1 Summer, 2 Coasts, 3 Kids...Ready, Set, Go!

18 days! I really hate my computer at home. No wonder I never did my trip report from last year. Loading pictures into photobucket is painful! I need to finish putting the pictures from Day 2 and 3 of DLR on here.

We went to Best Buy on Tuesday night and Marissa bought her a new laptop. I bought myself a portable phone charger. Yay!

I was reading more about Memory Maker. I am happy that I don't have to stop after each ride and have them add it, but sort of sad that there is no disc (you can order that for an additional amount). I guess it is fine, I can download them onto my computer and not have to wait for the disc now. Not sure what to think about the ride video of ToT. I should ride it again, just to get the video of that. That would be hilarious. Hate rides that drop you.

I do have some bad news. I won't be able to manage a trip for 2015, unless I find oil in my backyard or win the lottery, which I don't play, so finding oil is the more probable thing. I am not even sure if I can in 2016, but I will go in 2018 (Chelsea will begin HS). I have been in a relationship for 6 years with a guy. I don't talk about it much. My kids don't know him. I refuse to let them get attached until I know we are planning a to marry. There has been talk but no tangible steps, so they will not get a chance to know him. Well, he has only been to DL once when he was very young. He has never taken his children and he doesn't see the point in going. He thinks I should be done with Disney for life, because I took the kids to both DL and WDW. He just doesn't get it. He definitely doesn't understand 3 trips in one year, which is very unusual for us and not going to be repeated, but he doesn't even think annually is an option. :headache:. I just don't see how we will ever come to agree on this. He even wants me to cancel this trip. Don't worry, I am not going to cancel my trip.

Makes me sad not to be planning a trip. I have to find something else to be obsessive about. Christmas? I don't know.

Shannon, I LOVE all of the Photopass pictures...they are really great. The ones on Space Mountain mad me cracking up.

I am so sorry you don't have any trips to plan, and I'm sorry the man in your life doesn't understand the Disney thing. Hopefully in time he will come to understand it.

Glad you liked the pictures. I am hoping to get to Day 2 and 3 this weekend.

I am sure it will be fine. We hadn't gone to Disney for 7 years when I booked our first WDW trip last year, so I know we will survive. It is just that 2 are already almost out of the house. I am not sure how much time I will have with them. It will work out.

Thank you for stopping by. I really hope you start feeling better soon.

I have 16 days until I will be in DHS. It is 8 am here, so it will be 11 am there. So we would be waiting for our first fp and probably eating and drinking some Spark (caffeine source). We should have already done ToT and RnR and gotten our return time for the Sing-a-long show. I am happy they extended the stuff for September. Now that gives us 2 days to try to fit in the usual DHS stuff and then the Frozen stuff.

I told Marissa about the Memory Maker video on ToT ride and she is soooo excited! Today is her last day of work. She is happy to have some time off before school starts.

Not only is it only 16 days, but it is payday today, so that leaves only one payday left before the trip. :cheer2: I need to get the kids together and figure out what they want to do about BOG (I haven't pre-ordered yet). I have also decided not to do Garden Grocer, I think. I figured I could pack our snacks because I really don't want to buy all those water bottles. I guess I will ask them about that too. It is rare to have 3 home at one time. Maybe I will make them all stay home tonight in order to Disney plan.

I forgot to tell you. Marissa had been saving all of our "Disney" and "Marvel" ticket stubs, so I could get points on the Disney movie rewards site. Well, she had just given them to me Tuesday night. I put them on my nightstand to deal with Wednesday night. I came home to little movie ticket stubs torn to pieces. I guess Chelsea got bored watching tv in my room. So, we had 3 tickets for Maleficent, and 4 tickets for Guardians of the Galaxy. Only 2 of the tickets are intact. I was not a happy mama. Deep breath, move on. Just stupid tickets and stupid points that really won't be of much value to me in the long run.

I suppose I should get work done. I hope you all have a great day and weekend. I hope to do another photo update this weekend.

I'm so glad they extended it too; I can't wait to see what it's like.

Good for her.

With only 16 days, you best keep them all home a bit to figure out all the last minute stuff. :)

Bummer!

I hope you have a great weekend; I'll catch your update late Sunday or Monday as we are off to Iowa to see the kids for the weekend.

Well, this will be quick. Chelsea and I had planned to go to American Idol this year, because we hadn't experienced it before and it would soon be cancelled (Dec 31st). Well, today, I read that they would be closing earlier, like right before our trip. NOOOOOO! Actually, it was more like, "Whatever." Then, I saw on the FB September planning group that they had FP+ for the FROZEN Sing-Along Show!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Even better! Two of the 3 kids want to see this. Jacob will enjoy it, but he will never admit it. So, I traded in Star Tours (will we even need a FP for that in September?) and got FPs for the Sing-Along. No more rushing there first to get a return time ticket. We can now go back to original programming of rushing to RnR and ToT at park open to ride without FP. So thankful for that FB group. :grouphug:

Hello all. I have been going through my photos and just now noticed that the Merida pictures are not on the photopass disc. I didn't take any pictures myself because there was the photographer there, so I am sad. Oh well, we will try again at WDW, but not the same. Merida was so great.

Last ride for Day 2:

Sorry people. I just don't feel like fooling with Day 3 yet.

I did back to school shopping and printed off my meal check off card while I was at Office Depot.

We had discussion about Garden Grocer or try to pack it in. We decided we would use Garden Grocer only if they have sweet tea (not gold peak or snapple). It appears that they do in gallon jugs or 1/2 gallon jugs, so I will need to be doing that soon.

We went to Joann's to get a white t-shirt (on Chelsea's back to school supply list). I just read my emails and her dance camp that begins tomorrow morning requires a white tshirt, so we will be heading back shortly. We live about a mile away, so it really isn't a huge inconvenience except that I was just there.

I still need to buy groceries for the week. I really dislike shopping. Today, we are 14 days from trip, so I will do what has to be done.

We haven't packed anything. In fact, I have a queen size bed, and it is only me, so I have been sleeping with my Disney pile on the bed with me. :lmao:

I tried painting the MBs. I used finger nail polish. I am pathetic at painting my own nails, I don't know why I thought I could do it. Ended up just using glow in the dark top coat. Chelsea thinks it is cool. I am glad I am a cool mom in her eyes, some of the time.

Maybe I will watch Saving Mr. Banks before I do the grocery shopping. I don't think Joann's will stay open very long. (BREAKING NEWS: Neighbor is breaking out slip and slide. Chelsea will be playing there, so we will use school shirt for dance shirt tomorrow and go to Joann's some other time.)

I hope everyone had a fun and productive weekend. I barely remember what I did yesterday. Marissa had a hair appointment at beauty school that took 2 hours! I did some shopping. Our front door has a keyless lock, so we needed more batteries. I bought the nail polish for our MBs. I also got some makeup for myself, since I was on the last little bit on all of it. Then, when I got home, Marissa wanted to go hair dye shopping, so I took her back to Fred Meyers (where I had just been) and she was able to find a copper instead of auburn color. She has been wanting me to color her hair all day. I will, just not now.

OH...and I have a dilemma. I told BF that we wouldn't do Disney for 2 years. Well, I found out today that the dance team is going to be performing in Disneyland this year. He said no deal unless it is free. I am wondering if they will have lots of fundraising opportunities. And they are going to perform with the Sonic cheerleaders. Sounds interesting.

It should be an interesting year.

I loved all of the pictures - even the goofy poses... I especially loved the one with Flick though! But seriously, the one of Snow White and the service dog is absolutely PRECIOUS!!! I love that!

It looks like you had a great day 2!

Bummer about the magicband painting... Sounds like it turned out OK though?

I hope you were able to get everything done yesterday... and good luck with the (non) Disney planning - LOL... I forsee another trip... ::yes::

D~

Fantastic Photopass pictures! aww the one with the service dog... :lovestruc

Good luck with shopping. I need to do that today too.. and...... and...... and...

its' never ending isn't it?!?!

hang in there!! YOU GOT THIS

Quick update. Mentioned to Marissa that there were no Merida pictures. She told me that they were all on HER phone. Ha ha.

The magicband painting turned out as good as it gets for me.

We loved watching Snow White with the dog. The picture I took didn't do it justice. That dog was in heaven. If dogs could purr, there would have been loud purring.

I really don't know about the other trip for Chelsea and Disneyland. I hope there is tons of fund raising and scholarships available.

Did you notice that there was only one picture with a "classic" Disney character? They refused to stop and see any of the classic Disney. We saw them all. They never stop for Chip and Dale though. I was a bit sad.

We are at 13 days today!!!!!

Thank you Mo. I love the pictures too.

We will stop by JoAnn's tonight on the way home to get another white t-shirt. Thankfully, they were $3.50. The woman mentioned that they had other Jr. Fit t's on sale for $0.98 and some for $1.49, so we will check those out too. Can't have too many plain t-shirts.

13 more days!!!! I....can.....make......it......to.......vacation. I have a ton of :laundy: to do. Not looking forward to that.

Have a great day.

I love all the pictures. Truthfully, some of the silly ones are my favorites...and they bring back such great memories.

I foresee another trip in your future. How can you NOT go if the cheerleaders are performing?

You sound like you were busy with all the running around picking things up.

We love using Garden Grocer when we don't rent a car...so much more convenient.

:cheer2: 13 days :cheer2:

A lucky number!!! HOW EXCITING!!!!!! :thumbsup2 OK now that you have FOUND the merida pictures why are you NOT posting them??!

popcorn::

I can't believe how cheap the shirts are!!!

There is not enough time to get caught up with laundry... ever.

Oh goodness. I still need to do the Garden Grocer! Need to make a list of all that remains.

I don't know about the Disney trip. He said he didn't care if the entire 5th grade class decides to go to Disneyland this year, that Chelsea should not go. :confused3 Then again, non of kids went on any school trips, not even field trips. I wouldn't know how to tell her no, if everyone else was going (it isn't like they are all jumping off cliffs...it is Disneyland). :headache:

12 Days today!

Marissa hasn't sent me the Merida pictures yet. I need to get them before she leaves for Texas in the morning. Not happy about the 5:30 AM flight.

We went back for another white shirt. We checked out the clearance ones, they had every size, except for the Jr. fit Small. We could have gotten a child large, but those just look too much like squares. So, we just got the plain white one for $3.50. They are on sale for 2 for $7 if you happen to need shirts.
