1 Day Left on 4 Day HPlus - Upgrade??

We've got a 4 Day Hopper + ticket from last year with a park day remaining, probably has a Plus left, too. What, if anything, are my upgrade options?

I was wondering the same thing. I have a 4 day park hopper with 1 day left. We are going to the Gulf Coast of Florida in 3 weeks and would like to go over to Disney for 2 days. If I can add a day it would be great because we could park hop and get more done.

Bill:

You can receive a credit for the unused major park admission and have that credit applied to a new ticket. Be warned that you will lose the remaining plus option(s) as there is no dollar value to them for upgrading. Head to any Guest Relations location at the major parks or at DTD to do this.

Unless not using that leftover day will "break the bank", I'd say don't bother. Just use the remaining park day and plus(es) up.

Sorry but you cannot add a day to your ticket. You would have to do the same as Bill. That is to apply the unused dollar value of your remaining day to a new ticket of 4 days or more.

I too have one day, and one plus option left on my 5 day park hopper plus from last year. After reading the boards, I am going to use that one day, and my plus at the parks this year. I have
purchased a 4 day hopper plus to go along with it. I just could not loose that plus option.

Thanks for the reply... we'll have one day left on a 4 day hopper plus from this trip and was wondering the same thing. We cashed in our HiltonHonors points for hopper passes and they only offered a 4 day park hopper plus. We only plan on doing 3 parks so will have one left. Didn't know you could 'apply' it to anything so this is good to know.

I would also think another reason not to upgrade is that you loose the "advance purchase" of the 4 day right because you would do this upgrade down in WDW when you buy the 4-day??

Or could you buy the 4-day "advance purchase" discount and then uprade to a 5 day down at WDW with your one days and your 4 days?

I'm asking this because this is the situation for our friends coming with us. They have one day left on 4 or 5 day passes and then are also going to buy 4 day passes to make this trip a 5 day trip. I was thinking they needed to buy their 4 day pass now to get the discount of "advance purchase" and then bring their 1 day left passes and use them separately and they couldnt' combine them because they bought them before they came down.

Does anyone know how this would work? THank you!

You have a very different situation here. You got your ticket using a rewards program (HH) and therefore have what is considered a complimentary ticket by Disney. It will have no dollar value as you didn't pay anything for it.

Disney doesn't base the upgrade value on what a comparable ticket would be worth. It bases it on what you actually paid for the ticket.

Correct. The upgrade at WDW will be charged at gate prices.

If they upgrade any previously purchased ticket at WDW, they will lose any advance purchase discount they had on the ticket. You are correct in your theory that their best option monetarily is to use them separately. Since the old ticket only has one day left on it, it shouldn't pose much of a problem to do this.
