1 crazy family+2 resorts+5 parks+1 snake+1 surprise=A Mickeystoontown report 4/3x2

We love Mickey's Philharmagic too!!

Your sweet momma must be exhausted by this point and Hunter "sleeping" on her. :lmao:

Wondering where you are headed but thinking it's maybe Wilderness Lodge...

Mama was plain old tuckered out by the time this day rolled around.

Hopefully, you won't have to wait long to see whether or not we visited the Wilderness Lodge. ;)

Sounds like you guys had fun on IASW, Philharmagic, PP and PoTC. And yummy Pecos Bills!! I'm sure your Mama was tired after 10 days of going, I would be too! Can't wait to read what you and John did next.

We were able to see and do several things and didn't even get there at rope drop.

Yay an adventure!!!!

Everybody loves an adventure! :thumbsup2

Yeah I can really tell you guys have a great time together! I like how you all aren't afraid to make silly and goofy faces in public! We are the same way! May can't come soon enough! Our main trip is mostly going to be in Marco Island, but when we decided that we were going to Florida I decided we HAD to take a detour to Orlando. We are only going to the Magic Kingdom for one day, but I'm going to try and cram as much fun in as possible! I was only 16 last time I went, so I am super excited to go and see everything that has changed.

Love the lastest installments, your last day at Magic Kingdom looks like a lot of fun. :)

Scary about that car that almost hit you. Glad you're okay!

I look forward to reading more. :)

I have a friend, KatMark who visits Marco Island every year. She and her husband love it there. If I were that close to Disney World, I'd have to make that detour too.

The truck running into the building scared me half to death!

It is scary about the truck.
Nice mermaid pics.
Hercules! Hercules! LOl. Ok Gaston! Gaston!
Looks like a fun time at MK.

Oh my gosh! Now I have that scene from The Nutty Professor in my mind "Hercules! Hercules! Hercules!" I love that movie!

Good call getting into Philharmagic before the rain started! I love that attraction, makes me smile every time too.
I love it's a small world, it's such a sentimental favourite of mine!
No wonder Mama was getting tired, I do too nearing the end of a long trip!

I always always have to sing along with Philarmagic. What can I say? It brings out the kid in me.

Nice update! I love your picture outside of PP. My kids WOULD make me wait to see the crocodile.

I love the selfie Hunter took of him and Lacey on IASW, and the look on Jesse's face. I don't know why, but it made me laugh.

Your Mama is a trooper! Glad she got her rest. Can't wait to see where you and John go on your adventure!

Welllll, we did get to see the crocodile a little while later so it was all good.

I don't know what in the world Jesse was thinking/doing at that moment but it doesn't look good.

Mama was so tired by that point. But, I hope that I have that much energy when I'm 80 years old.

Omg! All of my favs in one update! :))
I love PP, IASW, Philarharmonic, and Pecos!! I have plans to eat there on our quickie trip!

You talking about mamaw trying to get on the boat? Shoot- I'm 29 and have a hard time! Lol!!

I love them all too! Actually, there's not much about the Magic Kingdom that I don't love, if anything.

Great updates!!!

I have to say, I won't wait in line for PP either.:sad2: But I am not a huge fan of the dolls, though DD makes sure we do them at least once a trip for nostalgia sake! ;)

LOVE Philharmagic!!! The apple pie smell is soooooo wonderful! And I love all the music.

We ate at Pecos Bills this summer for the first time in a long time. It was very good. For some reason, we always seem to eat over in Tomorrowland when we are at MK. Will have to change that up more.

After 10 days, I bet everyone was feeling a little worn out.

Can't wait to see what Wilderness you explore!

It's been a long time since we've eaten anywhere other than Pinocchio's or Pecos Bill's. I guess we need to venture out. :rotfl:

The wilderness was made for explorin’!

Once we saw that Mama had gotten on the bus okay, John and I strolled back towards the park entrance but stopped short or going into the park. Something to our left caught our eye. A boat dock. We decided to let Jesse, Lacey and Hunter have some time to themselves and we’d take a boat ride over to the Wilderness Lodge to have a look around. I don’t remember exactly how long it took for a boat to arrive but I remember it being a little long but not so long that we changed our minds.

I took some pictures while waiting:

We, along with about a dozen others, boarded the boat and we were off to the Wilderness Lodge. :sail: I always forget how beautiful the lodge is until we walk in and see the lobby that’s so grand and majestic.

In the past, John has found t-shirts at the Lodge that he likes but not this time. Actually, we were quite surprised that they already had their long sleeve shirts out and it was the first week of June. :confused3 We looked around a little more inside the store but left empty-handed. On our way out of the lobby, John took a minute to look more closely at a cart that was near the fireplace:

We wandered around a little bit more and then made our way down to the boat dock. Instead of going back to the park, we were going to explore a little more. We were going to take the boat over to Fort Wilderness. Looking toward the Contemporary:

Again, I don’t remember how long we waited but it wasn’t extremely long and we were off to Fort Wilderness:

The first order of business when we docked was to find the facilities. I had to tinkle! The bathroom was, thankfully, not too far so I was saved the embarrassment of walking around with wet undies. I’m tellin’ ya, people, I had to go.

Wanna see what the inside of the bathrooms at Fort Wilderness look like?

**Continued in next post

The store at Fort Wilderness isn’t that large but I found a treasure inside! :cool1: Something that I had been looking for since Day 1 of the trip. Actually, I should change that up. John found a treasure inside! :cheer2: He found a flipper! A flipper? Yeah, a Mickey hand pancake flipper. I had searched “the world” over and this was the one and only flipper that was to be found anywhere. John quickly snatched it up and paid for it before anybody could come in and claim my flipper as their own. I know that I was grinning like a possum eating persimmons. Okay, so I’m easily pleased. What can I say? :p
Purchase made, we set out to do a little more walking before going back to the park with my treasure in my backsack.

Looking back at my pictures, it really doesn’t look like we did much in the way of looking around and we probably could have done more exploring but I am happy with what we did. It was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the parks for even a short while. ::yes::

Once again, we caught the boat and were on our way back to the Magic Kingdom. Apparently, I was in a tree picture taking mood:

The Wilderness Lodge nestled amongst the trees:

The Contemporary:

The Polynesian in the distance:

Construction of the new bus loop:

Just like that, we were back at the Magic Kingdom and it was time to find the rest of our gang.

**Up next: It’s hotter than blue blazes out here! Is my face red?

I relay like the Wilderness Lodge. I think I'll add it to my bucket list. Glad you found your flipper. Not sure I have ever seen one but I did get a Mickey hand spatula in my stocking this Christmas. Andy bought it without me seeing when we there in Dec.

Wilderness Lodge is GORGEOUS!!! It's on my bucket list of places to stay in the winter! When we go over to eat at Whispering Canyon, we always go over to the DVC building and the boys play checkers by the fire while DH and I sit in the chairs and relax. I've never been to Fort Wilderness before but I hear that it has lots of neat things as well.

Wilderness Lodge is such a gorgeous resort! I've only been in it once to see Christmas decorations, but I enjoyed walking around and seeing everything inside, and out.

I've been to Ft Wilderness a couple of times, and it's a nice campground area! I'm glad you found your flipper. It's certainly nice to take a bit of time to just explore and decompress at times, even at WDW.

I have never really had a good look around either the Fort or the Lodge. They're both so beautiful (especially that lobby at the Lodge!) I have to get there to spend some time some day.
Hooray for Mickey flippers! I have most of the Mickey kitchen utensils, but not that one.
Sounds like a relaxing way to spend a little time!

Thank you for the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness pics. We are going to the Hoop De Doo this year and making a side stop at Wilderness Lodge on the way. I can't wait to see it in person. How long is the boat ride from Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness, or do you remember??

I'm glad you found your flipper!! I'm new here as a member, but I really enjoy reading every one else's reports so much that I decided to post my own... though I need to figure out how it will allow me to post pictures, lol.

I've enjoyed following along on your family's adventures :)

Fun adventure! The Wilderness looks gorgeous. We'll have to go check it out sometime.

Yay for the Mickey hand flipper! Fun!

I love your selfies on Little Mermaid :rotfl2:

Your Mama has done so well on your trip, it's great how the 3 generations tour so well together :)

Yay for finding your flipper, I said to my DD just today that this trip as soon as we see something we like we're to buy it as every trip there's always something we want and we say we'll get it later then it's always gone!!

We have stayed at the WL and the Poly but not the CR. Nice to see pictures of the area again. We are going with a mod this time. Prices are just to high anymore.

Hi! Feeling a bit melancholy today and decided to come visit the DIS for a fix. No trips in our future, so I have to live vicariously here.

Did you go to the stables at Fort Wilderness? We enjoyed a nice walk around there last year.

My dd's in-laws are going to take their family next February. I soooo want to help plan but I am being a good girl and biting my tongue. My dd would love Wilderness Lodge. She misses the woods now that she is living in KY (she lived in the middle of state forest from 1989 to 2013). I should send her my backsacks!

I can't wait to start to follow your next trip report, sorry that this one is winding down.

The WL is really a pretty resort. It's good that you got the chance to get out of the park for a little while.

Mickey's Philharmagic is one of our faves too.

Are your tree pictures Discovery island? I never got to go over there, but I know they still have the "ruins" there. I have read some things about people sneaking over there at times and seen some pictures. It looks creepy now.

It looks like a great last day so far (if there is such a thing). You did 2 unexpected things and the day isn't over yet. I would love to stay a WL at Christmastime.

The Wilderness Lodge is beautiful! The flipper is in the same kitchen line as the Mickey hand spatula.

We once had a reservation at the WL but I ended up canceling because I just couldn't justify paying the extra $1000 that it would cost to stay there.

I remember your trip to Ft. Wilderness. Didn't you do the horseback riding there?

We have dinner reservations to see Hoop Dee Doo and I'm hoping to get there early enough to do a little bit more exploring.:thumbsup2

The boat ride itself wasn't long at all. I usually try to allot an hour when traveling from the resort, to MK and then over to another resort.

I'm glad you found your flipper!! I'm new here as a member, but I really enjoy reading every one else's reports so much that I decided to post my own... though I need to figure out how it will allow me to post pictures, lol.

I'm excited to see a new member! Welcome! Have you figured out picture posting yet? I upload my pictures to Photobucket.com. You'll see several links beside each of your uploaded pictures. Copy the bottom link and paste it on the Dis and your picture will be posted.

Fun adventure! The Wilderness looks gorgeous. We'll have to go check it out sometime.

Yay for the Mickey hand flipper! Fun!

We have been over to the WL many times and always forget how pretty it is.

I was so happy to find that darn flipper! We had been looking for it the entire trip.
