I loved someone's idea of $3 a day! (Sorry, I can't go back and find who it was.) I think I will do $5 a day. That seems very reasonable. I will definitely buy Disney gift cards after every $50 or so because I know I will be tempted to spend it on so many other things!

I just transferred my Disney Visa rewards dollars onto my rewards cards. There are $140 on one card and $40 on the other. Another $180 to use in Disney! That should easily cover the tips on the dining plan.

DH gave me $25 GC for Disney in my stocking. I also received the Disney Visa vacation club offer yesterday. I need to call on that to get the $40.

There are great suggestions here. We are heading back to Disney in July. I am scrimping and saving.

Something no one has mentioned, but may be regional, is Points to Blue.

Basically my health insurance is Blue Cross Blue Shield. Through their website, I log in all of our exercise and doctors visits. You get points for doing healthy things, then the points can be cashed out for gift cards. You can get up to $250 per account (we have two, one for me, one for DH). Anyway, it may be regional (KC area), but for all those there... it is worth five minutes a day.

We want to surprise the kids with this trip but since we are either going right before or after Christmas, they will be getting gift cards from some of their family when we announce the surprise. I have already talked to some of our family about it and they like the idea because the shopping is super easy and because they get to be part of the excitement, surprise.

If the NYE announcement is a good one that will push us towards the 2012 trip but if not it is probably 2013. As you can tell by my ticker I cannot decide.. lol

COME ON CRAIGSLIST! I need more $$$$$!!! I'm looking to go Labor Day weekend, so I have eight full months. That's about $115 a month, I know I can do it.

It's 35 weeks until I can go (at least I hope I can go) so if I can put away $10 a week every Monday, that's another $350. $910-$350=$560. I bet I can do $160 at a garage sale $560-160=$400. I bet I can sell $150 on Craigslist, so $400-$150=$250. I'll get about $175 for my birthday (crazy, I know, but I still get birthday money) so $250-$175=$75. Pretty sure I can make $75 appear sometime over the next eight months

Everyone is doing a great job saving! Yay go us!!!

We're a family of six too so we are in the same boat. Though if there is no dining discount I may not do the plan since we will either be in a suite or cabin, giving us fridge/microwave access at least and stove/grill at best..

We have found it to be cheaper and more roomy getting adjoining rooms at pop. We too are hoping for free dining.

My balance seems to be going down oh so slowly BUT the end of the month isnt the best for us as far as extra money goes. We have mortgage to pay! I would like to set a goal as to how much extra money I want to set aside each week. I think $50 from my paychecks and DH always gives me a portion of his side job money...right into Disney it goes!
