#1 - Who would have guessed!

DD had her pre-enrollment with her HS counsellor today. She has straight A's since 8th grade. She's now a Sophomore. The form that the counsellor gave her listed all of her credit and grades along with other pertinent info. Part of the form listed class rank - SHE'S #1 OUT OF HER CLASS OF 464 STUDENTS!

Needless to say, we are very proud! She works very hard, takes tough classes and still stays involved in several activities. Wish I could take credit, but she really does it all herself.

Sorry for the shameless mom brag - I couldn't resist!

Congratulations to your daughter for all the hard work necessary to be in the top dog spot. Keep up the good work ~ many scholarships are offered to top students. My own daughter graduated #7 in her senior class of 429. I know it takes a lot to earn these distinctions. Good for you Mom for all your support as well! I know you are an integral part of her successes.

Lol! That would make her dad very proud - he is a third generation dentist and his mom is a hygenist, so it has kind of been a family profession. Right now she is thinking of pharmacy school. I just want her in a profession that she will enjoy. Now if I could just get her little sister to remember to turn in her homework I'd be happy.

Hey! I'm a Hygienist and my Dad is third generation dentist too.....BOTH of my brother's are dentist. What can I say...we are teeth people!!!!

Psssst....Just remind your daughter that pharmacy school is as long as dental school but it doesn't make as much money! I know, I know...it is all about what she likes to do...but sometimes when we are young we don't REALIZE how important $$$ is!
