1 Evening for MK - MVMCP or Spectro

Looking for some expert advice.

My family and 1 will be going to DisneyWorld for a short trip from 11/29 - 12/3. Since we are there for such a short time we only have one evening to spend at MK.

We can either attend MVMCP on Thursday 11/30 or see Spectro on Saturday 12/2. Which would you do and why?

Although I LOVE the SpectroMagic parade - I would chose MVMCP for your evening in MK. Yes it is a ticketed event so it will cost you extra money but you can enter the MK at 4:00 and do not have to use up a ticket there for that day. IF you like Christmas, there are a few great Holiday shows that are not shown during regular MK hours, the parade is great (watch from Main Street and you will get snowed on) and I have heard the Holiday Wishes fireworks are wonderful. We did this a few years ago before the special holiday fireworks and hope to catch the holiday version this December. You will also get a free picture for everyone in your group. There are designated location around the park where they take your picture, you fill out a form and they mail the picture to you. There is also free hot coco and cookies. Since you are going so early in the season, hopefully the party will not be too crowded.

As a side note, do not miss the holiday version of IllumiNations at Epcot. This ususally starts the weekend after Thanksgiving and there will not be a dry eye in the house.

MVMCP is a whole extra evening of enjoyment. Spectro gives you 20 minutes. We love Spectro, but if I could only do one or the other and you can afford to go to MVMCP......then MVMCP would be my vote.

MVMCP! Definately. Im really sad that I have to miss it this year, but we are going to do the halloween party in September.

They make it snow on Main Street. Picture this... its night time.. Main street is in full Christmas decorations... you are looking at the castle surrounded by the soft glow of lights from the buildings... and it starts to snow! It is sooo awesome. We absolutely love the special Christmas parade. We usually catch it twice!! The toy soldiers with their loud clomping feet are my favortie!! We also love seeing the characters dressed up for winter. I think its a must do. We have done mvmcp 3 times. One year, we even went TWICE in one trip. One night to ride rides and see parade and fireworks. And the next night to see the shows and see parade and fireworks. I dont think you will be disappointed in MVMCP!

If I go to MVMCP on Thursday 11/30 my touring plan has me back at MK on Saturday morning 12/2, which is suppose to be the taping of the Christmas Parade. How bad do you think Saturday morning will be?
