Amy, and family...so sorry you will not be joining us..but there are many more cruises in the future. Hopefully we will meet up agin in person. In the meantime, we can keep in touch on the boards!

Survivor was great. I was SO glad to see Hatch go (and be blindsided too) He was WAY too smug, thinking he was the only one who knew how to play the game. And him getting naked was getting really old::yes:: And Ethan dodged a bullet AGAIN! He has more lives the a cat!

Kim, thanks for doing the group photo thing. Just tell us when and where and we will be there!

North Carolina Jeans!!!! How about this weather!???:earseek: We were just a few degrees too warm to have snow or freezing rain (34degrees) but it was by far the worst weather of the winter. The wind was really blowing, causing downed power lines, tree limbs, ect.

Ave, my boss also got tickets from her church for "The Passion". A group of my co-workers are going tonight.I think I'm going to wait a few weeks before seeing it.

I finished "The King of Torts" very good book. I want to read the The Divici Code also. I have heard it is very good.

Time to get to work...Friday AT LAST!!!:teeth:

Hi Jeanneg and Jeanniec: Having fun in the snow? We got about 12 inches here in Mooresville. I think we were the only school system that had classes yesterday. Actually, the kids were dismissed about a 1/2 hr. after getting to school. From what I hear, if the buses run, the day isn't counted as a snow day to be made up. I think they made the right call since it didn't start snowing here until after the kids were on their way to school. The kids are having a blast with it. I prefered to watch it from the window. I got out there for about 5 minutes, but the wind and snow hitting my face was too much. Sounds like South Charlotte and SC really got hit. It'll be a nice long weekend for everyone. Our Obstetrics unit here should be quite busy about 9 months from now;) How much did the Raleigh area get? Well, take care and keep dreaming of Castaway Cay:D

Amy, Chris and Emily--- We will also miss you on the cruise. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and please keep us posted when the baby arrives.

Unbelievable weather in the Carolina and Tennessee, up here we are starting to have warmer weather. To be in the 50's over the weekend and maybe 60 on Monday. I have been doing my indoor workouts since Jan because of all the snow. Now should be able to get out this weekend and do my 3-4 mile powerwalks. Most of the snow on the streets and sidewalks are gone. I still have alot of snow in my backyard. It is more ice than snow so we can't get to the bird feeders because of it being so icy. Plus the dogs are having a time sliding around on the ice.

I am also so happy that Richard was kicked off Survivor. He was being even more obnoxious than last time. Plus entire nudity thing, especially during the challenges. Both Ethan and Colby dodged the bullet this time. This was the most interesting one so far. I was bored with the earlier shows.

The challenges on the Apprentice are getting much more complicated and it is starting to show who can take the heat. I'm starting to like Heidi and Troy did an awsome job with getting the Trump ice sold. I was hoping that Nick would get booted as he is getting to me, but Ereka was just having total meltdown so she did deserve to go.

I wish these shows were more spread out during the week. I have American Idol Tues/Wed then Survivor and Apprentice on Thurs. I need something on Monday. I do watch Everyone Loves Raymond, but they haven't been that good this year.

I am working on catching up with my scrapbooking. So am ready to start to put my pictures from the 9/28/02 cruise in my book. I have 3 cruises and 3 WDW trips to get in there before we go for our May cruise. Between TV shows am working on that.

Time to get to work.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Nancy::MinnieMo

Amy -- glad that the pregnancy is going well but like Renee said it simply won't be the same without you, Chris, Emily and Maddie. Please let us know when she's born and all the details -- including a picture. :bounce: :bounce:

We aren't sure yet if we are going to stay at WDW after the cruise -- we're hoping too but will have to wait a bit to see if we can. If we do we'd love to see you if that's at all possible.

Missed Survivor yesterday. Can someone fill me in? My mother's car is in for service (2.5 days and counting so far) so I had to take her out to do some errands and didn't get home in time to see Survivor. Did see The Apprentice though and agreed with getting rid of Ereka. She was almost in tears a couple of times and the whole paperwork thing was just unbelievable. I couldn't believe that she kept blaming Nick without taking any responsibility. Although I don't think anyone did a great job on that time.

Thought that Troy did a good job though. Couldn't believe Omarosa, yet again she didn't add anything.

Saw the snowfall in the Carolinas -- unbelievable!! It's supposed to go up to 9C (not sure of the conversion to F, sorry) here on Sunday so we are hoping that a lot of the snow goes bye-bye.

It's Friday and payday so how great is that.

Fiona

Hi Fiona,

Richard got his but kicked off survivor, boy they blindsided him, it was great. On previews for next week Sue goes postal on the host Jeff, I gather it is about her coming face to face with Richard in a challenge, minus his clothing. They had to try and push the other person off a foot wide bridge over water.

Personally, if it was me doing that challenge, I would have grabbed what ever was " dangleing" and he probably would have jumped by his own choice.

On the Apprentice, Oh my gosh, Omarosa is such a lazy slimy person. I almodt died when she asked a potential client if her make-up was ok... She is just unbelievable... I think Trump will be happy when he can fire her...

back to work, enough TV gossip.

Bye, Kim

AKA " The Court Photographer"

Hi Kim,

I was just bowled over about the makeup thing -- and then she talks about how great she looked. I didn't see any difference.

Sounds like I missed an interesting Survivor. I'm almost sorry to see Richard go though since he was funny. The shark hanging onto his arm was just too amusing.

It will be interesting to see Sue yell again. Her final speech was something to behold that's for sure.

Back to work.

Fiona

 Another thingy about Richard from Survivor ... He's "gay" right - how come we haven't heard from him on going to San Fran to get "married" or he so annoying that he can't find another gay guy to marry him? If you get a chance go to CBSNEWS.COM and check out what he said about why he went "naked". PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!

Had the Friday from Hell at work ... this will give you an idea how bad, I'm actually looking forward to staying home tomorrow and doing laundry and other chores. No phone with complex or down-right "Duh" ?'s

Eric ... Still laughing over the rabbit and the girraffe. THe good news about that is you have plenty of time with the girraffe to get a bucket to catch the yuck :teeth:

Eric,

Very good memory on Pittsburgh from page 82. The Golden Triangle is made up of Point State Park. It's where the Allegheny and the Monongahala (one of 3 north flowing rivers in the world) join together to form the Ohio.

By the way, hello to everyone. I haven't been here since early December with WAY to much crap to do. All I can say is that I must be having LOTS of fun because time is just flying by.

Anyway, hope to catch up a little here. Just started 10 pages back to do a little catch up. Hope everyone is well.

Nancy (and George)

Hey Windy, How's the new house? Are you going to join us this year? :earsboy:
Still waiting to meet you in person.

TGIF!

And no snow in FL.:sunny:

Later, Ave'

Laura -- So how's the snow situation doing in Mooresville? We had a little melting today. Hope for more tomorrow so I can get out and do my weekend thing. Lots of angry people at Presby. New snow policy went into effect after the last storm. All staff members are considered "critical personnel" now (even office workers) and if you don't come into work during a storm, you get docked for a day. Can't use vacation time to get paid. I'm waiting for an uprising. Many people just make it from check to check, and if conditions make it impossible to for them to drive, it isn't really their fault. Even city buses were not running this morning. Oh, well ---

To the Jeans and Laura,
Hope you are OK. Sending Sunshine your way.:sunny:

Twinave: Thanks for the sunshine! It's here for the weekend:) I actually had fun with the snow though. I took the girls to a church nearby that had some hills and we went sledding. I haven't been in years, and I think my body will tell me that in the next few days. We had a blast though. Its melting now but we enjoyed it while it lasted.
Jeanniec: Luckily, I'm not scheduled until tomorrow to work again, but I don't know how folks did it the past few days. Despite road crew efforts, the roads were still a mess. That's not fair, with their snow policy (especially office staff). It would be one thing if public transportation like subways, trains, etc. were available. But the only way to get around here is cars or buses (if running). Let me know what happens. I think I'm ready for spring now.
Regards,
Laura

Laura,
we're also longing for spring. We had a lot of snow this week and more is forecast for next week.

Temperatures were in the mid 60's today here with lots of sunshine. Kathy got the back porch cleaned off today. Mike

I drove Anja to the hospital this morning and we had -5°C/23°F  I'd prefer 23°C (73°F) :sunny:

Anja has it good. Chauffeur, chef and chief cook and bottle washer in Eric. They say women are the weaker sex(NOT). Keep him straight Anja.

Kim I can send you a PDF of last years cell phone numbers if that will help. Mike

A slow weekend on the boards. But, a busy weekend for us. Lots of Boy Scout stuff and family stuff. The sky was blue for the first time in a month!
Is the North Carolina snow gone?

Nancy and George...nice to see you again!

Kim I can send you a PDF of last years cell phone numbers if that will help. Mike [/B][/QUOTE]

Hi Mike, That would be great,

Thanks Kim

Mary -- Unfortunately, the NC snow is not gone and I don't think all of it will be gone for a while. The guy in charge of streets said that he thinks we will still have some snow around until April. Amazingly enough, tho, after almost 18 years in Charlotte, we had a snow plow come down our street Saturday afternoon (twice!!). So I was able to get out and up the hill to civilization. A most welcome surprise! Haven't heard from Jeanneg in a while, not since the snows started here. Hope everything is OK there.

Hi Jeannie......thanks for your concern, but we were actually out of town for the heaviest part of the storm. I know that schools were closed in Raleigh on Friday, but it was absolutely beautiful in Annapolis which surprised me because it's right on the water and i thought it would be quite windy. In fact, it was so warm, we didnt even need coats.....just a lightweight shirt over our team t-shirts when we were outside. DD did very well: she scored in all 3 of her entries and achieved a best time in the 1650 free (mile), which is an event she absolutely hates! She was a little disappointed because she achieved higher scores last year, but the competition was much tougher this time around.

I need to go back and read the last 2 or 3 pages of this post. We were on the road Thursday when Survivor was on and so I had my son tape it for us. We hope to watch it tonight. Since I have absolutely no idea who was voted off, I was afraid to read any of the earlier posts because I know it's always a hot topic of conversation. Hope my boy Ethan is still around!

Eric: good luck with your sporting event....would that be called a bi-athelon? I'm ashamed to admit that I do not know how to swim. I took lessons twice recently, but I just didn't like the sensation of having my face in the water. I can do a mean doggy-paddle, though! BTW, you mentioned you had never been to Annapolis.......it is a very, very beauiful city with lots and lots of great restaurants.
