1 crazy family+2 resorts+5 parks+1 snake+1 surprise=A Mickeystoontown report 4/3x2

I love Under the Sea ...it is just a happy ride to me! Hopefully all will be finished on the Mine Train when you go in May! Just think...the new parade AND the mine train! By the time I get back...those will be "ancient" news!! :sad1:

so glad I made it back over before you finished the dreaded L-Day!
I have been reading up where I can, so pardon what is now my usual jumpiness of comments....

Your photos of under the sea are pretty good. I also cannot resist taking photos of the little details on the walk way in. they are so cool!
and don't you love the Beasts castle? I do.
Your guys look great in front of Gaston's statue!
By the time you go again (in what, 79 days???) you will see the parade and maybe the mine train. I am jealous....I have to wait till June (I'm not going with Joe in May!)

Your coral reef dinner looks yummy. That bailey's thingamabob dessert looks really good. I could go just for dessert!

My sister in law swears that Disney has a cloud making machine that makes the clouds look like Disney characters and scenes. you can't help but look up and see Mickey, pluto or dumbo up there!

Hope whatever is going on settles down & works out okay for you Lisa.

(and you make me feel guilty cuz I go for much more than a week without updating my TR!)

Hope you are warm today. We are waiting more snow. sigh.

Well I was waaaayyyyyyyy behind I just got caught up.

I'm so happy you weren't hurt. That's crazy the driver hit 3 parked cars AND a building. I'm always scared of people texting and looking at their phones while they are driving. If that is what happened I hope he learned his lesson and realizes how bad it could have turned out.

I hope everything is OK at home for you I'm sending your family my best wishes.

You really did get good shots in the LM ride. All of mine came out blurry.

I missed the drama while I was away last week. I am so happy you weren't hurt in the accident and that your car was ok. Do you know the people who owned the other cars? I'm glad you have a guardian angel watching over you!

I'm also sending positive thoughts and virtual hugs to you!

************************************************

I love your tradition of ending your trips at MK. I agree with Mary Ellen- what a great picture looking back from the castle.

EXCELLENT pictures of the Little Mermaid ride!!!

Those are some handsome, or perhaps I should say "ham"some men you have posing there in front of Gaston's fountain.

:)

I appreciate the positive thoughts and virtual hugs! I seem to need them quite a bit lately.

The men were definitely "ham"some men! LOL!

Jesse cracks me up! :rotfl2:

Love your pictures. What did the boys think of the LM?

And cute pictures of you and your mom.

All of the guys like the ride and didn't complain one bit.

You may have already written this and I skipped over it some how. I just wondered how long did it take you to get on the Little Mermaid ride ? Do you think we would need a fastpass+ . I'm thinking the lines should go pretty fast if it is like Haunted Mansion. Just wondered because we only get 3 now :sad2:

I don't remember the exact wait time but I don't remember it being overly long.

Hey Lisa,

I haven't been on the Dis boards in years!!!! I found your trip report yesterday and started reading, reading, and reading some more!! I am finally caught up! lol. Sad that is your l-day though. :( But excited you go back soon! I don't go until Dec.

Hey! Welcome! When I finally finish up this report, I'll be starting a pre-trip report so you'll have even more to keep you occupied until December.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the mine train will be open by the time we return.

The castle looks beautiful! I can't wait to try BoG next trip.

Your guys look great in front of Gaston's statue!

They were definitely showing off their muscles.

You know what? I haven't counted down the days in a while. I need to do that. I know that it was in the 80s last time I checked.

Your coral reef dinner looks yummy. That bailey's thingamabob dessert looks really good. I could go just for dessert!

We've decided not to go to Coral Reef next trip. I hope that we don't regret the decision.

My sister in law swears that Disney has a cloud making machine that makes the clouds look like Disney characters and scenes. you can't help but look up and see Mickey, pluto or dumbo up there!

I wouldn't be surprised if they really ddi.

Hope whatever is going on settles down & works out okay for you Lisa.

It is going to be alright. I have Faith!

(and you make me feel guilty cuz I go for much more than a week without updating my TR!)

Hope you are warm today. We are waiting more snow. sigh.

Yesterday, it was in the 70s and it was snowing this morning. :confused3

He had to have been on the phone or texting or something.

I hope everything is OK at home for you I'm sending your family my best wishes.

Thank you Kathy!

You really did get good shots in the LM ride. All of mine came out blurry.

A lot of mine were blurry too!

Wouldn't ya know it....I have a little time to post an update and photobucket is down. I'll keep trying throughout the afternoon and see if it's back up again.

Whew I just saw the post about the truck hitting the building. I'm so glad that you are okay!!

I love your little mermaid pictures! And your Gaston fountain pic is hilarious!

I was scared spitless when the truck hit our building. :scared:

I was surprised that the pictures came out as well as they did.

Ain’t no way, I’m waitin’ that long for a crocodile! Let’s go see the dolls!”

Having gone on an undersea ride with Ariel and her friends and having made a potty stop, we were off to explore more of the new Fantasyland. It was decided that we would see how long the line was for Peter Pan and, although this picture:

does mention how long the wait was, I remember that it was long and someone in our group uttered the words “Ain’t no way, I’m waitin’ that long for a crocodile! Let’s go see the dolls!”. Okay, so the Southerness in us was comin’ out in a big way.:rotfl: But, we all agreed and we shuffled over to the right where we got in line for It’s A Small World. :thumbsup2

Again, we had a little bit of a struggle getting Mama in the boat. As she has said before and I believe that I wrote before, Mama says that steps/escalators and tri-focal lens aren’t a good mix. We all got situated and we were off:

Hunter had one camera and I had another which will explain why there may be some almost duplicate pictures (and why they are in a mixed up order)

**Continued in next post

As we stepped out, we could see some storm cloud looming overhead and figured it would be in our best interest to duck into something close-by just in case it started raining. We decided that our best bet would be to see Mickey’s Philarmagic:

Our timing was perfect and we had no wait at all which is a good thing but also a bad thing when you’re trying to snap a picture of one of the little hidden Mickeys painted in the mural:

I thought that I might get a picture while inside the theater and it came out looking like this:

The show was great and it was fun to see Mama (and a lot of other people around us) smiling at the show. :p It’s one of our favorites! We exited the theater to see that we had, indeed, made a wise decision to do something inside. It had rained during the show and was still sprinkling a little. We took some time to look around in the store but didn’t purchase anything. I did take two pictures though:

Our stomachs were telling us that we were in need of food and, since Mama had missed out on Pecos Bill’s the first Magic Kingdom day and we all like the food there, why not eat there again? The next set of pictures that I look at on Photobucket are three really dark, really crappy pictures but, from one of them, I can tell that we were able to take a ride on Peter Pan. Look closely, you can make out the mermaids:

Oh and there’s this one of the back of a pirate ship:

If we thought that Mama had trouble getting on an off a boat, it wasn’t nothin’ like getting her on an off a moving/sailing pirate ship. In hindsight, I really should have asked one of the castmembers to just stop the belt long enough for her to load and unload. :rolleyes1 Live and learn, live and learn.

As I said, we were getting hungry and Pecos Bill’s was our destination so we took the walkway by the new Rapunzel themed bathrooms:

The lines at Pecos Bill’s were bad and we had our food and our tables in a relatively short period of time and were chowing down on our grub. Grub which I forgot to take pictures of. :sad2:

I did get a picture of the room that we were in and one of Lacey:

While we were eating, I could tell that Mama was getting tired. We had, after all, been at Walt Disney for ten days and had been going, pretty much, non-stop since we arrived. It was decided that we’d stop at Pirates of the Caribbean and then John and I would see Mama back to the bus stop so she could go back to the resort and rest.

When we got to the building, we could see that the line went out to the right of the entrance. This was the first time that we had ever seen the line like that. Usually, we walk right on in. But, the wait time didn’t say that it was super long so we got in line with the rest of ‘em:

Mama did a little better getting in and out of the boats at Pirates which was a good thing because, like I said, she was pretty worn out by this stage of the trip. We told Lacey, Jesse and Hunter that we were taking Mama to the front of the park and that we may even ride all the way back to the resort with her. They were off for more adventure and we were off to the front. I took just a few pictures along the way:

Mama insisted that she would be fine riding the bus back to the resort by herself so we walked her to the bus stop. John and I decided that we’d do something different. We weren’t going back to the park just yet.

**Up next: The wilderness was made for explorin’!

We love Mickey's Philharmagic too!!

Your sweet momma must be exhausted by this point and Hunter "sleeping" on her. :lmao:

Wondering where you are headed but thinking it's maybe Wilderness Lodge...

Sounds like you guys had fun on IASW, Philharmagic, PP and PoTC. And yummy Pecos Bills!! I'm sure your Mama was tired after 10 days of going, I would be too! Can't wait to read what you and John did next.

Hey! Thanks for coming out of lurkdom! I really appreciate the compliments. We have such a great time together and I am sure that shows in or pictures.

If you're going May, you don't have long to wait! There are all sorts of new things that have happened since your last trip. I can see why you are anxious to get back there!

Please feel free to comment whenever you want!

Yeah I can really tell you guys have a great time together! I like how you all aren't afraid to make silly and goofy faces in public! We are the same way! May can't come soon enough! Our main trip is mostly going to be in Marco Island, but when we decided that we were going to Florida I decided we HAD to take a detour to Orlando. We are only going to the Magic Kingdom for one day, but I'm going to try and cram as much fun in as possible! I was only 16 last time I went, so I am super excited to go and see everything that has changed.

Love the lastest installments, your last day at Magic Kingdom looks like a lot of fun. :)

Scary about that car that almost hit you. Glad you're okay!

I look forward to reading more. :)

It is scary about the truck.
Nice mermaid pics.
Hercules! Hercules! LOl. Ok Gaston! Gaston!
Looks like a fun time at MK.

Good call getting into Philharmagic before the rain started! I love that attraction, makes me smile every time too.
I love it's a small world, it's such a sentimental favourite of mine!
No wonder Mama was getting tired, I do too nearing the end of a long trip!

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Nice update! I love your picture outside of PP. My kids WOULD make me wait to see the crocodile.

I love the selfie Hunter took of him and Lacey on IASW, and the look on Jesse's face. I don't know why, but it made me laugh.

Your Mama is a trooper! Glad she got her rest. Can't wait to see where you and John go on your adventure!

Omg! All of my favs in one update! :))
I love PP, IASW, Philarharmonic, and Pecos!! I have plans to eat there on our quickie trip!

You talking about mamaw trying to get on the boat? Shoot- I'm 29 and have a hard time! Lol!!

Great updates!!!

I have to say, I won't wait in line for PP either.:sad2: But I am not a huge fan of the dolls, though DD makes sure we do them at least once a trip for nostalgia sake! ;)

LOVE Philharmagic!!! The apple pie smell is soooooo wonderful! And I love all the music.

We ate at Pecos Bills this summer for the first time in a long time. It was very good. For some reason, we always seem to eat over in Tomorrowland when we are at MK. Will have to change that up more.

After 10 days, I bet everyone was feeling a little worn out.

Can't wait to see what Wilderness you explore!
