Fingers Crossed for the Mom's Panel - I'd vote for you simply because of your going through the years with both a boy and a girl - up to an including teen years.

Heartful prayers for your family and I'd like to applaud your family for encouraging people to be caring and not to spread rumors on FB. My in-laws went through a very emotional issue this summer (still are) and my heart breaks when I see some of the things insinuated, more for the insinuators rather than the target because it shows that they were so hurt they are lashing out.

Anyway, here's to happier thoughts of the Happiest Place On Earth!

I've finally finished my tr and read yours entirely today,yes it took me hours but thats okay lol I'm not feeling well today so I wasn't going to do anything anyways,plus what better thing to do than read a tr by my fave reporter!Although I truthfully did stop for pizza lunch break ,that was very hard to do n also took me over an hour to eat one slice(had 2 teeth pulled)I had to cut up small like I did when my girls were babies n trying it for the first time.Tr is going great so far,sorry for all the real life things though please know i'm thinking of you all

I'm so sorry that my last two posts have been depressing to say the least. Let's talk about something fun and upbeat shall we? As I am sure that most of you know, the Disney Parks Moms Panel started taking applications this morning at 9:00 a.m. The first thing that I did when I got to work, well, besides turn on the lights, was start the application process. I thought that the questions were easier to answer this year and the only problem that I had was keeping my answers within the 100 words or less limitation. I can hardly tell someone Good Morning in 100 words or less.

Did ya'll submit your applications?

Hey girl still praying here. I did go and put in an application. Thanks for reminding me . I don't know why I apply every year as I never get even a second glance . Disney does not know what they are missing out on by not picking you!! You were creative in you choice of characters too. I chose Tink. Not only is she feisty, she likes to mess with stuff, you know like me laying flooring...........

I shoved the boss out the door yesterday and he's off to his seminar and won't return until tomorrow night. Even though I have stuff to do, I took a break in order to write an installment. I needed my thoughts to turn to something fun and good and pretend that all was right with the world. Of course, those thoughts took me to Walt Disney World and our trip!

Playing the slots at the Magic Kingdom! Huh?

After watching Ariel and Eric fall in love and live happily ever after, we went out into the open Florida sunshine and were off to explore some more. First, a pit stop was in order and, lucky for us, there were brand new restrooms nearby.

While waiting on my main squeeze, I took pictures of the sights around me:









John met up with Hunter and I and, before going into the store nearby, I asked Hunter if he’d stop and pose for a picture. Hunter, being Hunter, had no problem and this is what I got:



We popped into the newly opened store to see what they had for sell. It really didn’t take us long to look at everything since the store was a bit on the small side but they did have some nice things like this:

Well, Hunter wasn’t for sale but the sword, crown and shield were.

Lookin’ around done, we walked back out and we could see the mine train construction going on in front of us:



It was decided that we’d start walking towards Frontierland. We were getting a might hungry and we wanted to see how long the wait was for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. What did being hungry and riding Big Thunder have to do with each other? We wanted to eat at Pecos Bill’s and Big Thunder is nearby so we’d try to do both.



As you can see from some of the pictures above, the area was getting a bit congested but I was able to stop and take a picture of the new castle high above the new Fantasyland:



Oh you couldn’t see how many people were around us? How ‘bout in this picture:



That’s how congested the walkways were in the area in front of It’s A Small World. It felt like It’s A Smooshed World!

We kept to the right of the flow and stopped when we got to the new Tangled themed bathroom area so that I could take a better picture:

Hunter and I wanted to visit the Haunted Mansion and, John went along. Hes not a huge fan of the Haunted Mansion because he doesnt like the whole exit the stretch room and then proceed like a herd of cattle to form a single file line ordeal. The wait was only 25 minutes which wasnt bad considering the crowds that we had encountered going in that same direction.



For the first time ever, I tried taking pictures inside the mansion. Wait, I take that back, I once tried taking a picture of the wallpaper while we were doing the cattle shuffle and someone yelled NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY! When we got to the singing busts, our vehicle stopped so I gave it a shot and the pictures turned out pretty good considering the fact that I didnt fiddle with the settings or anything:







Next up was to check out the wait time for Big Thunder Mountain. We were ready to take a trip through the Wild West!

Look who passed us by:



Yep, thats Wendy and Peter Pan on their way to Fantasyland. They were waving and smiling as they walked along.

I dont have a picture of the standby line wait time but it must not have been too terribly long because the next set of pictures are of us waiting to board our train. Before we got in line though, I walked over and got a set of Fastpasses for us to ride again. Fastpasses in hand, I met up with the guys and we hopped in the standby line.

Apparently, I handed off the camera to Hunter to take pictures some of which are a bit blurry and a lot of which have other folks heads in them :











In this next picture, you can see John and I looking at something in my lap and Im pretty sure that it was at my camera. But, I cant find any Big Thunder pictures that I took on Photobucket. Doesnt mean that I didnt take, I just cant find em.

Wait, I take that back, maybe these are my pictures:












Without even asking where to next?, we all walked towards Pecos Bills. It had been a whole year since wed had squirty plastic cheese and the delicious sauteed mushrooms. We were way overdue for a meal there.

As we usually do, John and Hunter gave me their orders and went to find a table for us. There were castmembers there asking if they were dining there and that they werent supposed to be able to save tables but then they directed them to an empty table? Weve encountered castmembers before that told us that we had to keep our party together but this was a different. Anyway, they found a table and John came back to help me carry everything.

Once we had our food, I went back to the fixins bar and got all of the items we needed to do our burgers up right:



And, no, none of it went to waste because John likes to make a fixins salad with all of the leftover stuff. To me, it looks disgusting but to him, its great.



The utensils are now in metal dispensers and Hunter thought that they looked like slot machines. Before I post pictures of Hunter playing the slots, let me say that the angle of the pictures make it appear that hes right on top of the dispensers but he really was not. Dont want anybody thinking that he was breathing down on them.

Whatll he get? A fork? A spoon? A knife? $10,000?



A fork!



We told him that we really needed a couple of knives and not a fork and to spin that baby around and try again. Come on baby! Mama needs a knife! Hunter said that now he sees why some people have a gambling addiction. Hes such a silly guy.

The food was good but we were ready to get back out and see what other adventures awaited us.

I love all of the silly Hunter pics. The Gaston one and the one in Belle's shop were priceless. You must laugh a lot with that boy around.

I haven't seen the slot machine utensil holders! Your burgers look tasty. I'd rather be having one of them at WDW than a chicken salad sandwich at home right now.
