started to go to school today, but once again got sick on her way to the bus stop. But she is better now, and plans on going to school tomorrow. Glad everyone enjoyed the smiley.
I miss the Jim show thing. I to was not feeling well on Tuesday, and went to bed as soon as I got home.

Got to run and feed the family. Take care everyone!:wave2:

Later, Ave'

Here's a joke - especially for Mary:

A giraffe wanders through the savannah when she meets a little bunny. She looks down a the bunny and says 'It is such a pleasure to have a long neck like mine: When I eat those tender leaves, they slide down my long throat and it's 15 feet of pure joy!'
The bunny just looks at her doubtfully, so she continues 'When it's hot in the savannah I drink some cool water. The feeling when the refreshing liquid trickles down my loooong neck is so great, it's nearly unbearable!'
The bunny just looks up to the giraffe and asks innocently 'You've never thrown up, have you?'

Can I just make a suggestion regarding the group photo.. can we do it earlier in the day so we dont have to break away from any activities/sunning that we are doing??

I think we have to synchronize that with the ship's schedule: Last time during the sea-days they also had games going on in the Lobby, character-greetings, etc. I think that this doesn't leave us with many choices. We have to ask the Shutters-staff for a convenient time and then spread the word using the good old bush-telegraph (This is NO joke about GWB ;) ) But we can surely ask for an early appointment -let's say 10am- and then see what happens.

Vielen Dank, Mike  But I'd prefer an English copy, please. The German translations are often awful and as 90% of the books I read are English anyway, it shouldn't be a problem. Due to my work in the aviation business I also know the special vocabulary required.

I am so glad that you want an English copy. I didn't even think of that until I saw Mike's post. Then I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find one for you in German. Now as long as there's a guide book at the zoo, I can get it for you.

Last year when I asked DCL about doing a group photo they had the photo manager call me and he was the one to set the time. However we can always ask about a better time frame if that is what the majority wants. The switchboard was wonderful about leaving messages on the phones for time/date/location of the people who we had cabin #'s for.

Do you guys want me to set this up again for this year or does someone else want to take the group photo on ??

PLMK, Kim

 For those that don't know Mr.GoofyNut is my hubby! He's the shy one of us (hehe).

Kim ... I thought you did a good job with the group photo. Only one suggestion ... we still have to sing MICKEY MOUSE, etc, etc, etc. I thought the CM's at guest services were going to bust!
Could you do me a favor and send me via e-mail if possible a copy of the names & numbers that go with the number you did for last years photo. Senior Moment and I want to put it behind the framed Group Picture.

I'm still alive and lurking ... just that this is the absolutely worst time of the year for our office with COLAS, IRS Tax etc. Hardly have time to even lurk.

Well wishes to all that are ailling and good luck to those competing in contests, etc, happy birthday to anyone who's aging, etc ... have I covered it all?

I was a little disappointed with the "Jim" show but did enjoy Art & I saying hey that really is on the ship or in the room or this really is there BUT the wooden bunk beds are definitely not what's on the ship. One thing I really liked was when Jim was rolling on the floor with Goofy during the Sail-A-Way party. WISH I WAS THERE, RIGHT ALONG SIDE OF THEM! But then I'm @GoofyNut

Well back to work and the real world..............

Oops ... Eric, liked your preliminary "Activities List" Maybe you could add something about taking up the first two rows during the shows each night ... that was a lot of fun a year or two ago.

I also would love a copy of the names and numbers for the back of my picture too. If anyone has it, I would really appreciate it.

I will post a link to the chart that I made up that ID's all but 1 person in our group photo on DCL from last year. I will try and get it up by tomorrow.

Bye, Kim

Well, here I am in Charlotte, NC, snowed in. Thankfully I managed to get home. Took me 2-1/2 hours to get home from work instead of the usual 1/2 hour in traffic and 15-20 minutes with no traffic. We are supposed to get 6-10 inches of snow. No snowplows except on the main roads when they get around to it. Felt like I was back in Chicago, except there we would have a chance to get in a day or so. It's supposed to get warm over the weekend -- hope that's true because we just have to wait until it all melts to get up the hill on our street. Sure wish we were on the Magic now.

Booked a short cruise on the Wonder next June to introduce our daughter and grandson to DCL. Couldn't do a longer cruise then because who knows where the Magic will be. We will combine the cruise with 5 days at BWV so that will be OK.

Eric -- the schedule sounds great. Can't wait to meet you all in October! Wish it were sooner.

Jeanneg -- Are you being hit with the snow? I talked to someone at Blue Cross shortly before I left work, and it sounded as tho you did not have any (or at least not much) when I called. Our snow came up from the south (weird) so maybe you won't get it. Hope not!

Ok Eric no problem::yes:: glad to do it. Hope that you and Anja have a great time in London. Mike

Renee & Mike,
thanks a lot for taking care of the guide-books

Kim,
you're now our official Court Photographer by Appointment of the Listmaster :teeth: You'll appear in that function on the bottom of The List's next edition - Thank you :wave2:

If anyone has another idea for our To-Do-List for the cruise, justsend it to the Yahoo-account and I'll incorporate it in the next edition of The List. BTW, I already copied the 10%-voucher for the Grill onto the List. This way you don't have to download it.

Here's another question,
what about starting our Cruisetoberfest-Chat again?
For the newbies: Before the last two Cruisetoberfests we met from time to time in one of the chatrooms and exchanged gossip, joked around, got to know each other better.
We usually did that on Saturdays at 4pm CET/10am EST, but as we have people living in the Mountain and Pacific time this year, we could also switch to something between 10pm CET/4pm EST/ 2pm MT/1pm PT and 12am CET/6pm EST/ 4pm MT/3pm PT.
We could do the first one Saturday, 03/06. Just tell me your time preferences, the majority wins.
For those who haven't chatted yet: Just check out the Chat Board, set up a username/password and download/install the I-Chat software.

OK, going to catch soem Zs now. I'm kind of tired today as we worked out especially hard tonight and I want to be at the offfice at 6am tomorrow. Anja has a day off and this way I can go home at 2pm to pick her up for the next workout as early as possible.

Ooops, I nearly forgot to answer Jeanne's questions: Yes, the have some Nautilus-like machines in the gym, some regular cable-pulls, a small assortment of free weights and lots of treadmills. There's also a small aerobic-room. While working out on the treadmills you can look down through some slanted windows onto the bridge seeing the crew in action. And you may want to bring some headphones to listen to the music or plug into one of the TVs while doing your cardio.

G'nite

Thanks Kim. Thought you did a great job last year. Work's been busy this week. Survivor and The Apprentice tonight -- yeah!

Snow is starting to melt here. At work I can see some grass but at home it's all still covered. I work approx 30 km east of where I live and the difference is sometimes amazing.

Watched Jim and was kinda disappointed as well since they really didn't show much of the Magic. Jim actually watched it with me which is amazing in and of itself and he hardly ever watches tv. We both recognized the street in Key West though which was kinda neat.

Back to work so I can leave early. They can't get the heating right in the building and at the moment we're sweating like a sauna -- yesterday it was a freezer.

Hey everyone!!! It's been a long time since I've been back here, so I haven't read all the messages, just decided to post.

I have some bad news, after many discussions and the current situation with my job, we had to cancel our Oct cruise with you fine people. It wasn't a decision that was made lightly, we just knew that financially it wasn't the smartest thing we were doing. So, we will be so sad not to see you all this fall.

But, please keep us in mind whenever you come to Florida or WDW, because we would love to see you.

As for me, I'm keeping busy, and Emily is keeping me on my toes. She is perfecting the art of temper tantrums (boy, I just LOVE having a 2 yr old). I'm 30 weeks along now, so only 10 to go. Well, actually 9, because the doctor expects to schedule my c-section for 4/28. I'll know for sure the first week or so in April. Other than that, we're all doing good (except for being very sad about our cancelled cruise). Well, there's always next year!!!

Take care...oh, and I promise to keep stopping by to say HI.

Amy,

I'm so sorry that you had to cancel. I was looking forward to seeing Emily and the new baby. Our table just won't be the same without her and you and Chris (of course).

Take Care.

Renee'

Thank you so much Kim. The link worked. I already printed the pic out with all our names. I'm going to put it in the album next to the 8x10 we bought on the ship.

Thanks Again.

Renee'

Oh Amy, I'm so sorry you're not coming. Now I am really mad that we didn't get together while we were in Orlando. Glad to hear the pregnancy is going well for all of you. We will miss you on the cruise. :( Please drop by and say hi when you get a chance. And PLEASE let us know when the baby arrives.

Kim, Thanks for doing the group photo thing. We had a great time last year, even though it was sort of "last minute". I LOVE that picture! Well worth the $20.

Anyone going to see The Passion of Christ? One of the docs in my office is buying tickets for everyone that wants to go. But not sure when we will get to see it. It's playing on 2 screens here, and tickets are hard to come by.
I've just finished the book The Divici Code. Very good!

Eric, Mary loved the joke, in a teenager kind of way.

nuf said, got to run.
Later, Ave'

:( :( :( Amy, what a bummer we won't be seeing you guys ... we had so much fun on the last cruise. Give Haley a hug for us and I've been thinking about you and the new baby. Please check in and keep us posted on the new little one.

Amy, Chris & Emily,
we're really sorry to hear that you won't make it :( Shall I keep you on the distribution-list for the Newsletter/List or shall I remove you? BTW, did you like the Schnitzel-mix? We would have loved to see the new baby, but unfortunately we won't come to St. Pete this year and neither will we go to the parks. Our focus will be on Norther FLA and South Carolina this year. All the best for the birth and keep us posted :wave2:
