1 Summer, 2 Coasts, 3 Kids...Ready, Set, Go!

9 Days before we leave and 10 days before we arrive at WDW!

Why does work get insanely busy right before a vacation? I have been going bat crazy here.

Nothing new on the Disney planning. I still have tons of laundrty. I still haven't started packing. I just don't feel ready. Anywhere near ready. :crazy2:

I need to make a list to help me get through the next 9 days so that we are ready to go. Tonight, I must start laundry. Marissa is gone for a week, so she won't be adding to the piles. I am hoping to get mine and Chelsea's completely done while she is gone.

I did my Garden Grocer order. So, I do have something to cross off. :cheer2: I am really starting to get excited now. I was beginning to think I wouldn't be as excited since I was just there. I just subscribed to a new TR (I don't know where I had been) because I am seeing comments by several people that I know. It is getting me very excited to be there. So, thank you mickeystoontown for your TR!!!!

Got to get more work done.

It never fails, does it?

I hope you get the laundry done.

Will you then need to do Marissa's when she gets back BEFORE you leave?

Thankfully Marissa does her own laundry, but she will only have 2 days.

I made 2 lists. One for me and one for all the kids. We made a dent in the "to dos" but not everything got done. Chelsea got sick on Saturday , so she wasn't helping. I had errands to do out of the house, so Jacob was supposed to be pulling weeds (more like cut through the thick jungle of the backyard) but he didn't want to leave Chelsea sick and alone inside. So, they did nothing. So, I picked up the slack and did my stuff and Chelsea's stuff on Saturday. Then on Sunday, we all went outside and fought with weeds. So, we are caught up. We haven't started packing yet, but we are getting there.

5 DAYS!!!!!!!

I cannot believe we leave in 5 days. I am not anywhere near ready. I did make my lists (one for me and one for my kids). I have 3 kids, so theirs is 3 pages long. Mine was 2 pages. We made a good dent on our lists, even with Chelsea sick on Saturday. I have done so much laundry. I have decided we have too much clothing. I have piles of clothes that are going to Disney. Chelsea had 14 Disney shirts before we went shopping. She bought another at Hot Topic, plus found a couple of Minnie Mouse shorts and a Minnie Mouse sundress from Walmart. She is going to have to change clothes 2 or 3 times a day to go through all of her clothes. I wish there was a way to leave the ones that she will outgrow by next time to someone that is smaller than she is. They aren't custom, most are either Disney Store, Target and Walmart shirts. Maybe if we need room in suitcase we will.

She and I were supposed to get our hair cut at the Beauty school on Saturday, but with her throwing up, that wasn't going to be an option. I got mine cut. Yesterday, she was feeling better, so I made an appointment at JCPenney, because they are having kids cuts for $10. So, she now has bangs and cut a good 6 inches off the back. Still long enough for pony tail, but she no longer sits on her hair.

Marissa is still in Texas. Before she left, she told them she really wanted to go to Schlitterbaun or Fiesta Texas. Jacob got to go to both when he was there. Well, they didn't take her Saturday. They didn't take her Sunday and then they explained to her that it was only open on the weekends, so she wouldn't be able to go at all now. :furious: I really hate how they treat her sometimes. I don't know what their problem is. They came out for Jacob's graduation, but couldn't be bothered with hers. They never expected Jacob to pay for his way, but expected Marissa to pay for half the plane fare. Jacob got to go to Schlitterbaun and Fiesta Texas and she had to choose only one, and then they didn't take her. She asks me all the time why her grandpa doesn't like her. I tell her that he does, he is just odd. When he does this stuff, it doesn't help his case. I doubt she will have much to do with him in the future. This was sort of his last chance and he is blowing it.

Tonight, we will work on our Mousekeeping envelopes and watch Aladdin. We watched Flubber, which we found at Office Depot on Sunday, last night. Chelsea had never seen it and it had been forever since Jacob or I watched it. Chelsea loved it. Oh, and I will get the packing cubes out and start the packing tonight. I think Chelsea and I will share a suitcase. We have an extra one (old suitcase) if we need it.

Time to get some work done. I don't know how they expect me to work this week.

Disneyland / California Adventure Day 3

We got there early and waited with these fine people at the internal rope waiting for Space Mountain.

Finally have all the Disneyland photos done. Photobucket gave me a headache tonight. We leave in 5 more sleeps to WDW. We watched Aladdin tonight. I should have packed, but I will probably be doing that Friday night and hoping I didn't forget anything.

Goodnight. I need to go to bed, so it can be only 4 sleeps to go when I wake up.

I'm Sorry Marissa is getting the shaft. Feel sorry for her.
That's why she has you!!! :thumbsup2

I adore the ride pictures! SO FUNNY!!!!

You have 5 days!!! That is fantastic! i leave NEXT WEEK!!! :thumbsup2

Marissa gets to come home tomorrow. She really has a good life that she gets to complain about not going to Six Flags or Schlitterbaun. This will be her 3rd trip to Disney this year. She is getting her college tuition free for the next 4 years. While it is sad that she didn't get to do what her brother did last year, there are tons of things she gets to do that he will never get to do.

We laughed at the last Screamin' picture last night, because it looked like Jacob was finally playing along with Marissa and making a face. Nope, he had a sunburn and the restraint clicked down too tight at some point during the ride and he was in bad pain. Poor guy.

We leave in 4 days and will be there in 5! I really hope I can run into you...don't worry, I shouldn't have one of those scooters.

We leave in 3 days!!!!! What did I do yesterday for trip planning? Not much. I am in total avoidance mode. Too much to get done, so let's do it tomorrow. I got home fairly early, didn't take my lunch break so was home before 3:30 pm. The kids wanted to watch Zumanji with me. So, I sat on the floor and made my mousekeeping tip envelopes and watched the movie. Then, I still didn't want to be reminded of all I had to do, so I checked to see what was playing at the cheap theater. They had a Malificent showing at 7:10 pm and in 3D ($3.75). Marissa had taken me and Chelsea when it first came out, but Jacob wasn't with us. So, I decided he had to see it. There were a total of 18 people in the theater. It was great and Jacob loved it.

I was a bit sad to hear that the princes would not be meeting with the princesses this year at MNSSHP. This entire focus of Disney Villans has been overkill for me and I have no desire to even meet them now. I know that is bad to say. I heard the Villans thing on the 23rd was way oversold and they ran out of food and merchandise and there were 3-4 hour waits to see characters and they ended up having to refund money. So, what does Disney do next? Replace the princes with villans and then introduce a Soiree and charge $99. I am staying far away from that. Enough of my rant. I am just glad the kids got to meet Flynn at Disneyland and we weren't relying solely on this party for that. Now we don't have to waste time on those meet and greets.

Marissa comes home tonight!  I have missed her. The house has been much calmer though since she has been away.

I have been so worried about this trip. At Disneyland, I got the Disney rash our first day. I don't want that again. I also don't want the chafing or the blisters. I have a huge roll of moleskin and I bought some other stuff that is supposed to work a miracle on your feet to prevent blisters and you can use it on other places to prevent chafing. I hope it works. I am worried about leaving something important behind and missing the flight and not being able to get everything done. Welcome to my Disney panic stage.

Things to do today (after work):
Buy birthday gift and Disney giftcards at Target.
Attend 9 year olds birthday party.
Get the suitcases out and pack for the 3 of us.
Go pick up Marissa at airport (10:30 pm).

Wish me luck. Have a great day.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the last of the photopass pics (the ones with Tink are especially great!).

I made a packing list last night and I still have 23 days. I know though that I am forgetting something on that list. :rotfl2:

I printed out a giant packing list. I don't think I will be able to take it all.

I am so glad I decided to do the photopass this time. I wasn't sure if it was worth the money (DLR is much cheaper than WDW for the photo preorder) but it still seemed high for only 3 days, but I am super happy to have the photos.

lists.. Oh the coveted word of the day. :thumbsup2

HOLY MOLEY! your leaving THIS WEEK!!! WAAAAAAAA HOOOOOOOOOO

See ya real soon!!!!

We leave in 2 DAYS!!!!! What did I get done yesterday? I got the present for the birthday girl. $15 giftcard from Target. She wanted something called Paw Patrol, but our Target looked cleaned out of it, so giftcard it was. I also bought my Disney giftcards. We bought a birthday card and went out to the parking lot for Chelsea to sign it. She messed up and we had to go back into Target to get another one. :lmao: The birthday party was ok. We got home just in time to watch Big Brother. Then it was bedtime for the kiddos while I waited up to get Marissa. I got there a few minutes before 10 pm. As I was pulling the car into the parking lot, it sounded like something huge hit my car. It sounded like there was cracking. I was :scared1:. I parked and looked all around the car...nothing. :confused3 I couldn't see anything wrong with the car, so I went into the airport. Waited about 30 minutes (because I paid for the full hour of parking). She was last off the plane, except for the pilot. He was following her. She briefly described her time. We went to bed as soon as we got home, but sleep did not come. I was too worried about all the other stuff I didn't get done. All I had done was get giftcards. I am stressing over what needs to be in carryon. Whatever we wear on plane on Saturday, is going to end up being what we wear in the parks Sunday, unless we pack change of clothes in carryon and change in the public restroom of Pop. I doubt our room will be ready at 7:00 AM. We also have to have our ponchos ready.

When I did sleep, I had stupid dreams like we ran into some people we know. Their daughter was on a couple episodes of Jessie, so they had some super fastpasses and they gave us some. We are related but not. The girl is my aunt's niece, but on my uncle's side. Then I dreamt that we got upgraded from POP to Grand Floridian, concierge level. :rotfl2: I can't handle these dreams. At least they aren't nightmares.

We got the letter yesterday. We had gotten an email earlier letting people know that not everyone got a spot on the dance team this year and to prepare your student for that possibility. Chelsea got the letter yesterday and she made the team. I am happy, but boyfriend is not happy at all. :sad2:

Got to get to work. I will catch up with everyone later.

I'm going to follow this so I can go back and read everything. :) I just read your latest (I'm way late to the party) post and you mentioned Big Brother. I'm trying to patiently wait for it to come back!

I am going to read through this again and then put together a small trip report. Small due to the fact I may not remember everything, but there are things I do remember.

I can't beleive you remember enough to put together a small trip report. I can't even remember most of the details of the short trip we did in December, let alone the trip at the end of the summer.

I know, but there are certain things that stand out. So, I will try to write them up. At least I can post some of the pictures.
