1 crazy family+2 resorts+5 parks+1 snake+1 surprise=A Mickeystoontown report 4/3x2

The people in front of us (a group ranging in the very late teens, early 20s and a few older adults) would stop, sit down and then roll back up off the floor every single time. I’m talking EVERY single time. :furious: People, I understand that you get tired. I understand if your feet hurt. I understand that the queue is boring. But stand the heck up so you aren’t holding up those behind you. :headache: At one point, two of them were still sitting on the ground while the others moved up ahead and John stepped right over them and motioned for us to as well. And, we did and so did a couple behind us. You should have seen the shock on their faces and how they looked when they had to say “excuse me, can we get by and join our group?”. If they can’t get up off their sorry.....Lisa, shut up before you get in trouble.

That's hysterical! I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!

All caught up again! So funny that you saw one of your backsacks in the park. You should have gone up to say hello. You never know, it may have been a closet Diser that purchased your sak and you could've had a little surprise Dismeet!

You would think that after the refurb of Test Track, the ride would be running better. It still has a poor "Track" record of breaking down. I agree it isn't bad, but I was really hoping for more than what we got-a very pricey Chevy commercial.

For some reason I didn't go on test track so it was good seeing the updates. Your car looks like a future Nascar model but Lacey's looks like a vw bug on steroids.

Well, Lacey always did want a VW bug! :rotfl: Maybe her subconscious had her design it like one.

Hi Lisa. Just getting back on the boards after a sadness hit since I wasn't getting to go to DW. But, we managed to work it out and we get to go. :cool1::cool1::banana::dance3: It is funny you mentioned frozen pipes, my best friend works for an attorney too, and their pipes froze as well. She said she had never been happier to have running water again than when she could tinkle when she had too.

Back to finish catching up now. ::yes::

Welcome back to the Dis! It's good to have you back! I see that your ticker and mine are almost exactly alike. Our trip are going to overlap!

Sounds like attorneys don't know how to weatherproof their bathrooms. ::yes::

I talk to myself too...I didn't know there was something wrong with that! :confused3 I just try to not let people hear me answer myself!! :lmao:

I like the new Test Track! The designing your own car is cool and the Tron effects have grown on me! I think change just hurts for some. It does for me but I feel Future World needs some changes!

When I am cleaning the house is when I talk to myself the most especially when I'm at home by myself (very rarely).

Yeah, change is good and, like you said, Future World can use some changes.

I hate rude people. Seriously, I would have been leading the pack with John in climbing over them.

Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of the new Test Track and unless there is no line, Mark and I will skip it...although I am sure the girls will want to do it in May/June. I do like the ride itself, I just could do without the designing.

I will say you guys did great on your designs of your cars.

They just kept sitting there and that infuriates John to no end.

I've never been a fan of much of anything but the ride on Test Track. I guess I'm not a techie, a gamer or a car lover. :rotfl:

OH NO! Speedos should be outlawed.

If you go back and look at that picture again, you can see a little lady sitting on the left. She was dressed in a tiny bikini and was as wrinkled up as a prune. Yep, she was with Speedo guy.

It looks so relaxing to just sit and people watch there.

I love people watching especially at Disney.

Frozen pipes stink.

They sure do!

Living with the Land is Vinny’s favorite ride. Thankfully I enjoy it too.

My grandparents were commercial farmers and I bet they would have a fit if they could see how Epcot grows things.

That is nice that you saw one of your bags.

It was pretty cool to see it.

Good for John walking by the people sitting. They should move and how inconsiderate to expect everyone to wait while they sit.

Especially considering there was quite some space between them and their group.

I like the ride part of TT but getting there is horrible.

I'm not a "car" person so nothing in the queue really excite me.

Great updates and pics.

Thanks!

Ok thanks, this was exactly what I wanted to know if booked both at 2 hours apart would work out :thumbsup2. Right now we have a 7:00 reservation at T-rex and was thinking of going to the 9:00 Cirque show. We can always leave the restaurant early though if we have to.
So do think the line for fastpass will be long waits on TT or was it just because it had been broken down ? That is one fastpass we plan on getting for sure when we go, hope it isnt going to be a long wait.

I think that you'll be fine. I'd suggest that, as soon as you are on your dessert (or entrees if you aren't getting dessert) that you ask for your ticket. That way, you don't have to wait on your server when you are ready to leave.

Also, another tip. When you leave T-Rex, take the sidewalk that's near the parking lot. It's much less crowded than walking through Pleasure Island. At least it always has been for us.

I think that the line for Test Track was long simply because it was shut down for a while. Most times, Fastpass lines move rarely quickly.

That's hysterical! I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!

That kind of crap makes me soooo mad! John would have picked me up and pulled me across if he had to because we were going to get around them.

I hadn't thought of it like that. :rolleyes1

I remember years and years ago when Test Track first opened it was shut down all of the time. Once they gave us a Fastpass that was good forever. I thought "yeah right" but brought it back the next year and they let me use it!

Those people would have ticked me and my dh off. We would have stepped right over them too and given them dirty looks. I just can't believe how inconsiderate some people are. Hello, the world does NOT revolve around you.

Test Track looks so cool! I have not been on that ride since 2001 and am so excited to ride again!

We will be there May 26-June 5. Another friend of mine that I see regularly will be there the 29th-4th. We are looking forward to it. I actually snagged some decent ressies considering I didn't book until mid-January. :)

Definitely agree that lawyers are no plumbers! ::yes::

OMGGGGGG.. I love how you know what Cadillac on 22's is.... LOL! You are one cool mama!!

You know I haven't done Test Track in years!! MY DH and I have been to Disney 6 times together and he has NEVER been on it. This has to change!

I looked up prices for the discounts in May/June and I think we will try POR. I kind of wanted to try POP since it will be such a short trip and go the cheap route but POR is only $30 more for the weekend and obviously being a moderate, its a nicer resort.. Assuming this job comes through and all. Thanks again for letting me know! :)))))

I am not one for confrontation and will usually give people a little more leeway than John will but these people ticked me off big time!

Oh gosh! You haven't ridden since 2001? You have GOT to ride it again!

Great pics! :)

Thank you!

If you see me, be sure and say HEY! If I don't turn around, then whack me on the back to get my attention 'cause I probably didn't hear ya. :rotfl:

I have changed around a couple of our ADRs in the last week and I was surprised at what's still available.

Cadillac on 22s! :cool2: :lmao:

Uh, yeah that's gotta change.

For just $30 more, I'd definitely go with a moderate. I'll definitely be keeping everything I have crossed for ya on the job situation.

Hey Lisa! Hope your holidays were good. I have to go back and really catch up. I've been in a WDW funk lately since we weren't planning on going until 2015, but I'm starting to come out of it. I think we are going to head to Vero Beach for our September break and we may get a night or two at WDW while we are down there.

It's not much, but it will do. :)

Now, I'm off to catch up!

I didnt like 'new' test track the first time we went on, but after 5 or 6 times i really like the update. They must have changed how fast pass works on the ride, when we were thier in september we used fastpass and didnt go in to the design room, it took us up the old part of the que and you meet the normal que at the top of the ramp just before you board.

Good for you for walking right over those people. :rotfl2: That's something I would do. Denny - Never!

I love your car designs - they are great. I love that green. and you got some great outside pictures too!

I think Test Track is what the boys are most looking forward to seeing. It was closed on our last trip. Ugh! Rude people! Glad John led the way to walk right over them.:thumbsup2

Oh...and to answer your question. Yes, I think we have decided to wait and go back in the spring of 2015. We just couldn't seem to work it out this year with DH vacations and the boys vacations. Nick is in honors this year and doesn't want to miss any school so taking them out for a few days is out of the question too. Oh well...it's not so far away. It just gives me more time to plan!:thumbsup2

Hum? That's odd. I don't know if the Fastpass situation has changed since this was the first time that we used it. I guess I'll find out if it's the same when we are back in May.

I know I'm super late to the party, but I'm here! I've been reading for several hours and now I have to get some cleaning done. So I'm subbing or bookmarking or whatever you call it so I can find you when I come back. :thumbsup2

I normally wouldn't do something like that but these people would sit down every single time and then wait a while before ever getting up. Ticked me off to no end.

It was closed during one of our trips too and I was excited to see the new design.

I can certainly understand Nick not wanting to miss school. Don't your kids go until sometime in June? Our schools let out in May but we also go back mid-August.

Welcome! Never too late to join the party! Hope that you'll continue to post your thoughts!

I ain’t afraid of no trolls! I’ve got big muscles!

I don’t have picture proof that we stopped for lunch but I know that we did because I saw my cousins at the Electric Umbrella. Yep, ran into another set of family members at Walt Disney World! :cool1: It was pretty crowded and I hate those kind of people who just linger around, blocking other peoples’ way, so we kept the talking to a minimum and then found a place to sit outside.

We saw my cousin and her family again and waved since they were sitting just a little way from us. :wave2:They had on the cutest shirts that she made for their family trip. They had an EPCOT applique on them and I loved them.

Also seated next to us was a group of young boys and they were with a group because they all had on the same shirts. They were going back and forth between their tables and the drink dispenser and were quite funny to watch. They weren’t really loud or unruly but, rather, quite animated. You could tell that they were having a grand old time together and at Walt Disney World.

After our lunch, we decided that it was time to head to World Showcase and see what was going on in the other parts of the world. We saw a Photopass photographer and stopped to have our pictures made. There was a woman sitting on a scooter that asked where I got my bag and I told her that I had made it. She wanted to get a picture of it so that she could make one herself. I didn’t want to be rude and tell her that I didn’t want her to so I let him take one picture and we left. Everybody thought that I was crazy letting her “steal my design”. Oh well, what’s done is done.

I snapped pictures as we walked. The lady who wanted a picture of my backsack:

John was in need of some coffee so we stopped at a small kiosk and we saw some of the biggest pastries ever (okay so I didn’t get but one picture and the ones in my single picture don’t look that big but I have an excuse for no more picture evidence...we ran into one of my cousins again and I was talking):

Somewhere along the way, Lacey walked through a puddle of water and you could clearly see her footprint from those super duper ugly toe shoe things that she had on:

Apparently, I slacked a lot on the picture taking at this point because I only have a few. Our first stop was in Mexico. Every single time I see these beautifully painted animals, I saw that I’m going to buy one. Then, I turned them over to see the price and I gently put them back down.

I know that we wouldn’t have gone into the Mexico pavilion and not taken a boat ride searching for Donald. However, no picture proof. We do have proof, though, that I received a smooch from my hubby :love2: :

And Hunter was grinning:

Back outside:

Some of us had to make a bathroom stop in Norway. I thought that the ladies restroom sign was cute:

Hunter and Jesse waiting in the shade:

**Continued in next post

We have found that, during our travel times, if something has a 30 or less wait time, it’s best to just go ahead and wait it out. ::yes:: So, in we went and, while we were waiting, we were laughing about trolls gettin’ us and Hunter said “I ain’t afraid of no trolls! I’ve got big muscles!” and proceeded to show us proof::rotfl:

If the wait time was 25 minutes, it didn’t seem like it and we were on our boat and pointing out the Viking wearing the Mickey ears::earboy2:

I can never ever get good pictures on Maelstrom. They always turn out like this:

Get those muscle ready Hunter, I see trolls!

I reminded everyone to quickly make their way through the theater so that we wouldn’t get stuck watching the film. Shouldn’t have worried about it though because the film wasn’t even being shown for some reason.

In the shop, Hunter tried on some traditional Norwegian garb. You know, just in case, his muscles aren’t enough: :lmao:

**Up next: In all of our trips to Disney, how come we’ve never seen this?
