I have one banked point that expires on 1/31/06, does anyone know if banked points can be transferred to someones account? If it can be done and you need the point it's yours for FREE!!!!! Just send me a PM and let me know. :goodvibes

I trying to get rid of 4 odd points myself - I could use your point for use in Dec. though - I just need one more for my reservation in Dec. -- I'm going to check on transferring banked points. Keep me in mind and I'll get right back to you, OK? Tink

Banked points cannot be transferred to another member.

You would have to borrow points from your next Use Year to combine with the 1 banked point to make a reservation for someone else in order to get any benefit from that point.

It may be best to consider it gone! ;)

Yikes! well, I guess now we know - hmmm, no wonder no one had asked! It was still a very nice offer though - I know how it feels - hate to see any points go to waste! Tink

Or someone could transfer enough points to you to reserve one night. Hardly worth the trouble or risk either from your standpoint or theirs. if you can't use or bank it, just let it go.

just on a side note.....

if banked or borrowed points cannot be transferred to someone else to use, isn't it possible for someone to transfer points to "you" (being the owner of the points about to expire) in an amount enough for you to make a reservation in "their" name?

A little confusing I realize, but depending on the amount of pts going to waste, it would be a way to save them.

SECOND: when making reservations I believe CM first use up the banked and borrowed points in your acct before using current use year, thereby allowing you to bank the current year if need be.

Thanks for the replies! I really just hated to see it (any point) go unused....kind of gives you a "SICK" feeling!

Yes, that is possible. Sounds like a bit of a hassle for only a few points, though. Not sure I'd want to do it no mattter which side of the transaction I had.

The CM does not always do it this way. (I've read many posts that back up that statement). It's best to specify which points you want used when you call and to verify the points status after every transaction. All CMs are not created equal.

Best wishes -
