1 crazy family+2 resorts+5 parks+1 snake+1 surprise=A Mickeystoontown report 4/3x2

Hunter reminds me of a bigger version of my Lawson. Just animated and funny. We joke all the time and say that Lawson is going to be on t.v. one of these days. He is just hilarious and makes me smile all the time. Having boys is great, huh?

That's the same thing that we used (and still) say about Hunter! He wants to be a famous stand-up comedian, movie star or musician. And, by golly, I wouldn't put it past him.

In all of our trips to Disney, how come we’ve never seen this?

I’ll start out by saying that I realize that the above sentence is not grammatically correct. ;) Let me also say...or, rather, confirm....that most of our sentences aren’t. :rotfl: We’re just good ol’ Southern folks from the backwoods of Luzianna ya’ll. :thumbsup2 But, we clean up nice when we hafta. :rotfl2: No, seriously. Sometimes, I catch myself sayin’ something and then immediately saying to myself “Boy, did you just sound like a hick or what?”

We left the trolls behind in Norway and headed towards the next country in World Showcase, China.

I’m sure that Hunter looked at the swords again but came away empty handed. This is the first trip in many that he didn’t buy a sword. They were either too expensive or too cheap. Wait! Stop! Something was too cheap? Not just cheap in price but cheap looking.

One more “window shopping” picture:

Isn’t this gorgeous:

While in China, there was something that I wanted to find. Something that I had seen pictures of but had never seen in person. What was that something?

I opened the door to the building that I thought held the exhibit, stepped in and there they were:

**Continued in next post

The details were amazing:

As we walked around the building, looking at the detailed carvings and reading the signs, I muttered “In all of our trips to Disney, how come we’ve never seen this?”

If you’ve never stopped to search for and view the Tomb Warriors, I suggest that you take time and do so. It was really was an interesting exhibit and worth the time to stop and take a gander.

**Up next: Just standing here watching the world float by!

I haven't said "hello" to the Tomb Warriors in quite a few trips. It really is a cool display and done so well. Guess it's about time to stop by again.

Hey Lisa! :wave2:

I'm glad you reported on this, this was also something I hadn't seen before this last trip. I finally made my way in and thought we were going to see the movie too, but Mackie decided she was bored and didn't want to be educated any more.  Probably didn't help that I stayed in that exhibit for almost an hour, can't blame the girl for wanting to move on.

Oh well, she had mochi on the brain and wanted to find it. I figured she wouldn't find it unless we were over in Japan, but sure enough she found it and a lot of other cool stuff she wanted to buy on the "cheap" while in China. I told her we could probably find it online much cheaper when we got home. :goodvibes

I did however enjoy China, something I hadn't seen at all in all my other trips. :)

Great update! I too am glad that you posted that. I am looking forward to really researching the countries in May/June. We have four days scheduled there as it is our FAVORITE park!!

I've never seen them either. I do have to go look and find them. We really shortchanged a lot of World Showcase.

Lisa,

You have now added a second reason for me to want to go to Epcot. Wow! Sword buying, my oldest daughter bought herself a pirate sword. She is going to hang it on her Pirate/Haunted bedroom.:rolleyes1

I can't believe you hadn't seen that yet...in all of your trips! We happened upon it our first trip and I was just amazed! Such a great exhibit! I know what you mean though...there is so much at WDW that we keep seeing things we have never seen. And especially in World Showcase!

(BTW...I love Southern sayings...like Fixin' too...my favorite that makes me sound like a hick!! :lmao:)

There are so many little things back in the corners of the countries. If you don't really take the time to explore each one, you miss a lot.

A couple of years ago at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) they had a display of the terracotta worriers here, the odd thing is liked how they were displayed in WDW better even the ROM had the real things. One of the best exhibits I've see that was traveling was when the Art Gallery of Ontario had the treasures of King Tut.

I'm so glad that we decided to go in and check it out. Like I was saying over on your report, I love looking at things like that.

Hey girl! At least you got to see the exhibit!

There's always a bunch of cool stuff to be found in both China and Japan. They are two of Hunter's favorite stores.

I did however enjoy China, something I hadn't seen at all in all my other trips. :)

Definitely go deep into the countries as there are lots of little gems to be found.

I've only seen the Tomb Warriors once. I think it was because I was on a trip by myself so I felt like I could take as much time as I wanted to to just look around and absorb. :goodvibes

Well, I was very far behind again! I love those terra cotta warriors. I have stopped in there twice, and they are very interesting for sure!

Oh I love seeing the Terra Cotta Warriors. They're pretty cool and yes, just a little creepy. But mostly just really cool. :thumbsup2

Wow, Hunter's muscles! Watch out for that boy!

I can't believe that woman took a picture of your bag. Maybe she didn't realize you made them AND sold them?

I can't believe Lacey can wear those foot shoes. They always look so uncomfortable to me.

Cool Terra Cotta warriors. We definitely have to see those next time we go. Great updates!

I am glad mama got that straigtened out. I know what company you are talking about. Not a fan of them. :rotfl:
I called several years ago to get a quote on something and I felt they were not being truthful with me from the get go and they were kind of rude too.

Fun times at Epcot. I hope to try the new Test Track out this year.

The VP of the head company was super nice and was on the ball. It was one of the Louisiana offices that fell down on the job. Won't be using them again! Of course, we really didn't choose them in the first place. The Retirees group did.

Awww I like those painted animals also !

Aren't they cute!?!

Love Hunter's Viking gear! Totally looks the part! :lmao:

Love that you saw more family while at lunch. And thank you for not just taking up the whole place and having a big happy family reunion right there where people are trying to move around. :thumbsup2

Those shoes with the toes freak me out. I know people who have them love the, and think they are soooo comfortable… but I just don't get it! I barely keep my shoes on my feet if I can slip them off, I do!!

Sorry I was behind. School has been keeping me so busy! I think I'll be mostly stuck to catching up on the weekends for a while! LOL

We knew that we would be in "The World" at the same time but weren't sure if we'd ever run into each other. I'm glad that we did!

The toe shoes are ugly! I hate them but Lacey says that she likes them.

Honey, I understand about being behind. I always seem to be that way.

Is Hunter ever not smiling? I love it. Too funny about the backsack but very nice of you to allow one photo. You've gotta love viking garb :thumbsup2

Lucky for me (and the rest of the family), Hunter is smiling and happy 98% of the time. The other 2%, he's either eating or sleeping. :lmao:

I'm so sorry to hear about your uncle. I'm keeping you and your mama in my thoughts:hug:

:cool1: for Lacey and Jesse booking their vacation, I hope you all can make it a yearly or every other year thing!

How cool someone had your bag!:thumbsup2

I'm glad to hear mama got her packet and I hope she doesn't have anymore problems from them.

Thank you Kathy!

I'm excited that the whole family is going to back to Disney together! I can hardly wait until I get to take a grandbaby. (not that one is coming along any time soon)
